Abstract

Hypertension is one of the chronic diseases that many people suffer from in the working area of ??Karangan Health Center. During the pandemic, cadres have a vital role when people are afraid to visit health services, so cadres are expected to be active in overcoming problems experienced by sufferers, including preventing the emergence of complications of Hypertension. This community service activity aimed to increase cadres' knowledge, understanding, and skills to prevent Hypertension complications. This community service method was pre and post-test, counseling, training (training on how to measure blood pressure, training on how to do counseling) to cadres, and distributing tensimeters to cadres. The number of cadres who were targeted in this community service activity was 25 cadres from several villages under the authorization of Puskesmas Karangan. The results of community service based on observation and evaluation were increased knowledge of cadres about Hypertension and its complications, the cadres had skills in measuring blood pressure, understood how to provide information to the community related to Hypertension, understood how to prevent complications with exercise/gymnastic activities. Community service in the form of training and counseling in the Puskesmas Karangan generally brought benefits. Cadres had the motivation to provide information to patients to prevent Hypertension and took blood pressure for patients who could not make visits to the Puskesmas. ABSTRAKPenyakit hipertensi merupakan salah satu penyakit kronis yang banyak diderita oleh masyarakat di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Karangan. Pada masa pandemi kader memiliki peran sangat penting disaat masyarakat takut melakukan kunjungan ke layanan kesehatan, sehingga kader diharapkan aktif untuk berperan dalam mengatasi masalah yang dialami oleh penderita, termasuk dalam mencegah munculnya komplikasi hipertensi. kegiatan pengabmas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, pemahaman dan juga ketrampilan kader dalam upaya pencegahan komplikasi penyakit hipertensi. Metode pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah pre dan post test, penyuluhan, pelatihan (pelatihan cara mengukur tekanan darah, pelatihan cara melakukan penyuluhan) kepada para kader, serta pembagian tensimeter kepada kader. Jumlah kader yang menjadi sasaran dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini 25 kader dari beberapa desa di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Karangan. Hasil dari pengabdian masyarakat berdasarkan observasi dan evaluasi adalah peningkatan pengetahuan kader tentang hipertensi dan komplikasinya, kader memiliki ketrampilan dalam melakukan pengukuran tekanan darah, kader mengetahui cara memberikan informasi pada masyarakat yang berhubungan dengan hipertensi, kader mengetahui cara mencegah komplikasi dengan latihan/aktivitas senam. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa pelatihan dan penyuluhan yang dilakukan di wilayah Puskesmas Karangan secara umum memberikan manfaat pada kader dan masyarakat. Kader memiliki motivasi untuk memberikan informasi pada penderita untuk melakukan pencegahan hipertensi, serta bersedia untuk melakukan pengukuran tekanan darah bagi penderita yang tidak dapat melakukan kunjungan ke puskesmas.

Abstract

This study aimed at finding out college students’ point of view on the use of Google Classroom for Emergency Remote Learning during COVID-19 outbreak. A survey research design was employed by the researcher for this research. The respondents were 209 students of Poltekkes Kemenkes Malang, Indonesia, coming from various departments, namely: nursing, midwifery, occupational health and safety, and blood bank technology. The online questionnaire consisted of 31 items was distributed to the respondents as the research instrument to collect the primary data. Once all the data were collected, then they were explained in descriptive manner, tabulated, and analyzed. The results showed that the students of Poltekkes Kemenkes Malang got positive perspectives on the use of Google Classroom in all aspects during the emergency online learning and only a very small percentage of students (below 10%) showed negative response regarding the use of Google Classroom. According to them, Google Classroom did not help them mastering the English materials and improving their achievement. Based on the findings it can be concluded that Google Classroom for ermergency remote learning gained positive perceptions from the students but there are still few constraints dealing with the use of Google Classroom for emergency remote learning, so the teachers need to evaluate the utilization of this platform to get more benefits and minimize the drawbacks, particularly for ESP context.

Abstract

The use of technology is closely linked to the implementation of digital learning. As one of the profiles of the 21st century teachers, digital tools are notably prominent in helping ESP students improve their learning outcome, particularly during the Emergency Remote Learning (ERL) due to COVID-19.  Kahoot® as one of the technological advancements in the field of game-based learning was considered to be highly beneficial and helpful for ESP students to be more engaged and motivated in improving their English vocabulary through online means. This study presents ESP students’ perceptions of the use of Kahoot® in an internet-based instruction during the pandemic. Survey research was employed with 51 participating students of the Health Promotion Study Program at Poltekkes Kemenkes Malang. The questionnaire was distributed online with 21 survey items designed to accommodate the students’ points of view. The findings show that the students of the Health Promotion Department had a strong preference to the use of Kahoot® in improving their English vocabulary during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Abstract

Abstrak: Deteksi dini dan stimulasi tumbuh kembang anak merupakan tindakan yang sangat penting untuk dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mendeteksi secara dini adanya penyimpangan tumbuh kembang balita termasuk menindaklanjuti setiap keluhan orang tua terhadap masalah tumbuh kembang anaknya. Kegiatan stimulasi, deteksi dan intervensi dini tumbuh kembang anak dilakukan dalam bentuk kemitraan antara keluarga, masyarakat dengan tenaga profesional. lndikator keberhasilan pembinaan tumbuh kembang anak tidak hanya meningkatnya status kesehatan dan gizi anak tetapi juga mental, emosional, sosial dan kemandirian anak berkembang secara optimal. Metode pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah penyuluhan kepada guru dan orang tua anak prasekolah, pelatihan (stimulasi, deteksi dan intervensi dini tumbuh kembang anak) kepada para guru TK. Jumlah guru dan orang tua yang berpartisipasi berjumlah 30 orang, yaitu guru dan orang tua di TK Dharma Wanita 2 Kedungsigit Karangan Kabupaten Trenggalek. Hasil dari pengabdian masyarakat adalah peningkatan pengetahuan guru tentang cara melakukan skrining tumbuh kembang anak, dan peningkatan kemampuan psikomotor/ketrampilan dalam melakukan stimulasi dan deteksi dini tumbuh kembang anak usia prasekolah. Guru memiliki motivasi untuk melakukan deteksi dini dan stimulasi tumbuh kembang anak melalui permainan yang menyenangkan dan disukai oleh anak   Abstract: Early detection of developmental deviations has to be conducted to detect early developmental deviations in toddlers, including following up on any complaints from parents about their child's growth and development problems. The comprehensive and coordinated stimulation activities, early detection, and intervention of developmental deviations under five are in the form of partnerships between families, communities, and professionals. The indicators of the success of fostering children's growth and development are increasing children's health and nutritional status and developing children's mental, emotional, social, and independent optimally. The method of community service was counseling to teachers and parents of preschool children and training (screening for early detection of growth and development, as well as stimulation of child development) to kindergarten teachers. The number of teachers and parents who participated was thirty. Based on observations and evaluations, the results showed an increase in teachers' knowledge about how to detect children's growth and development, and an increase in psychomotor abilities/skills in stimulating and detecting early growth and development of children. As the result, the teachers had the motivation to carry out early detection and stimulation of children's growth and development through fun and interesting games.

Abstract

Saat ini, proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan di kelas dituntut untuk bisa membantu mahasiswa mengembangkan kemampuan mahasiswa di abad 21 yaitu memiliki kemampuan berkolaborasi, berpikir kreatif, berkomunikasi, dan berpikir kritis. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang bisa diterapkan yaitu Project-Based Learning (PjBL). Model ini bersifat students-centered learning dan efektif meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam ranah High Order Thinking Skill (HOTS). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa jauh persepsi mahasiswa terhadap penggunaan model pembelajaran Project-Based Learning berupa social media video pada mata kuliah Pendidikan Budaya Anti Korupsi (PBAK) mahasiswa Jurusan Keperawatan, Poltekkes Kemenkes Malang. Jumlah partisipan penelitian ini adalah 81 mahasiswa Tingkat 1 di kelas A dan B Tahun Akademik 2022/2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan mix-method dengan data berupa kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Online survey dan written interview digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data penelitian yang kemudian akan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil survey menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa memiliki persepsi yang positif dan pengalaman belajar yang menyenangkan terhadap penerapan PjBLdi masa post-pandemic. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa PjBL bisa menjadi salah satu alternatif solusi dalam proses pembelajaran yang lebih efektif di Pendidikan Tinggi Vokasi Kesehatan, terutama di masa post-pandemic.

Abstract

Students' 21st-century talents, including their English language skills, must be cultivated in this increasingly globalized period. According to previous studies, this application is one of the finest approaches for English education. It is also popular for facilitating successful English learning, however, research on the usage of Tik Tok in the context of ESP, notably in English for Midwifery courses, is still lacking. The purpose of this study was to determine students' perceptions of utilizing Tik Tok for English learning in the post-pandemic era. This study included 61 students from the Midwifery Department at Poltekkes Kemenkes Malang during the academic year of 2022/2023. To collect data, online questionnaires and written interviews were provided to the students. The findings revealed that the students had a favorable attitude toward using Tik Tok to learn English.  This study examined students' perspectives on Tik Tok in English language acquisition in the context of ESP, specifically English for Midwifery. It is also suggested that Tik Tok be used as a learning media because it has been shown to be useful in assisting students in getting the chunk of learning objectives that positively impact their English skills, particularly in the ESP environment.

Abstract

Implementation of the Student Pancasila Profile Strengthening Project (P5) was to instill independent, creative, and cooperation character values in 4 kindergartens of Kediri City. This research aims to analyze the implementation of the Project (P5) including design, and management of P5. This research used a descriptive qualitative method at 4 kindergartens of Kediri City in 2022. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, and documentation. The data was analyzed using an interactive technique, including data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. The results of the study showed that 1) the design of P5 consists of forming a team, identifying school readiness, determining the dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile character to be strengthened, determining the theme, planning the timeline, flow, assessment, and module creation; 2) the management of P5 includes provocation and contextualization, P5 actions, and celebrating learning outcomes. P5 consist of strengthening character and continuing good habits at kindergartens. Through P5 actions, students must continue to be developed so that the cultivation of independent, creative, and cooperation character values can run optimally.

Abstract

The pandemic situation in the last two years has forced us to move almost all activities online, including our teaching and learning activities. This creates challenges for teachers to discover suitable techniques or media to motivate students to keep being active in online class interaction. One of the possible media that can be used is songs; a media which is already popular among the youths. This paper presented a data survey towards 107 female students aged 19-20 years old from one of the midwifery academies situated in Central Java, Indonesia. This study used an online questionnaire form. There were 18 items in the questionnaire and the data consisted of demographic data and students’ perception towards the use of songs for improving their skills in English. The data were presented in the percentage data and analyzed using descriptive explanation. The result showed that the students’ perception on songs as media for English online learning achieved positive perception on all items. Referring to this finding, teachers can consider using songs for English online learning in order to create an attractive and interactive online learning process.
