Abstract

Nowadays Investors often make investment decision irrationally. The decision is often based on their judgment that is far away from rational assumption. When investors face risky situation, there are some objectivities, emotions, and other psychological factors that usually effecttheir decision making. This purpose of study is to examine the effect of experienced regret, risk tolerance, overconfidence and risk perception on investment decision making among lecturers in economics studies in Surabaya. Sample of this study is the lecturers of the economics studies in Universities in Surabaya who are also the investors. This study usedpurposive, convenience and snow-ball sampling method. There are 72 respondents taken from questionnaire by survey method. To test hypotheses, this study employs descriptive analysis and multiple regression analysis. Moreover, by performing multiple regression analysis, this study found that only risk tolerance and risk perception have significant effect on investment decision making, but experienced regret, and overconfidence do not.

Abstract

Nowadays, millennials are at productive age. They are forced to make financial decisions. These decisions require the ability, knowledge, and good financial behavior. This study aims to find out the level of financial capability which is measured by knowledge, skills, and attitude; financial behavior which is measured by practice regarding cash, credit, and saving management, and their effect on financial satisfaction which is measured by subjective assessments of satisfaction of asset, credit, and saving management on millennials in Surabaya, Sidoarjo, Gresik, and Bangkalan regions. Data are obtained through direct and online surveys of 200 millennials using purposive and snowball sampling techniques. The results of this study show that financial capability has a positive effect on financial behavior. The better their financial management ability, the better their financial behavior. Financial behavior has an effect on financial satisfaction and mediates the relation between financial capability and financial satisfaction.

Abstract

Technological developments bring changes in several fields. One of them is marketing. Marketing that used to be done personally, is now starting to develop online. Online marketing is one of the important things to market products. The most widely used use of digital marketing is using TikTok. TikTok is one of the applications with the most number of downloads in 2021. A total of 656 million downloads for the TikTok application. This cyber training activity aims to train people, especially people in the city of Sidoarjo, to be literate in digital marketing. The participants of this cyber training activity were 44 people. The result of this cyber training is that people are more familiar with the TikTok application and how to use it to market their products. In addition, people are more enthusiastic about developing their business because it is easier to reach customers and take advantage of the TikTok application. Through sources who are experts in this field, participants want additional.

Abstract

This research is aimed to analyze the effect of Liquidity, Activity, solvency and profitability on profit growth in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2017-2021 period. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression method. This research uses secondary research by taking the samples used in this study are manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2017-2021 period. By using a purposive sampling technique, 46 companies met the criteria in this study. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that the variable liquidity (CR) has no significant effect on firm value profit growth, Activity (TATO) has no significant effect on profit growth, Solvency (DAR) has a significant negative effect on profit growth, and profitability (ROE) has a significant positive effect on profit growth. Keywords: Liquidity (CR), Activity (TATO), Solvency (DAR), Profitability (ROE), profit growth.

Abstract

In ‘Rusunawa’ (a rented simple flat which belongs to the Surabaya government, at Wonorejo, Rungkut District, Surabaya) there are about thirty MSMEs (Micro-small-medium entrepreneurs) whose market response is relatively low. This is due to the limited number of the target market mostly ranging from those living in ‘rusunawa’ to relatives and friends contacted through social media. The business owners have not accessed to other customers through optimizing social media uses specifically to offer products and manage orders. Based on problem root, it is necessary to give the MSMEs a training to set up and manage simple application such as WhatsApps Business, Google Business, and Instagram. These applications are popular, potentially easy to learn, set, and apply by MSME owners which are household wives. The training, firstly, was not immediately expected to increase sales, rather to increase their digital literacy first. One big obstacle encountered was that household wives who mostly are above forty years old were not familiar with social media. That’s why there were only limited participants actively implementing the training. They have shown good performance in optimizing social media use falling to the areas of making account of WhatsApp Business, intensively upload content in that business application and Instagram. The training has triggered and improved the participants’ digital literacy.

Abstract

Perilaku konsumtif adalah frekuensi kegiatan yang dilakukan dilakukan seseorang dalam mengkonsumsi barang atau jasa secara berlebihan. Gaya hidup adalah suatu kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh seorang individu dalam membeli barang bermerk dan mengikuti trend terbaru. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji pengaruh gaya hidup, financial literacy dan locus of control terhadap perilaku konsumtif. Jumlah responden dari penelitian ini yaitu sebanyak 141 responden yang berasal dari wilayah Kota Surabaya dan Kabupaten Sidoarjo dengan kriteria berusia 18-35 tahun yang telah lulus dari tingkat pendidikan sekolah menengah atas yang sudah memiliki pekerjaan atau seseorang yang sedang melanjutkan studi sarjana dan memiliki pekerjaan. Responden dipilih dengan cara purposive sampling. Dengan teknik analisis dara yang digunakan yaitu Partial Least Square Equation Modelling dengan menggunakan program Warp-PLS 7.0. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa gaya hidup berpengaruh positif signfikan terhadap perilaku konsumtif artinya semakin tinggi gaya hidup individu, maka semakin tinggi perilaku konsumtif seseorang atau sebaliknya, financial literacy dan locus of control tidak berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap perilaku konsumtif.
