Abstract

Test form that is given to students allegedly related to cognitive ability. Therefore, conducted aimed research at investigating the effect on cognitive abilities test form students of class XI science SMAN 4 Banjarmasin in subject work and energy. The specific objective of this study are to describe (1) the cognitive abilities of students in the experimental class I drilled essays, (2) cognitive abilities of students in the experimental class II drilled multiple choice, (3) find out whether or not the influence of the use of the test form essay and multiple choice on students cognitive abilities. The study population was all students totaling 104 students with a sample of 57 students. Techniques of data collection through interviews and achievement test. This type of research using quasi-experimental study with the method of analysis used includes validity testing, reliability testing, difficulty level testing, different power testing, requirements analysis testing and ANOVA test (F-test). The results of research that: (1) the cognitive abilities of students in the experimental class I drilled essay mean 60.5912, (2) the cognitive abilities of students in the experimental class II drilled multiple choice means 62.6696, (3) there is the effect of using the form of essays and multiple choice tests to students cognitive abilities. Fratio = 4.6999 > F1:112 = 3.93. Be concluded that there is the effect of the test form to cognitive abilities students.

Abstract

Rendahnya aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa dikarenakan pembelajaran yang berlangsung selama ini tidak menggunakan pembelajaran berbasis konstruktivisme, oleh karena itu dilakukan penelitian yang  bertujuan meningkatkatkan hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif dengan pendekatan problem posing pada materi ajar tekanan. Penelitian ini  merupakan  penelitian tindakan kelas  model Kurt Lewin meliputi: permasalahan,  perencanaan tindakan, pelaksaan tindakan, pengumpulan data, dan  refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa test, observasi, angket, dan  dokumentasi. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif  kuantitatif  dan  kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) keterelaksanaan RPP  pada kegiatan pendahuluan, inti dan penutup  pada siklus I sebesar  89,20% , siklus  II 93,7%,  dan siklus  III 94,5%, (2) aktivitas siswa meliputi aktivitas menyumbangkan ide, menjadi pendengar yang baik, mau bekerjasama, dan mau bertanya secara umum pada siklus I berkriteria baik, siklus II dan III  berkriteria baik sekali, (3) Hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I, II dan  III  berturut-turut adalah 58,6% (tidak tuntas),  75,0% (tuntas) dan  90,0%  (tuntas) (4)  respon siswa terhadap cara guru mengajar dan  materi pembelajaran cukup baik. Diperoleh simpulan bahwa penerapan model  kooperatif dengan pendekatan problem posing pada materi ajar tekanan di kelas VIII-F SMPN 11 Banjarmasin efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar  dan aktivitas siswa.

Abstract

LKS at schools still contained the materials and exercises without learning media have been caused the low ability of students in critical thinking skills. Therefore, carried out a research that aims to produce LKS and learning media of inquiry based on critical thinking skills of junior high school students on the subject of pressure effectively. The research spesific objectives are to describe the feasibility of LKS and learning media, critical thinking skills of students, and the response of students towards LKS and learning media. This research is ASSURE model development. The subjects were 30 students of class VIII-C SMP Negeri 1 Banjarmasin. The data were analyzed by descriptive quantitative and qualitative. Findings were obtained: (1) LKS which developed satisfied feasibility about approach content, presentation instruction, presentation of content, appropriateness of content, and performance of physic, (2) learning media which developed satisfied feasibility about benefits, presentation, and use of media props, (3) critical thinking skills of students categorized as good, (4) the students  response of interests and attitudes towards LKS categorized as good, (5) the students response of interests and attitudes towards learning media categorized as very good. Retrieved conclusion that LKS and learning media of inquiry based on critical thinking skills of students who produced effectively.

Abstract

Low activity of students during the learning is caused by lack of instructional media. It is necessary to develop an insctructional media which is fun to make students active and motivated. The purpose of this research is to produce playing cards and handout which are proper for learning model type make a match to train students activity during the learning. This study is a research and development that used ADDIE (analysis, design, develop, implement, evaluate) as a development model. The subject of this research is students at seventh grade of SMPN 24 Banjarmasin. The instrument of collecting data are the sheet of validity media, activity assessment instrument, and questionnaire responses. The result of this research shows that (1) the playing cards developed is valid used as instructional media for learning model type make a match by a little revision, (2) handout which is developed is valid used as instructional media by a little revision, (3) the average of students activity in every meeting include visual, verbal, motor and emotional aspect give activity level of very active, (4) students give excellent response to the quality aspects of media, the influences of media and studying acting and also a good respons to the material.

Abstract

Improve learning achievement of students grade VIII D SMPN 1 Amuntai through Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating and Transferring (REACT) model. Application of the talking method in learning activities cause students weren’t active and it result to the low of students learning achievement. This condition needs a classroom action research to improve students learning achievement through Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating and Transferring (REACT). The aim of this research is describe way to improve students learning achievement through REACT model. The specific aims are describe: (1) lesson plan feasibility, (2) students learning achievement and (3) students activities. This classroom action research use Hopkins model that consist of 2 cycles. Data were collected by observation, test and documentation. Then data were analyzed by descriptive qualitative and descriptive quantitative. This research show that: (1) lesson plan feasibility in relating included good, experiencing included good, applying included good, cooperating included good and transferring included good; (2) students learning achievement were improve from 65,00% or didn’t completed classical achievement in cycle I to 77,27% in cycle II or completed classical achievement; and (3) students activity contain questioning, propose argument/answered teacher’s questions, listen teacher’s explain and discuss task severally included good. It can be concluded that learning achievement of students grade VIII D SMPN 1 Amuntai can improve though REACT model with link a new concept to something completely familiar to students, guide students discover concept through laboratory activity, help students answered application and analysis question on worksheet, guide students to discuss in group and guide students to use their knowledge in a new context and also make students active in learning activities.

Abstract

Keterampilan proses sains siswa masih jarang dilatihkan terutama dalam menganalisis sampai dengan menarik kesimpulan dalam menemukan konsep atau fakta/informasi yang diperoleh melalui percobaan penemuan selama proses pembelajaran berlangsungdan hasil belajar siswa masih di bawah kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM). Tujuan menerapkan model penemuan terbimbing dalam penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan cara meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Tujuan khusus penelitian adalah untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) keterlaksanaan RPP, (2) pencapaian keterampilan proses sains siswa, (3) pencapaian hasil belajar produk siswa. Jenis penelitian adalah PTK model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart terdiri dari 2 siklus. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas VII B SMP Negeri 27 Banjarmasin. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) keterlaksanaan RPP model pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing siklus I dan sikus II terlaksana dengan baik, (2) pencapaian keterampilan proses sains siswa pada siklus I dan siklus II mengalami peningkatan, (3) ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa secara klasikal pada materi pokok kalor dari siklus I sampai dengan siklus II mengalami peningkatan. Diperoleh simpulan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing pada materi pokok kalor dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas VII B SMP Negeri 27 Banjarmasin.

Abstract

The low of student learning outcomes because students are less active during learning, that’s why the need conduct research that aims to improve student learning outcomes. This study describes (1) lesson plan, (2) learning outcomes, (3) social skills. This research is classroom action research hopkins model that includes planning, implementation, observation and reflection as much as 3 cycles. Data collection techniques such as observation, testing, and documents. Data analysis of quantitative and qualitative descriptive. The results showed that (1) the percentage of first cycle lesson plan (RPP) implementation is 80,00%, 91,33% in second cycle and third cycle is 97,33%, (2) mastery learning outcomes of students has increased from first cycle 51,61% , 77,43% in the second cycle, and to 87.04% in the third cycle, (3) the student's social skills in the first cycle of 96,97% with very good category, II 97,86% with very good category, and 97,86% in the third cycle with very good category, Retrieved conclusion that cooperative learning  model TAI type can improve student learning outcomes with focusing in drill to students can increase creavity and students social skill with give a motivation and guidance to student which has a problem on study class.
