Abstract

Bidikmisi is tuition assistance from the government for high school graduates (SMA) or equivalent who have good academic potential but have economic limitations. Different from scholarships that focus on providing awards or financial support to those who excel. The achievement requirements for Bidikmisi are aimed at ensuring that Bidikmisi recipients are selected from those who truly have the potential and willingness to complete higher education. Given that the recipients of this bidikmisi must really be the right person, in this study a classification of the recipients of the 2017 bidikmisi in East Java will be carried out, in this study there is data that is not balanced the "Accepted" class is more than the "Not accepted" class. If the data is not balanced, almost all classification algorithms will produce much higher accuracy for the majority class than for the minority class. Researchers will handle class imbalances. The resampling technique used in research related to the prediction of bidikmisi recipients includes resampling techniques, namely Oversampling, Undersampling and SMOTE using two classification methods, namely SVM and Random Forest. The Oversampling technique was chosen because it does not reduce the amount of data but adds to the dataset that is lacking in the minority class. The Oversampling algorithm used is Synthetic Minority Over-sampling Technique (SMOTE), this algorithm was chosen from several resampling algorithms because SMOTE produces good accuracy and is effective in dealing with unbalanced classes because it reduces overfitting.

Abstract

Extreme weather modeling is a challenge for modeling experts in Indonesia and the world. Extreme weather prediction is a complex problem because the chances of it happening are very small, so the developed models often have a low level of accuracy. The purpose of this research is to combine the classic model, Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA), recurrent neural network (RNN) model using Adam and SGD estimation (RNN-Adam and RNN-SGD) with the reLU, tanh, sigmoid and gaussian activation functions. In addition, the ARIMA-RNN mix model was also demonstrated in this study. These models are applied to monthly period extreme weather data obtained from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) of West Sulawesi Province which are converted into training data and test data. The RMSE value is used to see the level of prediction accuracy in both training data and test data. Based on the research results, the best model obtained for modeling Indonesia’s extreme weather is the ARIMA-RNN-Adam mix model with the reLU activation function based on the RMSE value on the training and test data. At n = 50, the smallest RMSE and MSE values of the third model are the ARIMA-RNN-Adam model which is 0.23212 using the reLU activation function, then the ARIMA-RNN-SGD model which is 0.25432 with the same activation function, while the ARIMA value is 0.3270. At n=100 it can be seen that the smallest RMSE and MSE values of the three models are the ARIMA-RNN-Adam model which is equal to 0.25149 using the reLU activation function, then the ARIMA-RNN-SGD model which is equal to 0.25256 with the same activation function, while the ARIMA value is 0.2644.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang model mangsa-pemangsa dengan fungsi respon Holling Tipe II. Infeksi penyakit hanya terjadi pada populasi pemangsa dan menyebabkan kematian. Selain itu dilakukan pemanenan pada mangsa dengan asumsi mangsa memiliki nilai ekonomis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memformulasikan model mangsa-pemangsa dengan fungsi respon Holling Tipe II, infeksi pada pemangsa dan pemanenan pada mangsa, menganalis kestabilan titik kesetimbangan model dan interpretasi model. Analisis kestabilan dilakukan dengan metode linearisasi. Jenis kestabilan ditentukan berdasarkan karakteristik nilai eigen yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan kriteria Routh-Hurwitz. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa kepunahan populasi tidak mungkin terjadi sedangkan mangsa eksis, kepunahan pemangsa sehat, kepunahan pemangsa sakit dan populasi eksis masih memungkinkan terjadi jika memenuhi kondisi yang disyaratkan. Simulasi numerik menunjukkan bahwa laju pemanenan yang diperbesar mengakibatkan jumlah populasi mangsa terus mengalami penurunan secara signifikan dan hampir mengalami kepunahan seiring berjalannya waktu. Semakin berkurangnya populasi mangsa ini mengakibatkan populasi pemangsa juga semakin berkurang secara signifikan dan hampir mengalami kepunahan.

Abstract

This study discusses the Leslie-Gower predator-prey model with the Sokol-Howell response function and anti-predator behavior. It is assumed that prey has anti-predator behavior that aims to reduce the risk of predation and not as an attempt by prey to find food. This study aims to formulate a Leslie-Gower predator-prey model with the Sokol-Howell response function and anti-predator behavior, analyze the model's equilibrium point and model interpretation. Stability analysis was carried out using the linearization method. The type of stability is determined based on the characteristic eigenvalues ​​obtained using Routh-Hurwitz criteria. The results of the analysis of the equilibrium point show that prey populations will exist and predators will become extinct if the anti-predator coefficient is greater than the intrinsic growth coefficient of predators, while prey and predator populations will always exist if the intrinsic growth coefficient of predators is greater than the anti-predator coefficient and fulfills other conditions required. Based on the numerical simulations performed, the interpretation is that an enlarged anti-predator coefficient increases the number of prey populations until they approach the carrying capacity, while predator populations decrease significantly and over time experience extinction.

Abstract

The problem of MTs Guppi Majene partners is the limited human resources that can guide the preparation of the Madrasah Science Competition (KSM) to the National level, and students still need to become familiar with the curriculum being contested. Moreover, the forms of KSM questions differ greatly from the general material in schools. This activity aims to improve students' ability to solve mathematical problems, especially solving KSM problems. This community service program is carried out by observation, implementation, and evaluation methods, with four stages, namely the beginning, preparation, implementation, and final stages. Based on hypothesis testing, a p-value of 0.008 was obtained, which means an increase in students' ability to solve KSM questions. The result of the activity was the selection of 2 students representing MTs Guppi to participate in the 2023 district-level KSM.

Abstract

This dedication improves teachers' understanding of making scientific papers and analyzing data so they are no longer constrained in writing scientific papers and become competent teachers. This service activity was motivated by the problems of teacher partners of SD No. 56 Inpres Kampung Baru, which included 1) teachers being reluctant to take care of promotions, 2) lack of teacher understanding in doing scientific work, and 3) lack of teacher understanding in analyzing data. The solution to this problem is training in writing scientific papers and data analysis for SD No. 56 Inpres Kampung Baru, Majene teachers, using presentation, discussion, demonstration, and practice methods. The stages of implementing this community service are 1) the preparation stage, communication with partners related to problems faced by teachers; 2) the implementation stage, by providing training in writing scientific papers and data analysis, and 3) the monitoring and evaluation stage. Training on the preparation of scientific papers and data analysis has been carried out well based on the evaluation results of 95,45% of participants experiencing an increase in scientific paper writing skills and 96,1% of participants experiencing an increase in data analysis skills.  ---  Pengabdian ini untuk meningkatkan pemahaman guru dalam membuat karya ilmiah dan menganalisis data sehingga tidak lagi terkendala dalam menulis karya ilmiah dan menjadi guru yang kompeten. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan mitra guru SD No. 56 Inpres Kampung Baru yang meliputi 1) guru enggan untuk mengurus kenaikan pangkat, 2) kurangnya pemahaman guru dalam membuat karya ilmiah, 3) kurangnya pemahaman guru dalam menganalisis data. Solusi atas permasalahan tersebut berupa pelatihan penulisanan karya ilmiah dan analisis data bagi guru SD No. 56 Inpres Kampung Baru, Majene dengan menggunakan metode presentasi, diskusi, demonstrasi, dan praktik. Adapun tahapan pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini, yaitu: 1) tahap persiapan, komunikasi dengan mitra terkait permasalahan-permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh guru, 2) tahap pelaksanaan, dengan memberikan pelatihan penulisan karya ilmiah dan analisis data, serta 3) tahap monitoring dan evaluasi. Pelatihan penyusunan karya ilmiah dan analisis data telah terlaksana dengan baik berdasarkan hasil evaluasi 95,45% peserta mengalami peningkatan kemampuan penulisan karya ilmiah dan 96,1% peserta mengalami peningkatan kemampuan analisis data.
