Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan mahasiswa yang mengikuti kuliah Kimia Dasar dalam merepresentasikan konsep-konsep kimia pada keempat level representasi kimia, serta belum tersedianya bahan ajar yang merepresentasikan konsep-konsep kimia pada keempat level representasi, mendorong peneliti untuk mengembangkan modul Kimia Dasar berbasis multipel level representasi kimia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini  adalah : a. Bagaimana desain dan sistematika modul kimia dasar berbasis multipel level representasi kimia pada materi stoikiometri untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa? b. Bagaimana kelayakan modul kimia dasar berbasis multipel level representasi kimia, ditinjau dari validasi ahli?Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan. Model pengembangan mengikuti model Thiagarajan 4-D yang  memiliki 4 tahap utama yaitu Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate.Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan telah dihasilkan Modul Kimia Dasar berbasis Multipel Level Representasi dengan susunan sebagai berikut : cover, petunjuk penggunaan modul, tujuan pembelajaran, Kegiatan Belajar 1 (meliputi materi konsep massa atom, massa atom relatif rata-rata dan massa molekul relatif rata-rata; persamaan reaksi kimia; konsep mol; persen komposisi senyawa; penentuan rumus empiris dan rumus molekul; pereaksi pembatas; dan persen hasil). Pada Kegiatan Belajar 2 materinya meliputi larutan, konsentrasi larutan, pembuatan kelarutan dengan kemolaran tertentu, pengenceran larutan, stoikiometri larutan (analisis gravimetri, titrasi asam-basa). Setiap materi dilengkapi dengan contoh soal, latihan yuk, dan uji kompetensi. Modul dilengkapi dengan gambar yang dapat menjelaskan konsep kimia skala makroskopis pada level mikroskopis dan simbolis, serta interkoneksi antar ketiga level representasi kimia tersebut sehingga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa.Penilaian kelayakan (validasi) modul kimia dasar berbasis multipel level representasi kimia oleh ahli menunjukkan bahwa draft modul dalam kategori sangat baik dan baik sehingga tidak perlu dilakukan revisi.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran berbasis masalah berpendekatan socioscientific issue terhadap sikap peduli lingkungan dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi minyak bumi di MAN 2 Rembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dan menggunakan desain penelitian noneqivalent control group design. Teknik pengumpulan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling, didapatkan dua kelas sampel yaitu kelas eksperimen (XI MIPA 1) dan kelas kontrol (XI MIPA 2). Data penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji perbedaan rata-rata, uji efektivitas variabel, dan uji korelasi antar variabel. Hasil penelitian diperoleh peningkatan rata-rata sikap peduli lingkungan dan hasil belajar kelas ekperimen 43,04 dan 44,74 sedangkan kelas kontrol 26,23 dan 24,38. Uji efektivitas variabel menghasilkan nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 nilai probabilitas 0,05 untuk sikap peduli lingkungan dan nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 nilai probabilitas 0,05 untuk hasil belajar. Uji korelasi antar variabel menghasilkan nilai rxy = 0,617 dan dinyatakan signifikan dengan korelasi cukup kuat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah berpendekatan socioscientific issue efektif digunakan pada pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan sikap peduli lingkungan dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi minyak bumi di MAN 2 Rembang.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang isolasi dan kara- kterisasi asam humat hasil isolasi tanah gambut yang be- rasal dari Desa Sambutan, Kecamatan Samarinda Ilir, Sa- marinda, Kalimantan Timur.Isolasi asam humat dari tanah gambut menggunakan metode ekstraksi alkali,  pemurnian dan penentuan kand- ungan gugus fungsional asam humat secara titrasi poten- siometri.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan gugus fungsional utama asam humat hasil isolasi tanah gambut adalah gu- gus –COOH dan gugus –OH. Secara kuantitatif kandungan gugus fungsional tersebut masing-masing sebesar 426,2 cmol/kg (gugus –COOH), 289,6 cmol/kg (gugus –OH fenolat) dan 37,0 cmol/kg (gugus –OH alkoholat).

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the graduate user assessment (stakeholder response). The method used is through a preliminary survey phase of the alumni database, creating a google form tracer study of stakeholder responses, tracking stakeholder responses, distributing tracer study questionnaires and random stakeholder interviews. The research sample is the 2012-2014 class of chemistry graduate users who have been recorded in a tracer study of aspects of alumni tracking. The results of the study show that the assessment of graduates according to stakeholders is integrity (moral and ethics) very good category (63%), professionalism is good (51%), information technology is good (61%), teamwork is good (aspects) 63%), good personal development aspects (63%), good leadership aspects (80%), good foreign language skills (68%), good communication skills (73%), innovation ability and creativity good category (59%), and motivation in working good category (51%).

Abstract

IMPLICATION OF MINI PROJECT ORGANIC CHEMISTRY EXPERIMENTS FOR IMPROVING ORGANIC CHEMISTRY CONCEPTAbstractOrganic Chemistry Practice is one of the courses in the chemical education department that must be taken by pre-service teacher of chemistry, still lack of mastery of students on organic chemistry concepts, requiring lecturers to be able to design the experiment in such a way so as to increase mastery of the concept of organic chemistry students in Organic Chemistry Practice. This study aims to apply the mini project model to the Organic Chemistry Practice so that it is expected to increase students' mastery of concepts in organic chemistry. The research was conducted using quantitative methods, its measuring conceptual change from the students from N-gain score. The results showed that there was an increase in students' mastery of concepts based on the% N-gain obtained. The majority of students are at a high criterion with% N-Gain> 70. The t test shows the significance of the implementation of the mini project model to increase students' mastery of concept concepts.AbstrakRendahnya penguasaan mahasiswa terhadap konsep-konsep  kimia organik, menuntut pengajar untuk dapat mendesain praktikum sedemikian rupa, sehingga dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep kimia organik mahasiswa pada Praktikum Kimia Organik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan model mini project pada Praktikum Kimia Organik sehingga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep mahasiswa pada materi kimia organik. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode kuantitatif, yakni mengukur hasil tes penguasaan konsep mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan penguasaan konsep mahasiswa berdasarkan hasil %N-Gain yang diperoleh. Mayoritas mahasiswa berada pada kriteria tinggi dengan %N-Gain > dari 70. Uji t menunjukkan signifikansi pelaksanaan model mini project terhadap peningkatan penguasaan konsep mahasiswa.

Abstract

Scientific literacy is an ability that must be had by pre-service teachers. This research aimed to find out the scientific literacy's ability of pre-service teachers in chemistry education. This research was descriptive with quantitative approach. Participants were taken by simple random sampling techniques, the participants are chemistry education students. The data source comes from scientific literacy tests with socio-scientific issues and open-ended question description tests. The validity of the data was tested using a data triangulation technique, in which researchers compare data obtained through test instruments and interview results. The results of the data analysis showed the scientific literacy of chemistry education students was dominant in the nominal and functional categories with a percentage of 33.2% and 24.2%, conceptual and multidimensional categories 13.7%; 4.4%; and 24.5% of students did not give answers the tests.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sajian materi hidrokarbon (kelengkapan materi, akurasi, pemecahan masalah, komunikasi, koneksi, dan penyampaian) pada bahan ajar Textbooks For High School Students Studying The Sciences Chemistry yang diterbitkan oleh FHSST Author Afrika Selatan serta relevansinya dengan kurikulum 2013 untuk SMA Kelas X. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode analisis dokumen (documentary analysis) atau analisis isi (content analysis). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu dokumentasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aspek kelengkapan materi 62,5% (cukup); akurasi 58,3% (kurang); pemecahan masalah sebesar 75% (baik); komunikasi 62,5% (cukup); koneksi (keterkaitan) 50% (kurang); penyampaian (represent) 62,5% (cukup). Adapun relevansi materi hidrokarbon pada Textbooks For High School Students Studying The Sciences Chemistry dengan kurikulum 2013 adalah sebesar 31,2 % (sangat kurang). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat diketahui bahwa materi pokok hidrokarbon pada Textbooks For High School Students Studying The Sciences Chemistry terbitan FHSST Authors dari Afrika Selatan tidak memenuhi dari segi isi materi, relevansi dengan kurikulum, dan pembahasannya belum lengkap untuk pembelajaran di SMA kelas X.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah sungai Simbangkulon sudah tercemar ataupun tidak berdasarkan baku mutu yang dikeluarkan/ditetapkan oleh pemerintah/lembaga yang berwenang. Penentuan stasiun pengamatan pada lokasi penelitian didasarkan pada kegiatan masyarakat di Simbangkulon sebagai pusat pembuangan limbah batik. Hasil analisa parameter fisika dan kimia (suhu, pH dan DO) pada air sungai dibandingkan dengan Kriteria Baku Mutu Air Sungai berdasarkan Surat Keputusan Menteri Negara Kependudukan dan Lingkungan Hidup Nomor: KEP-02/MENKLH/I/1988 Tentang Penetapan Baku Mutu Lingkungan dan Peraturan Pemerintah Republik Indonesia Nomor 82 Tahun 2001 Tentang Pengelolaan Kualitas Air dan Pengendalian Pencemaran Air. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, pH air sungai Simbangkulon antara 6,70 – 6,94 dan DO antara 1,62 – 4,32 mg/L, dan suhu antara 27 – 28 0C yang berarti bahwa kuantitas limbah batik yang dibuang langsung ke sungai Simbangkulon telah mengurangi/mencemari pH dan DO air sungai Simbangkulon, sedangkan suhu belum/tidak tercemar (masih berada pada batas aman yang ditetapkan pemerintah).

Abstract

One of the basics in studying quantitative chemistry is stoichiometry. Thus, skills are needed that can support students in studying stoichiometry. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of students' conceptual understanding, representation, and algorithm skills in stoichiometric material. The subjects in this study were students of the 2019 class D Chemistry study program who had studied stoichiometry in the Basic Chemistry course I. This study was a descriptive study, had a qualitative approach, and used a phenomenological design with research techniques such as tests and interviews. The results showed that the level of students' conceptual understanding ability was 32.5% in the intuitive understanding category, 37.5% in the functional misconception category, 6.25%, in the partial understanding category, 1.25% in the correct incomplete understanding category, and 22. ,5% best understanding category. The level of student representation ability in submicroscopic phenomena was 13.53% and symbolic phenomena was 70.13%. Meanwhile, the level of students' algorithmic ability is in the unstructural category, 3.75% in the multistructural category, 43.75% in the relational category, and 0% in the extend abstract category.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the implementation of various integrations of religious and scientific knowledge in learning activities in Indonesia with the concept of wahdatul 'ulum. Through the search for articles with keywords that match the objectives, 35 articles have been obtained that have concretely carried out research with various wahdatul 'ulum designs. The literature obtained was then analyzed and mapped with NVivo 12 based on the integration process and its implementation in learning activities. The results obtained are that most of the literature adopts the values of Islamic teachings originating from the Qur'an (57%), compared to the adoption of scientific concepts that are in line with the ayah of the Qur'an (43%). In the implementation of learning activities mapped into media, models, and learning assessments. It was found that the development of learning media in the form of modules that applied the concept of wahdatul 'ulum became the most dominating (18 articles). The findings of this study become a discourse for educators to continue to strive to implement wahdatul 'ulum in various components of learning so that there is no longer a dichotomy between religion and science because, in fact, various kinds of knowledge originate from Allah SWT with no contradictions in them
