Abstract

Market  demands  on a more impressive entertainment media have motivated for delivery of three dimensional  (3D) audio content to  home consumers  through Ultra  High  Definition  TV  (UHDTV), the next generation of TV broadcasting, where spatial  audio  coding plays  fundamental role. This paper reviews fundamental concept on spatial audio coding which includes technology, standard, and application. Basic principle of object-based audio reproduction system  will also be elaborated, compared  to  the  traditional channel-based system, to provide good understanding on this popular interactive audio reproduction system which gives end users flexibility to render  their  own preferred  audio composition.Keywords : spatial audio, audio coding, multi-channel audio signals, MPEG standard, object-based audio

Abstract

Regularly monitoring pond water quality in fish farming is a crucial practice often neglected, negatively impacting goldfish yields. Addressing this issue, a sophisticated device leveraging fuzzy logic has been engineered to accurately regulate acidity, temperature, and water levels, with real-time data accessible through the Blynk smartphone application. This innovative system employs a trio of sensors—namely an acidity sensor, a DS18B20 temperature sensor, and an HCSR04 ultrasonic sensor—coupled with three output mechanisms: an inlet pump, an outlet pump, and a heater, to ensure precise control. Rigorous testing under various conditions at different times of the day, lasting approximately one hour each, demonstrated the device's capability to adjust water's acidity by about 0.1 units per minute, reflecting the influences of fish activity and water temperature, with a deficient accuracy error of 0.19%. Additionally, the system's effectiveness in maintaining a consistent water level was confirmed, exhibiting a refill rate of 1.2 cm per minute as detected by the sensor. This integrated system is instrumental in safeguarding goldfish health and optimizing their productivity by ensuring water quality remains within the desired acidity, temperature, and volume parameters.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat merupakan salah satu pilar dalam Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi yang dilaksanakan oleh Kelompok Bidang Keahlian (KBK) Telekomunikasi, Teknik Elektro, Universitas Andalas, sebagai upaya memberikan solusi terhadap permasalahan di masyarakat. Kegiatan ini memanfaatkan teknologi wireless router untuk meningkatkan konektivitas internet di Mushala Al-Mahira, Aie Pacah, Padang. Program ini bertujuan mendukung kegiatan keagamaan dan sosial, seperti kajian daring, pelatihan teknologi untuk anak-anak, dan komunikasi internal pengurus mushala. Artikel ini menguraikan tahapan pelaksanaan program yang meliputi survei awal, instalasi perangkat, pelatihan pengelolaan jaringan, hingga evaluasi dampak. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa teknologi wireless router secara signifikan meningkatkan akses internet, mempermudah penyebaran informasi, dan mendorong produktivitas masyarakat sekitar mushala. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa teknologi dapat menjadi solusi praktis dan berkelanjutan dalam mendukung transformasi digital di komunitas lokal.
