Abstract

This study explains about the impact of China's environmental security policy on Mongolia's political economy in 2013-2015. Mongolia is a rich country in mineral resources, especially coal. The biggest coal export partner for Mongolia is China. The economy of Mongolia is highly dependent on the value of China’s coal demand. China is experiencing serious environmental crisis problems so that the Chinese Government strives to make environmental issues its priority. The author obtains data from journals, books, articles, theses, reports, internet and online media to analyze this research. The theoretical framework that I use in this study is strukturalisme perspective, depedency theory from Theotonio Dos Santos, nation-state analysis unit and the concept of national interest by Nuchterlain. This research shows that environmental security policies in China are carried out by reducing imports and coal consumption in an effort to overcome environmental problems caused by coal in China. China also seeks to replace fossil energy sources by increasing the use of renewable energy such as wind, nuclear, water and geothermal energy. The impact of the implementation of this policy resulted in China reducing the value of coal  demand, which affected the political economy of Mongolia, which was heavily dependent on coal. Keywords: Policy, Environment, Coal, Economy, Politics, Export

Abstract

An information system is used to manage and present data so that it benefits an organization. Effective financial management is crucial for government agencies, including the Medan City Transportation Department, to ensure transparency and accuracy in financial records. However, the manual method still used has weaknesses, such as recording errors and reporting delays. Therefore, this study aims to design and develop a web-based financial information system to address these issues. The system features transaction recording, financial reporting, real-time data processing, and more efficient budget management. This study uses the waterfall software development approach, which includes analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The results show that this system can improve work efficiency, reduce errors in financial management, and support data-driven decision-making.

Abstract

This study aims to observe and analyze the seismonastic movement responses of the Mimosa pudica (Mimosa pudica) in a pair of leaflets and a leaf stalk, as well as their relationship to morphological structures such as the base of the leaf stem, leaf branches, and the stem as a whole. The movement response was assessed by observing the time it takes for the leaf to close after being stimulated and the time it takes to reopen. The method used was direct observation with documentation in the form of photographs of each plant part: a pair of leaflets, leaf branches, the main stem, and the base of the leaf stem. The study was conducted under natural light conditions without additional artificial stimuli other than light touch. The results showed that leaf closure occurred rapidly, averaging between 1–3 seconds after the touch stimulus, while the reopening time varied between 10–25 minutes depending on the leaf part stimulated. The pair of leaflets showed the fastest response in closing, while the main stem did not exhibit seismonastic movements but acted as a relay for the movement impulse. Visual documentation supported the observations by demonstrating differences in sensitivity levels between plant parts. This study strengthens the understanding of plant defense mechanisms against external stimuli and the important role of leaf structure in response to stimuli.

Abstract

Technological developments in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4. 0 and Society 5. 0 has created a major change in the education sector, including through the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a learning tool. This study aims to examine the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the teaching of Social Sciences (IPS) which focuses on metacognition and observes its role in improving students' critical, reflective, and independent thinking skills. This study adopts a descriptive qualitative approach with literature study methods from various scientific journals, books, and related academic documents. The findings of the study show that AI is able to provide fast access to information, tailored learning, and useful feedback to increase the effectiveness of the learning process. In social studies teaching, AI helps students understand diverse social phenomena in a broader and deeper way. However, the optimal use of AI requires the support of metacognitive abilities so that students can plan, monitor, and evaluate their own learning processes. The incorporation of AI and metacognition not only improves material comprehension, but also hone critical thinking skills, creativity, problem-solving skills, digital literacy, and independence in learning. Therefore, the application of AI in social studies teaching based on metacognition can be one of the innovative approaches to support the development of competencies in the 21st century and improve the quality of education in the digital era.

Abstract

The professional standards of 21st-century elementary education mandate that pre-service teachers possess comprehensive teaching skills integrated with instructional technology. However, conventional microteaching methods often focus narrowly on mechanical lesson plans, causing high procedural anxiety and limited technological adaptability among students. This study aimed to comprehensively investigate the enhancement of pre-service teachers' teaching competence by implementing Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) learning combined with metacognitive strategies. Employing a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design based on the reflective spiral framework of Kemmis and McTaggart, the research was systematically executed across two consecutive cycles. The subjects comprised elementary school teacher education (PGSD) students enrolled in the mandatory Microteaching course at Universitas Pahlawan Tuanku Tambusai. Empirical data were meticulously gathered using professional basic teaching skills observation sheets, student-constructed TPACK instructional designs, and structured metacognitive self-reflection journals, which were subsequently analyzed via comparative descriptive techniques. The baseline diagnostic evaluation (pre-cycle) revealed that only 20.00% of the students demonstrated acceptable teaching proficiency, primarily due to rigid instructional delivery and an inability to blend technological platforms with content pedagogy. Following the integration of the intervention in Cycle I, teaching competency significantly escalated to 75.00%. Ultimately, in Cycle II, the classical success reached 100.00%, with all students demonstrating exemplary pedagogical performance and high autonomy in executing technology-driven instruction. The application of metacognitive strategies through self-reflection journals empowered students to actively diagnose instructional shortcomings, regulate performance anxieties, and self-correct during peer simulations. This study highly recommends LPTKs to formally embed systematic TPACK-metacognitive frameworks and reflective self-assessment protocols within teacher preparation curriculums to optimize professional educator efficacy.
