Abstract

The enhancement of WHR value which is one of abdominal obesity predictor is usually correlated with the rise of chronic disease risks because its relations with the metabolic syndrome. Dietary intake and energy expenditure factors may have the important role of balance energy that can increase WHR value. The aim of this study is to analyze correlation of energy expenditure, energy and fiber intake with waist hip ratio (WHR) of officers. This cross-sectional study was taken place at PT. Pertamina (Persero) Semarang with consecutive counted 55 sample. Energy and fiber intake was estimated by dietary food record 2 x 24 hour dan Semi-Quantitative Food Frequency Quesionaire. While energy expenditure was counted by using form diary activity. Statistic correlation was calculated by Statistic Package for the Social Science (SPSS) for window. About 70,9% of total subject has abdominal obesity. The prevalence of abdominal obesity is higher in women (81,5%) than men (60,7%). The mean of energy intake is 2402.2 ± 319.68 Kcal. Obese subject has 7,2% higher energy intake than normal subject. About 40% subject has light energy expenditure category and 45,5% subject is belong to moderate energy expenditure category. About 96,4% subject has fiber intake less than 25 gram per day. The result of this study shows that energy intake has association with WHR(r = 0.455 ; p = 0.000). Fiber intake is inversely associated with WHR(r = -0.382 ; p = 0.004). Energy expenditure also has negative association with WHR(r = -0.268 ; p = 0.048). There are significantly correlation of energy expenditure, energy and fiber intake with WHR.

Abstract

Covid-19 pandemic impacts many changes in daily life, either in health, social, economic, and psychological context. People will be most likely to change the way they live their life every day, including in eating and working. This research aims to describe empirically how was the eating pattern and eating behavior on adults who work from home (WFH) during Covid-19 pandemic. Instruments used in this research were The Eating Pattern Questionnaire and The Eating Behavior Questionnaire, adapted from The Adult Eating Behavior Questionnaire (He, Jinbo, et.al., 2019). Total of 338 respondents (age mean = 35,13 years old; 69.8% female) from various professional backgrounds across Indonesia had completed the questionnaires. Results based on descriptive statistical analysis implied most of respondents had experience changes in eating pattern while WFH, such as: more food consumption, increased snack time, less consumption of fruit and vegetables, and less physical exercise. Changes in eating behavior, namely: 1) enjoy meal time more; 2) more excited to try new variants of food; 3) feel more uncomfortable for delayed meal-time; 4) get hungry more easily; and 5) think more about food when not busy. This research sets the foundation for regulation or intervention strategy in healthy eating behavior as a notable indicator for either nutritional and mental health status.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the lecture and audio-visual nutrition education methods on knowledge and attitudes related to stunting prevention in women of childbearing age. This research is true experimental design with One Group Pretest Posttest Design. The sample was 77 female students of the Psychology Study Program, Faculty of Psychology and Health, UIN Walisongo, ranging in age from 18-25 years. The intervention was using nutrition education with combination of lecture and audiovisual methods. Knowledge and attitudes were measured using a questionnaire that has been assessed validity and reliability. Statistic Test was using Paired t-test. There was a significant difference between the average scores of knowledge and attitudes of subjects before the intervention (pretest) and after the intervention (posttest). The maverage score of the subject's knowledge before the intervention was 8.97 (59.8% of the questions were answered correctly) and the maverage score of the subject's knowledge after the intervention was 12.57 (83.8% of the questions were answered correctly). The average score of the subject's attitude before the intervention was 43.2% and 81.1% after the intervention. The conclusion is that there is a significant influence on the average differences of knowledge and attitudes score before and after the intervention. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pendidikan gizi metode ceramah dan audio visual terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap terkait pencegahan stunting pada wanita usia subur. Penelitian dengan desain true experimental dengan rancangan one group pretes-postest design. Sampel adalah mahasiswi perempuan Prodi Psikologi Fakultas Psikologi dan Kesehatan UIN Walisongo sebanyak 77 subyek dengan rentang usia 18-25 tahun. Intervensi berupa pendidikan gizi dengan metode ceramah dan audiovisual. Pengetahuan dan sikap diukur menggunakan kuesioner yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitas. Uji beda dilakukan menggunakan Uji paired t-test. Hasil statistik menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara rerata skor pengetahuan dan sikap subjek sebelum intervensi (pretest) dan setelah intervensi (posttest). Rerata skor pengetahuan subjek sebelum intervensi adalah 8,97 (59,8% pertanyaan dijawab benar) dan rerata skor pengetahuan subjek setelah intervensi adalah 12,57 (83,8% pertanyaan dijawab benar). Rerata skor sikap subjek sebelum intervensi adalah 49,2% dan 81,1% setelah dilakukan intervensi. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh yang bermakna terhadap perbedaan rerata skor pengetahuan dan sikap sebelum dan setelah intervensi.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the difference of obese women’s cholesterol after being given combination of aerobic exercise and nutritional counseling interventions. This pre-experimental study with one group pretest and posttest design was done in Ngadiluwih Village, Matesih Sub-district, Karanganyar District and involved 18 womens who have IMT greather than 25 kg/m2 and selected by purposive sampling technique. The interventions that given to the samples are combinations between 60 minutes aerobic three times a week and nutritional counseling once a week. The data taken were pre-post cholesterol total and analyzed with Wilcoxon test of IBM SPSS Statistics 25 Commuter License. The average of sample’s cholesterol before interventions was 209.56mg / dL while after intervention decreased by 15mg / dL to 194.56mg / dL (p = 0.001). This value indicated that there was a  difference in sample’s cholesterol after interventions. Aerobic exercise three times a week and nutritional counseling once a week can be used as an alternative treatment for hypercholesterolemia in obese women.Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh intervensi berupa  senam aerobik dan konseling gizi terhadap profil kolesterol wanita obesitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimental dengan one group pretest and posttest. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan sampel dengan teknik purposive sampling didapatkan sampel sebanyak 18 orang wanita yang memiliki nilai Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT) di atas 25 kg/m2. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Ngadiluwih, Kecamatan Matesih, Kabupaten Karanganyar. Sampel penelitian diberikan kombinasi intervensi berupa senam aerobik 3 kali seminggu selama 60 menit dan konseling gizi 1 kali seminggu. Data yang diambil adalah profil kolesterol total pretest-posttest dan dianalisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon pada IBM SPSS Statistics 25 Commuter License. Rerata profil kolesterol sampel sebelum intervensi yakni 209,56 mg/dL sedangkan setelah intervensi mengalami penurunan sebesar 15 mg/dL menjadi 194,56 mg/dL (p0,001). Nilai p yang diperoleh (p0,001) tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan profil kolesterol total sampel setelah diberikan kombinasi intervensi. Kombinasi intervensi berupa senam aerobik 3 kali seminggu dan konseling gizi 1 kali seminggu dapat dijadikan alternatif dalam menangani hiperkolesterolemia pada wanita obesitas.

Abstract

Socialization on the prevention of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DBD) in Kebonadem Village on July 20 2024 aims to increase public awareness about the dangers of DBD and steps to prevent it. The main problem faced is the high risk of dengue fever transmission due to population density and community behavior that does not maintain environmental cleanliness, which supports the breeding of the Aedes aegypti mosquito. The urgency of this outreach is very high considering that dengue fever cases often cause Extraordinary Events (KLB) and the fatal impacts they can have. The results of this outreach show a significant increase in public understanding regarding preventive measures such as the application of 3M Plus (Draining, Covering, Burying and Sprinkling abate powder) as well as the early signs of dengue fever. Active participation in discussions and implementing new habits, such as cleaning water reservoirs, indicates the positive impact of this activity. Despite progress, consistency in implementing prevention habits and ongoing support from various parties is still needed to ensure long-term success. Regular evaluations will help assess the effectiveness of the program and reduce the number of dengue cases in the village, making it an example of success in dengue prevention in other communities.

Abstract

The main objective of this kkn activity is to increase the visibility, competitiveness, and revenue of MSMEs through product promotion on social media platforms. The main problem faced by MSMEs is limited knowledge in developing innovative products, which hinders the ability to compete with foreign products. Therefore, the urgency of this project lies in the importance of supporting MSMEs in utilizing digital media to improve their competitiveness. The results of this video creation show significant positive impacts, including increased product visibility, increased sales, and improvements in the packaging process. Not only did the video capture the attention of consumers, but it also helped build closer relationships between producers and consumers through social media. These results confirm the importance of visual content in digital marketing strategies for MSMEs, as well as the need to innovate and develop the brand on an ongoing basis.
