Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: the effect of using the google classroom application on student learning outcomes. In Indonesia, distance or online learning begins on March 16, 2020, where children start learning from their own homes without the need to go to school. Choosing the right application will affect students' interest in learning (Wulandari, 2016), which is usually done by giving assignments personally to students which tends to reduce student interest in learning. The learning process through Google Classroom is very easy to do.Various conveniences are indeed presented by today's technological advances that support the realization of more effective learning. In this study, the researchers focused on the use of google classroom learning media. The use of the google classroom application at this school is used as a medium in carrying out learning. The research method used is descriptive quantitative method. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The results of this study prove that there is an effect of google classroom on student learning outcomes, this is evidenced by the results of the paired sample test showing that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted which shows that there are differences between pretest and posttest before and after using the google classroom application which shows that by using the google classroom application student learning outcomes can be increased.

Abstract

This research investigates the impact of school infrastructure quality and economic factors on the academic achievement of high school students in Central Java through a survey-based quantitative analysis. A diverse sample of 200 participants, including students, teachers, and parents/guardians, provided insights into demographic characteristics, perceptions of school infrastructure, economic conditions, and academic performance. Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) was employed to analyze the data. Results indicate positive perceptions of classrooms and laboratories, moderate economic conditions, and varied academic achievements within the sample. The measurement model confirmed the validity and reliability of constructs, while the structural model revealed significant positive relationships between school infrastructure quality, economic factors, and academic achievement. The findings have implications for educational policies, emphasizing the importance of targeted interventions to enhance the overall educational experience in East Java.

Abstract

Penggunaan teknologi digital dalam mendukung aktivitas akademik semakin penting, terutama dalam hal manajemen referensi dan penyusunan daftar pustaka. Namun, literasi digital yang rendah di beberapa kalangan menjadi hambatan dalam adopsi teknologi baru. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta di Sulawesi Utara dalam memanfaatkan aplikasi Mendeley untuk manajemen referensi dan penyusunan daftar pustaka. Pelatihan ini dilakukan secara daring melalui aplikasi Zoom pada 26 November 2024 dengan metode partisipatif yang mencakup penyampaian materi, demonstrasi, praktik langsung, dan evaluasi. Sebanyak 32 peserta dari berbagai latar belakang mengikuti kegiatan ini. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta mengenai penggunaan Mendeley, dengan 90% peserta merasa terbantu dalam mengelola referensi dan menyusun daftar pustaka secara otomatis. Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif dalam mendukung kualitas penulisan ilmiah, terutama di kalangan mahasiswa, dosen, dan peneliti. Kesimpulan menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan ini efektif dalam menjawab kebutuhan literasi digital peserta, serta mendorong penggunaan teknologi dalam aktivitas akademik. Pentingnya kegiatan ini terletak pada upaya meningkatkan efisiensi dan akurasi dalam manajemen referensi, yang berkontribusi pada profesionalisme dalam penulisan ilmiah.
