Abstract

Red Onion (Allium ascalonicum L.) Sabu Raijua is one of the horticultural crops that is widely consumed by the people of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) as a mixture of cooking spices and traditional medicines. For household consumption of around 635,700 tons, non-household consumption such asthe manufacturing industry amounting to 719,200 tons, added up to a total of 1.35 million, meaning a deficit for shallots. The purpose of this study was to obtain information about PGPR in increasing the growth pattern of local onion Sabu Raijua. Using Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 5 treatments, namely p0 (control), P1 (5 ml / liter of water / 2 plants), P2 (10 ml / liter of water / 2 plants), P3 (15 ml / liter of water / 2 plants) ), P4 (20 ml / liter of water / 2 plants) and repeated 4 times. The resultsshowed that local red onion plants of Sabu Raijua given PGPR could increase plant height (42, 45 cm), number of leaves (57.57 leaflets per plant), number of tillers per plant (13.89 tillers). The higher concentration of PGPR can increase the growth pattern of local onion Sabu Raijua plants.

Abstract

Resistance levels of vitamin cand water content on a large red chillies         (capsicum annuuml.) With different types of packaging The aim of this study is to obtain a type of packaging that can preserve high levels of vitamin C and low moisture loss. This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD), consisting of four packaging treatments which are A. Poliethylen plastic; B. gunny; C. Palm leaf material; D. without packaging. Each treatment was repeated five times with total of twenty trials. There was an effect on water content and the levels of vitamin C. Poliethylen plastic packaging is not significantly different with palm leaf material packaging in loss of low water levels and a high content of vitamin C levels obtained. Low vitamin C and low water content was obtained on treatment with gunny packaging and without packaging.Key words: Vitamin C, packaging, Capsicun annum L

Abstract

Ndua Ria Village in the District of Kelimutu Flores is located in a highlands and is one of a central production of vegetables. The cultivation of the potato in the highlands is not optimal; it is because of the farmers which are not able to meet the needs of production facilities, such as potato seeds, fertilizer, insecticide and water in the dry season. Fertilizers and insecticides are too expensive, due to Indonesia's economy which is uncertain it gives the impact on the inability of farmers' purchasing power so that many farmers cannot grow potatoes. In an effort to reducing production costs, especially fertilizer and insecticides in this study it will be tested four kinds of organic fertilizers and trichoderma sp. The research objective is to get the type of organic fertilizer which is capable of interacting with Trichoderma sp in the control Phythopthora infestans, Yellow cyst nematode (PCN) as well as inorganic fungicide, thereby reducing production costs and get the right kind of organic fertilizer and inexpensive but provide optimal is very important. The results showed that organic fertilizer of chicken manure is able to interact with trichoderma, sp in controlling phythopthora infestans and PCN so that it can provide the optimum results against potato yield components, the grade of (6,35), weights (9,50) kg, grade of 10-30g (126.67) g, for grade 30-60 g (236.67) g and grade of > 60g (1422.67) g. For the growth and yield of potato in the plateau area it is recommended to give the optimal use of chicken manure and Trichoderma sp.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu 1) mengetahui konsentrasi Trichoderma sp terhadap pertumbuhan bawang merah varietas Bima 3) Mendapatkan pupuk kompos eceng gondok yang mampu berinteraksi dengan konsentrasi Trichoderma sp sehingga dapat meningkatkan pertumnuhan dan megendalikan penyakit Layu Fusarium pada bawang merah varietas Bima. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut maka dilakukan penelitian ini menggunakan percobaan faktorial dengan Rancangan Petak Terbagi (Split Plot Design) dengan 10 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Sehingga terdapat 10 kombinasi perlakuan dengan jumlah keseluruahan terdapat 30 petak percobaan. Ada 2 faktor yang dicobakan yaitu faktor pertama pupuk kompos eceng gondok sebagai petak utama yaitu : Pupuk kompos eceng gondok 15 ton ha-1 (K1), Tanpa pupuk kompos eceng gondok (K2). Sedangkan faktor kedua sebagai anak petak adalah konsentrasi Trichoderma sp: Penyiraman dengan air biasa (sebagai kontrol) 100 ml (P0), Penyiraman dengan konsentrasi Trichoderma sp 5 ml + air biasa 95 ml (P1), Penyiraman dengan konsentrasi Trichoderma sp 10 + air biasa 90 ml (P2), Penyiraman dengan konsentrasi Trichoderma sp 15 ml + air biasa 85 ml (P3), Penyiraman dengan Trichoderma sp 20 + air biasa 80 ml (P4). Hasil pertumbuhan bawang merah varietas Bima dari perlakuan pupuk pupuk kompos 15 ton ha-1 dengan dengan konsentrasi Trichoderma sp 20 ml + air 80 ml menghasilkan komponen pertumbuhan yaitu jumlah daun (86,37 helai), jumlah anakan (11,64 pohon). Komponen tingkat serangan penyakit yaitu pemberian pupuk kompos 15 ton ha-1 dengan agen hayati Trichoderma sp 20 ml / liter air mampu menekan serangan penyakit layu fusarium (80 %) pada tanaman bawang merah varietas Bima. Katakunci : kompos eceng gondok, trichoderma sp,bawang merah.

Abstract

This research investigates the influence of planting media and watering intervals on the growth of Aglaonema. The study utilizes a Randomized Group Design (RAK) with various compositions of planting media, including husk charcoal, chicken manure bokashi, and eggshell flour, in ratios M1=1:2:1, M2=2:1:2, M3=3:2:1. Watering time intervals were set as I1=once every 2 days, I2=once every 4 days, and I3=every 6 days. There were 27 experimental units, each combination repeated thrice. Statistical analysis, including Sidik Ragam and Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT), revealed a significant interaction effect between planting media and watering intervals on plant height, leaf number, leaf length, and leaf width of Aglaonema. Notably, the composition 3:2:1 showed the highest growth in plant height (5.03cm), leaf number (4.53 strands), leaf length (4.83cm), and leaf width (4.13cm). This composition did not significantly differ from 1:2:2 with a 2-day watering interval and 3:2:1 with a 2 and 6-day watering interval, but it significantly outperformed other treatments. The findings contribute valuable insights into optimizing Aglaonema growth conditions for enhanced quality and productivity.

Abstract

This study investigated the effects of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) derived from tofu wastewater enriched with organic nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) on the growth and yield of green bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) plants. The research was conducted from June to August 2024 on farmers’ land in Noekele, Tuatuka Subdistrict, Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia. A Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) was employed, consisting of six LOF concentration treatments: 0% (control), 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, and 25%, each replicated four times. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA), and significant differences among treatments were further examined using the Honest Significant Difference (HSD) test at a 5% significance level. The results showed that the 5% LOF concentration had the most significant positive effect. At six weeks after planting, this treatment resulted in the tallest plants (191.12 cm), the highest number of pods per plant (23.75), the longest pods (16.14 cm), the greatest pod weight per plant (238.52 g), and the highest average pod weight (10.04 g). These findings suggest that applying LOF from tofu wastewater enriched with organic N, P, and K at a 5% concentration can significantly enhance green bean growth and productivity.
