Abstract

BASTANI SEPINDJUNG, FARIDATUL MUKMINAH DAN HENRY ARDIANSYAH.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian limbah lumpur kering kelapa sawit terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman tomat (Solanum lycopersicum L.). Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Oktober 2015 sampai dengan bulan Februari 2016 di desa Sumber Baru,Kecamatan Mesuji Raya,Kabupaten Ogan Komering  Ilir, Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK), Perlakuan adalah persentase lumpur kering dengan tanah dimana terdapat lima perlakuan sebagai berikut ; F1=0%, F2=20%, F3=40%,F4=60% dan F5=80%. Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak lima kali dengan menggunakan tiga tanaman sampel. Pengamatan dimulai sejak dipindahkan ke dalam polybag. Perubahan yang diamati dalam penelitian ini yaitu tinggi tanaman (cm), umur berbunga(hari), berat buah (gram),jumlah buah (butir), dan berat rata-rata buah (gram). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa pemberian limbah lumpur kering kelapa sawit berpengaruh nyata terhadap  tinggi tanaman,umur berbunga,berat buah ,dan jumlah buah tanaman tomat yaitu pada perlakuan F5.Kata kunci : kelapa sawit, limbah lumpur kering.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to find appropriate media formulations for plant propagation of potato in vitro. Research conducted at the Tissue Culture Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Tridinanti Palembang, beginning July 2015 until October 2015.The research design used is Completely Randomized  Design (CRD) arranged in factorial, with 9 (nine) combined treatment and five (5) replications ie: N1A1 = 0.5 ppm NAA + 100 ml/l coconut water, N1A2 = 0.5 ppm NAA + 150 ml/l coconut water, N1A3 = 0.5 ppm NAA + 200 ml/l coconut water, N2A1 = 1 ppm NAA + 100 ml/L coconut water, N2A2 = 1 ppm NAA + 150 ml/l coconut water, N2A3 = 1 ppm NAA + 200 ml/l coconut water, N3A1 = 1.5 ppm NAA +100 ml/l coconut water, N3A2 = 1.5 ppm NAA + 150 ml/l coconut water, and N3A3 = 1.5 ppm NAA + 200 ml/l coconut water. The observation parameter are the time to established buds, shoots high, the time to established roots, number of roots, root length, and the percentage of plantlets life.The results showed that treatment of NAA at a concentration of 1 ppm affected significant on the root length 7.74 cm. Coconut water at a concentration of 100 ml/l significantly affected the established of root ie 9.97 days after planting (dap) and 200 ml/l of coconut water has a significant effect on shoot height 10.27 cm. There was no significant interaction between NAA and coconut water in almost of all parameters were observed, except on the parameter of established roots. NAA at a concentration of 1.5 ppm and 200 ml/l of coconut water has a significant interaction for paremeter time to established roots ie 7.00 dap.

Abstract

This study aims to observe the effect of various types of mulch on the growth and yield of seedless watermelon (Citrullus vulgaris Schard). Implementing research in farmers' fields Scales Village, District Indralaya, Ogan Ilir, with a height ranging from 4-22 m above sea level, from February to April 2012. Research design using randomized block design, consisting of five treatments and five replications. The treatments were P0 = control (without mulch), P1 = use black-silver plastic mulch, P2 = use black plastic mulch, mulch P3 = using reeds as mulch as 0.8 kg of dry weight per m², P4 = use corn stalks mulch 2.6 kg dry weight per m². Parameters observed that the length of plant, days to flowering, fruit diameter, mean fruit weight, fruit weight per plant, fruit weight ha-1 (yield), wet biomass, and weight of wet roots. Black-silver plastic mulch influenced better on the growth and yield of seedless watermelon, compared with the other mulch and can increase the production of fruit namely the fruit weight/plant of 10.15 kg or 20.3 tons ha-1.

Abstract

The aims of this study were to find out how the growth and yield of sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.) responds to the application of bokashi fertilizer and got the best dose of bokashi fertilizer for growth and yield of sorghum. This study was designed using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) experimental method. Giving of bokashi fertilizer with various dosages in sorghum plants can give a good response to the growth and production of sorghum plants. Giving of bokashi fertilizer with a dosage of 15 tons/ha or equivalent to 6.48 kg/plot (P3) resulted better plant growth than other treatments, with an average plant height of 204.94 cm at the age of 56 days after planting (DAP), the number of tillers flat average 5.50 tillers at the age of 28 DAP, fastest flowering age was 55.75 DAP, average wet biomass 1710.25 g/plant, fresh weight cobs in average of 129.06 g/plant, average yield was 1892,50 g/plot, average of weight of 1000 seeds was 12.63 g. Giving of bokashi fertilizer with a dosage of 17.5 tons/ha or equivalent to 7.56 kg/plot (P4) resulted the number of leaves in average of 17.69 at the age of 56 DAP and panicle length average of 40.06 cm. Giving of bokashi fertilizer with a dosage of 10 tons/ha or equivalent to 4.32 kg/plot (P1) resulted the number of panicle branches in average of 46.75 branches.

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan ini untuk melakukan sosialisasi penyuluhan tentang pembuatan dan pelatihan briket arang dari bahan batok kelapa sebagai pengganti energi bahan bakar. Metode yang digunakan yaitu dengan cara memapaparkan mengenai proses pembentukan briket berbahan arang tempurung kelapa menggunakan alat dan bahan yang telah disiapkan. Pelaksanaan pelatihan dimulai dari paparan langsung mengenai proses pembakaran hingga terbentuknya arang tempurung kelapa yang dilanjutkan dengan paparan mengenai pengemasan penjualan agar diminati oleh calon pembeli di pasaran. Hasil kegiatan yaitu Peserta pelatihan telah memperoleh pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang pembuatan briket arang sebagai alternatif bahan energy dimana Briket tempurung arang berhasil dibuat oleh peserta sesuai dengan hasil yang ingin dicapai.
