Abstract

Abstract: The Salah Nama island is located in the middle of the Musi River waters, located in Mariana Ilir Village, Banyuasin 1 District, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra Province. The people of Salah Nama Island have UMKM engaged in culinary, animal husbandry and agriculture. The current obstacle that is still being faced is the marketing of UMKM products. Coupled with access to locations that are still quite difficult to reach. Lack of promotion due to lack of marketing strategy is a major problem. Globalization that continues to grow is also marked by the number of existing social media. Today, social media has become the center of public attention that can be used as a means of product marketing. The lack of information and knowledge about the use of the internet and social media in the people of Salah Nama Island is one of the causes of the non-optimal use of existing social media. This service program is carried out with the aim of training the community in using social media so that they can increase the marketing of UMKM products on Salah Nama Island. The method used is by conducting counseling, practical assistance, to discussion. From the stages of service that have been carried out, the community understands how to create social media accounts and understands the use of social media in various aspects, not only as a means of communication. Masyarakat Pulau Salah Nama memiliki UMKM yang bergerak dibidang kuliner, peternakan dan pertanian. Kendala saat ini yang masih dihadapi ialah bidang pemasaran produk UMKM. Ditambah dengan akses lokasi yang masih cukup sulit dijangkau. Kurangnya promosi akibat minimnya strategi pemasaran menjadi permasalahan utama. Globalisasi yang terus berkembang juga ditandai dengan banyaknya media sosial yang ada. Dewasa ini media sosial menjadi pusat perhatian publik yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk menjadi sarana pemasaran produk.  Minimnya informasi dan pengetahuan mengenai penggunaan internet dan media sosial pada masyarakat Pulau Salah Nama menjadi salah satu penyebab belum optimalnya penggunaan  media sosial yang ada. Program pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk melatih  masyarakat dalam menggunaan media sosial sehingga dapat meningkatkan pemasaran produk UMKM di Pulau Salah Nama. Metode yang digunakan yaitu dengan melakukan penyuluhan, pendampingan praktik, hingga diskusi. Dari tahapan pengabdian yang sudah dilaksanakan masyarakat menjadi paham cara pembuatan akun media sosial dan mengerti kegunaan media sosial dalam berbagai aspek tidak hanya sebagai sarana komunikasi. Abstract

Abstrak: Teachers of Palembang 130 Elementary School still use one-way learning patterns where the teacher explains the material in front of the class and only relies on textbooks. Based on the results of interviews and discussions, the ability of SDN 130 Papuan teachers is still lacking. One contributing factor is age, besides the lack of availability of supporting facilities and infrastructure. SDN 130 Palembang teachers are more comfortable using conventional learning methods. They consider that conventional learning methods are easier, less difficult, and assume the material in the book is sufficient. This community service is aimed at providing training to teachers in SDN 130 Palembang in order to make the internet an alternative source of learning. The target to be achieved is to raise the motivation of teachers to recognize the internet as an alternative source of learning. The method used is counseling, direct practice, and discussion. The result of this activity is that teachers are greatly helped in the use of the internet as an alternative source of learning and developing teaching materials. So they don't just use my text as a learning resource. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dan diskusi, kemampuan guru SDN 130 Papua masih kurang. Salah satu faktor penyebabnya adalah usia, selain kurangnya ketersediaan fasilitas dan infrastruktur pendukung. Guru SDN 130 Palembang lebih nyaman menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional. Mereka menganggap bahwa metode pembelajaran konvensional lebih mudah, tidak sulit, dan menganggap materi dalam buku ini sudah cukup. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada guru-guru di SDN 130 Palembang untuk menjadikan internet sebagai sumber belajar alternatif. Sasaran yang ingin dicapai adalah meningkatkan motivasi guru untuk mengenali internet sebagai sumber belajar alternatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah konseling, praktik langsung, dan diskusi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah para guru sangat terbantu dalam penggunaan internet sebagai sumber belajar alternatif dan mengembangkan bahan ajar. Jadi mereka tidak hanya menggunakan teks saya sebagai sumber belajar.Kata kunci: alternatif sumber belajar;  IT; pemanfaatan internet

Abstract

Currently, the technology used for aircraft monitoring is Radar technology. Radar's accuracy is hampered, however, by the fact that while an aircraft is airborne or in flight, it is frequently obscured by clouds, making it difficult to detect the aircraft. Due to constraints in radar technology, Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast technology was developed to improve the performance of air navigation security. Raspberry Pi, RTL-SDR, and LNA were used as the research method in designing the ADS-B signal receiver monitoring system. The 1090 MHz Ground Plane Antenna is preferable because it has a higher gain and a radiation pattern influenced by radial elements, allowing it to collect a considerably broader signal when combined with Raspberry Pi RTL-SDR and LNA. The monitoring results based on the test data are impressive, generating six aircraft simultaneously, indicating that dump 1090 is very effective at translating the aircraft's ADS-B signal data emitted every 0.5 seconds. ICAO, Altitude and Longitude information are clear Based on tests, the aircraft's ADS-B signal was identified between 4,000 and 38,000 feet over the maximum value, causing the signal to disappear and fail to decode the information. The maximum distance measured during the test was 49.7 kilometers from the elevated location where the ADS-B signal monitoring device was installed. The results of the first test were placed 10 meters above the ground. The result is significantly better than the short antenna position. This significantly improves the accuracy of the ADS-B signal monitoring system and the synchronization of information exchange through real-time monitoring.

Abstract

Some administrative procedures in many institutes are still carried out conventionally, which is deemed less efficient and takes much time. On the other hand, communication with other parties requires a process of exchanging information, so a system is needed to confirm the validity of the information. Therefore, a digital letter system that can prove the validity of the information gained through the digital media right from the party concerned is developing. This can be overcome using the authentication method. Adding One Time Password (OTP) as an authentication method that employs one temporary password key can be the solution. This study uses the One Time Password (OTP) method as a validation system and the SHA-512 algorithm as an OTP code generator to generate random codes. This system leverages android technology on mobile to ease access to the correspondence administration system to make it easier to visit with features that prioritize information and access speed. This application is implemented at the State Polytechnic of Sriwijaya to improve the administrative process to run more effectively. The black box testing revealed that all available menus and features were appropriate, and the application already had a system that functions according to user needs. Moreover, in the One Time Password generation test with the SHA-512 algorithm, it was determined that the average response time for generating the OTP code was 4.4 seconds in 15 trials, which can be considered fairly accurate.

Abstract

The processing of coffee before it can be drunk goes through a long process, namely harvesting coffee fruits that have matured either by machine or by hand, then processing coffee fruits and drying before they become spindle coffee. Before the roasting process, the coffee fruit is chosen first to be ripe in order to produce the last result of the best coffee process. After the coffee fruit is selected, the next process is stripping the ripe coffee fruit in order to speed up the post-harvest process of the coffee fruit. Harvesting will also affect the quality and taste of coffee, harvesting is usually done when the coffee fruit that has matured physiologically which is characterized by the color of the fruit skin becomes a red color. At the level of maturity of coffee fruits still occurs not simultaneously so that the harvesting process takes a long time. When the harvest period comes, the separation of coffee fruits is still mostly done manually by picking them in a simultaneous way. This simultaneous separation of coffee fruits makes the mixing of coffee fruits that are still raw, half-ripe, and already ripe, causing poor taste quality, that's why the author got the idea to make a tool that can make the coffee harvesting process simpler and more efficient, namely a coffee fruit separator tool based on maturity level aims to find out how the tool performs in detecting coffee fruits based on maturity levels and how performance from a coffee fruit peeler. This tool can produce separate coffee fruits based on the degree of maturity, namely in the category of ripe, half-ripe and unripe. When coffee fruits that are still not separated between ripe, half-ripe and raw, are placed on the conveyor, the TCS3200 color sensor will detect the coffee fruit according to its color. The coffee fruit will be sorted automatically into a container that has been provided which is controlled by a servo motor that has been pre-programmed by Arduino. After the data from the coffee fruit separator has been read by the sensor, the Arduino will send the data to android via bluetooth connection. Furthermore, red coffee fruits or coffee fruits in the ripe category will proceed to the stripping stage. At the stripping stage, ripe coffee fruits will be peeled on a peeling machine controlled by a servo motor

Abstract

Kualitas udara yang dihirup sehari-hari harus menjadi perhatian untuk dapat mencegah berbagai penyakit akibat pencemaran udara. BMKG merupakan badan negara yang salah satu tugasnya adalah memberikan informasi mengenai kualitas udara kepada masyarakat. Pada saat ini informasi tersebut dapat diakses oleh masyarakat melalui website dan aplikasi Android BMKG. Untuk dapat menyajikan data kualitas udara, maka dibutuhkan sistem jaringan sensor yang mampu membaca kualitas udara dengan akurat. Pada kegiatan pengabdian ini telah disosialisasikan suatu alternatif sistem monitoring kualitas udara yang menggunakan komuniaksi multi-hop berbasis LoRa kepada pihak BMKG Balai Klimatologi Kelas I Palembang selaku mitra. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk berbagi pengetahuan mengenai alternatif alat pemantau kualitas udara kepada mitra. Fitur yang ditawarkan diantaranya kemampuan membaca kualitas udara dari lima parameter yaitu: kandungan karbon dioksida, karbon monoksida, methane, partikulat serta kelembapan udara. Dari kegiatan pengabdian ini dapat diketahui bahwa mitra telah memahami cara kerja alat ini. Selain itu tim pengabdi juga mendapatkan berbagai masukan dari mitra untuk pengembangan alat ini. Dengan biaya pembuatan alat yang relatif murah diharapkan alat ini dapat digunakan oleh mitra sebagai alternatif penyajian informasi kualitas udara kepada masyarakat.

Abstract

Telecommunications have an important role in facilitating communication and information exchange, especially in emergency situations such as natural disasters and unexpected community events. Implementing mobile technology is a promising solution to improve the response and handling of in-kind problems. Mobile technology allows the public to quickly report incidents of disaster or security issues through applications or short message services. The implementation of mobile technology facilitates real-time communication between the community and Babinsa. The public can send reports quickly, convey important information, and share photos or videos as evidence of events. Babinsa, on the other hand, can respond more efficiently to these reports and take necessary actions based on the information received. Apart from that, mobile technology also supports two-way communication between Babinsa and the community. The public can also get the latest information about emergencies, efforts handling, or evacuation via app or direct message notification. Thus, the implementation of mobile technology can make a significant contribution to improving communication, response, and handling of disasters and community events.

Abstract

The importance of conducting weather prediction research is due to the significant influence of weather changes on daily life. The purpose of this study is to apply an optimal machine-learning classification method for weather prediction. The method used is the Gaussian Naïve Bayes model, which has been optimized using Univariate Feature Selection ANOVA-f test and Hyperparameter Tuning GridsearchCV techniques. The data used consists of 6454 daily weather data in Palembang City. There are 5 tests on the Gaussian Naïve Bayes model before and after optimization. The research results show that the optimization of the model successfully improves the performance in weather prediction. The highest accuracy result after optimization reaches 98.33% with 644 test data, an improvement from the pre-optimization accuracy of only 96.95%. Before optimization, the predictions for weather conditions such as sunny, cloudy/rainy, light rain, and heavy rain match the actual data. However, there were 20 prediction errors when dealing with data that should represent very heavy rain conditions. After optimization, the number of prediction errors for the very heavy rain data was reduced to seven.
