Abstract

The characteristics of crop-livestock systems is crop yield for food or vegetable, and stover or leaf for ruminant feed, being the manure used as organic fertilizer. Phosphorus (P) is the major plant nutrient and considered one of the primary factors limiting crop yields. Rock phosphate (RP) is one of some organic P fertilizer which could increased its solubility if mixed at the initial phase of manure decomposition process. The objective of the research was to investigate the influence of some kind of organic fertilizer on production and nutrient concentration of okra (Abelmoschus esculentus L) leaf as forage. A field experiment of randomized block design with 9 treatments and three replicates was done, and the treatments were T1 (RP), T2 (azolla compost), T3 (cow manure), T4 (goat manure), T5 (poultry manure), T6 (azolla+RP), T7 (cow manure+RP), T8 (goat manure+RP), T9 (poultry manure+RP). Okra leaf defoliated at 80 days after planting, and continued measured for fresh leaf production, nitrogen and phosphorus concentration. The results showed that the treatment significantly affected to the fresh leaf production, concentration of nitrogen and phosphorus. The result of DMRT showed that fresh leaf production, concentration of N and P significantly higher if fertilized by goat manure+RP (T8) and poultry manure+RP (T9) compared to another treatments. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh pupuk kandang (pukan) “plus” terhadap hasil jagung manis dan kadar mineral jerami pada tiga musim tanaman (MT). Penelitian dengan rancangan acak lengkap, tujuh perlakuan dan empat ulangan selama 70 hari. Perlakuan hanya diberikan pada MT-I yaitu T0 (pukan), T1 (pukan+EM4), T2 (pukan+starTmik), T3 (pukan+stardec), T4 (pukan granular+EM4), T5 (pukan granular+starTmik), and T6 (pukan granular+stardec). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pukan berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap hasil jagung manis. Kadar Ca dan P jerami lebih tinggi dengan pukan diinokulasi biodekomposer dibanding tanpa biodekomposer. Abstract

Alfalfa (Medicago    sativa    L.) as one of legume forage crops for ruminant livestock is very sensitive to the phosphorus deficiency. Phosphorus fertilizers have been used widely to overcome those problem. However, the high cost of superphosphate (SP) is now focusing attention on cheaper rock phosphate (RP) fertilizer. A field experiment was conducted on a latosolic soil (low pH, and low available Bray II extractable P). The objective of the research is to evaluate the effect of phosphorus fertilizer from difference sources on dry matter production, and in    vitro dry matter digestibility of alfalfa. Completely randomized block design with 7 treatments in 3 replicates was used in this field experiment. The treatments were T0 (control), T1 (SP, 100 kg P2O5/ha), T2 (SP, 200 kg P2O5/ha), T3 (SP, 300 kg P2O5/ha), T4 (RP, 100 kg P2O5/ha), T5 (RP, 200 kg P2O5/ha), T6 (RP, 300 kg P2O5/ha). Size of each plot was 2 m x 2 m, and fertilized with P fertilizer (SP, RP) according to the assigned treatment. All plot received basal fertilizer of urea (50 kg N/ha), KCl (100 kg K2O/ha) and poultry manure (2 ton/ha). Medicago    sativa was defoliated on 12 weeks after planting and analyzed for dry matter (DM) production and in    vitro DM digestibility. Result showed that DM production significantly influenced by the treatments. Superphosphate fertilization resulted DM production significantly higher compared to control and RP, except on RP 300 kg P2O5/ha was non-significant difference. In    vitro dry matter digestibility (IVDMD) of alfalfa was not affected by the treatment. There was non-significant difference in IVDMD between the treatments. Therefore, RP (300 kg P2O5/ha) could replace SP to increased DM production and not affected for IVDMD of Medicago    sativa in acid latosolic soil.

Abstract

Manure enriched with rock phosphate (RP) and inoculated with biodecomposer very important to improve the dry land fertility. The objective of the research was to investigate the influence of some kind of manure enriched with RP in granular form and biodecomposer inoculated on sweet corn (Zea mays saccharata) stover nutrient as local forage feed for ruminant. A field experiment of completely randomized design with 7 treatments and four replicates was conducted on vertisol soil. Level of P (RP), N (urea) and K (KCl) fertilizers was 66 kg P/ha, 200 kg N/ha, and 125 kg K/ha, respectively. All of manure application at 30 t/ha, and enriched with RP. The treatments were T0 (manure), T1 (manure+EM4), T2 (manure+starTmik), T3 (manure+stardec), T4 (manure granular+EM4), T5 (manure granular+starTmik), and T6 (manure granular+stardec). The sweet corn was harvested at 70 days after planting, the stover was cut and measured for crude protein (CP), phosphorus (P), and calcium (Ca) concentration. The result showed that the treatment significantly affected to the nutritive value of sweet corn stover. The result of DMRT showed that effect of some kind of manure enriched with RP was not significantly different on CP, P, and Ca concentration of sweet corn stover. Conclusion, manure enriched by RP with or without biodecomposer, in granular or non-granular form, resulted in similar on CP, P, and Ca concentration of sweet corn stover.Keywords: biodecomposer, manure, phosphorus, stover, Zea mays saccharata.

Abstract

Jagung manis (Zea mays saccharata) sensitif terhadap defisiensi nitrogen dan fosfor pada mediatumbuhnya, dan masalah ini dapat diatasi dengan pemanfaatan pupuk kandang (pukan) diperkaya NP-organikyang kemudian disebut sebagai pukan plus. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengkaji pengaruh pukan plusdan pukan organik terhadap hasil jagung manis dan nutrisi jerami sebagai pakan ternak. Penelitian lapangdi Kabupaten Grobogan Jawa Tengah menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok dengan 7 perlakuan dan 4ulangan sebagai kelompok. Dosis pupuk N, P dan K masing-masing 200 kg N/ha, 150 P/ha dan 150kg KO/ha dengan menggunakan ZA, N-lamtoro, P-batuan fosfat dan TSP serta KCl. Pupuk kandang (sapi,kambing, ayam) maupun pukan diperkaya NP-organik masing-masing dengan dosis 20 ton/ha. Perlakuanyang diberikan adalah T1 (ZA+TSP), T2 (pukan sapi+ZA+TSP), T3 (pukan kambing+ZA+TSP), T4 (pukanayam+ZA+TSP), T5 (pukan sapi plus), T6 (pukan kambing plus), T7 (pukan ayam plus). Panen jagungmanis pada umur 70 hari setelah tanam, kemudian tongkol berkelobot maupun tanpa kelobot ditimbang,demikian juga jeraminya dan selanjutnya dianalisis nutrisinya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuanpemupukan yang diberikan nyata berpengaruh terhadap serapan nitrogen tetapi tidak terhadap hasil tongkolmaupun jerami serta serapan P. Hasil uji DMRT menunjukkan bahwa pukan kambing plus dan pukan ayamplus menghasilkan serapan N nyata lebih tinggi dibanding pemupukan ZA+TSP. Disimpulkan bahwa pukanplus (pupuk kandang diperkaya NP-organik) dapat menggantikan pupuk anorganik (ZA, TSP).2Kata kunci : batuan fosfat, jerami, Leucaena leucocephala, pupuk kandang, Zea mays saccharata

Abstract

Efek sisa pupuk kandang diperkaya fosfat alam (FA) bermanfaat untuk musim tanam berikutnya. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh pukan diperkaya FA (pukan) dalam bentuk granular dan di inokulasi biodekomposer terhadap nutrisi jerami jagung manis (Zea mays saccharata) pada musim tanam kedua. Penelitian lapang menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 7 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan pada tanah vertisol. Dosis unsur hara P (FA), N (urea), dan K (KCl) masing-masing 66 kg/ha, 200 kg/ha dan 125 kg K/ha. Dosis pukan 30 t/ha dan semua diperkaya FA. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah T0 (pukan), T1 (pukan+EM4), T2 (pukan+starTmik), T3 (pukan+stardec), T4 (pukan granular+ EM4), T5 (pukan granular+starTmik), T6 (pukan granular+stardec). Panen jagung manis pada umur 70 hari setelah tanam, dan jerami dipotong untuk mendapatkan data kadar protein kasar (PK), fosfor (P) dan kalsium (Ca). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efek residu pukan tanpa biodekomposer (T0) menghasilkan kadar PK jerami jagung manis berbeda tidak nyata dibanding perlakuan lainnya, kecuali pada T4. Efek residu pukan dalam bentuk granular maupun non-granular dengan inokulasi biodekomposer menghasilkan kadar P dan Ca jerami jagung manis nyata lebih tinggi dibanding tanpa biodekomposer. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa efek residu pukan dengan inokulasi biodekomposer mempunyai kemampuan setara dalam menghasilkan kadar PK, namun lebih tinggi kadar P dan Ca jerami jagung manis dibanding pukan tanpa biodekomposer.
