Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the condition of BMT, is an Islamic microfinance institution in Indonesia, based on a literature review using SWOT analysis. Based on the SWOT analysis BMT’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats will be mapped through four types of strategies, namely aggressive, competitive, conservative and defensive strategies. The results indicate that based on the analysis of aggressive strategies, BMT is a community-based agency that has an opportunity to capture the market; BMT can use the ZISWAF fund in cooperation with charity institutions. Based on the analysis of competitive strategies, BMT competition with conventional micro institutions can be solved by Islamic economic socialization about the prohibition of usury; competition with Islamic banks that have a microfinance program can be solved with the distribution of business; BMT sustainability issues can be overcome by strengthening the regulation, supervision, infrastructure, human resources, and capital. From the conservative strategies, BMT has limitations in terms of capital, human resources, and marketing strategies. This problem can be overcome through their linkage with Islamic Banks and companies, using CSR and low-cost funds from Islamic Banks. Other opportunities are the transfer of knowledge about finance, managerial expertise, as well as the right marketing strategy. In addition, a lack of oversight in BMT can be solved by maximizing the role of associations and agents of BMT. Meanwhile, from the defensive strategies, fundamental reform of government is required to develop BMT’s rules, oversight, feasibility measurement and clear level of health.

Abstract

Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) as Financial Services Authority (FSA) in 2015, issued new regulations regarding the administration of the Remuneration Governance for Banks. With this rule, the remuneration policy applied by the Bank to Employees, Directors and Commissioners should be adjusted to follow the rules and principles set out in POJK No.45 /POJK.03/2015. Issuance of this Regulation as part of the implementation of Basel II, particularly Pillar 3 (Market Discipline), which the Bank is required to disclose information that is more transparent to the public and market participants, particularly related to remuneration to encourage discipline and allow the stakeholders to give a fair assessment. Failure to follow these rules can result in a downgrade of the factors of good corporate governance of the Bank concerned. Implementation of POJK 45 starts per 1 January 2016 for Commercial Bank Operations Group (BUKU) 3 and 4 as well as foreign banks. This study aimed to analyze the implementation of POJK 45/2015 on the financial performance of banking in Indonesia. The data which are used in this study were obtained from the Indonesian Banking Directory quarterly and look at the first kuartal of 2016 only. Samples were selected by purposive sampling method and finally obtained 27 banking companies that fulfill the criteria. Data were analyzed using financial ratios that LDR, ROA and CAR then described using qualitative description method. The results showed that the implementation of POJK 45 gives the significant positive effects on the bank performance in Indonesia.

Abstract

Advances in technology and information have made zakat, infaq, and alms managers innovate and collabo-rate with various digital platforms in Indonesia which aim to facilitate the distribution of zakat, infaq, and alms (ZIS). This research was conducted to find out and analyze the variables of convenience, expediency, and trust that influence consumers' decisions in using digital platforms to pay zakat, infaq, and alms. The sample used in this study was 155 respondents who were domiciled in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tange-rang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) regions. In the selection of samples, this study used purposive sampling techniques and data processing was carried out using the IBM Version 26.0 Statistical Package for the So-cial Sciens (SPSS) application. The results showed that all independent variables, namely convenience, expediency, and trust have an influence both partially and simultaneously on consumers' decisions to use digital platforms as a means of paying zakat, infaq, and alms. The easier it is to use, the benefits are felt, and consumer trust in digital platforms when paying for ZIS using digital platforms can increase consum-ers' decision to use digital platforms as a means of paying for ZIS.

Abstract

MSMEs under the auspices of the Smart and Energetic Mothers Community (KECE) in Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, are made up of female traders whose business areas range from culinary to laundry, sewing, and other herbs. Because their monthly turnover is still less than Rp5.000.000,00, the KECE community may be classified as a microbusiness. According to a prior poll of community members, one of the members' issues was a lack of awareness about fundamental company finance management. The approach employed is the assistance activity for identifying the foundation for calculating the cost of production, determining selling prices, and generating basic financial reports for MSMEs, which is carried out in two phases online in December 2021 and June 2022, based on the current difficulties. Submission of material is done interactively, as are interactions with members of the community. According to an online survey of participants, people thought the content delivered was extremely engaging, easy to comprehend, and useful to organizations. ABSTRAK UMKM dibawah naungan Komunitas Emak Cekatan dan Enerjik (KECE) Kramat Jati Jakarta Timur beranggotakan para ibu-ibu pedagang yang bidang usahanya bervariasi antara lain kuliner, jasa laundry, jasa jahit, aneka herbal, jamu dll. Komunitas KECE dapat dikategorikan usaha mikro karena omset setiap bulannya masih di bawah Rp5.000.000,00. Berdasarkan survey sebelumnya pada anggota komunitas diketahui salah satu permasalahan anggota adalah minimnya pengetahuan mengenai pengelolaan keuangan dasar usaha. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang ada, metode yang dilakukan adalah kegiatan pendampingan Penentuan Dasar Perhitungan Harga Pokok Produksi (HPP) dan Penetapan Harga Jual serta Pembuatan Laporan Keuangan Sederhana bagi UMKM yang dilakukan dua tahap secara online pada Desember 2021 dan Juni 2022. Penyampaian materi dilakukan secara interaktif dan diskusi dengan anggota komunitas. Berdasarkan survey online yang dilakukan pada peserta diperoleh informasi bahwa peserta merasa materi yang disampaikan cukup menarik dan mudah dipahami dan dapat diterapkan pada usaha. Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship and the extent of the influence of product knowledge, promotion, and reputation on the intention to use Islamic banking products following the merger of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI). The study employs a quantitative approach, using questionnaires and multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The population consists of both customers and non-customers of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), with a sample of 125 respondents from the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) area. The findings indicate that the three variables—product knowledge, promotion, and reputation—positively influence the intention to use Islamic banking products, whether tested individually or collectively. Among the three independent variables, promotion has the greatest influence, followed by product knowledge and reputation. These results are expected to inform the management of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) in making decisions aimed at increasing its customer base and to serve as a reference for future research.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss what influences influence purchasing decisions on halal products of foreign-owned fast food restaurants. The independent variables obtained from the preliminary survey results are Price Perception, Location, Brand Image and Halal Certification. While the dependent variable obtained is the purchase decision. Methods of data analysis using Variance Based Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (PLS). The population is residents living in South Jakarta, with a sample of 200 respondents. The sampling technique uses convenience sampling. By using a quantitative descriptive approach. The results of this study indicate that Price Perception has a significant positive effect on purchasing decisions, Location has a significant positive effect on purchasing decisions, Brand Image has a significant positive effect on purchasing decisions and Halal Certification has a significant positive effect on purchasing decisions.

Abstract

The younger generation represents the future of the nation. They demonstrate considerable potential for growth and development. One such area of focus is the enhancement of financial literacy, particularly among younger demographics, which has the potential to foster a more financially aware and stable society. The youth organization Bambu Larangan Ampera is comprised of young people who act as both catalysts and role models for their peers. Most of these individuals adhere to the Syariahc faith; however, they demonstrate a lack of comprehension regarding financial planning, particularly in the context of Sharia-compliant financial planning. This is a significant consideration, as it can be a crucial element in financial planning, both in the short and long term. Accordingly, a needs assessment was conducted as part of the community service programme, which identified a need to enhance comprehension of sharia financial planning. The training was implemented by providing relevant materials and opportunities for hands-on practice. The effectiveness of the training was evaluated through the administration of pre-test and post-test questionnaires to each participant. The results demonstrated an average increase in each indicator of understanding of Perencanaan Keuangan Syariah, indicating that the training was successful. However, there is still a need to improve the financial literacy of the younger generation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and determine the magnitude of the effect of product knowledge, religiosity, and service quality on the intention to use the product of the sharia synergy knot blessing cooperative product. The method used in this research is quantitative with the distribution of questionnaires followed by data analysis. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis test, f test and t test. The sample in this study were members who used the product of the sharia blessing node cooperative with a total of 100 respondents. The results of this study indicate that partially product knowledge and religiosity have no effect on the intention to use the sharia blessing knot cooperative product, and the quality of service affects the intention to use the sharia blessing node cooperative product. Simultaneously, product knowledge, religiosity, and service quality together have a significant effect on the intention to use the sharia blessing knot cooperative product. The results of the three variables tested in this study, the service quality variable that has an influence compared to product knowledge and religiosity. Therefore, the implications of this research are the management of the sharia synergy blessing node cooperative management is expected to assist its transaction activities through the application, it can make it easier for its members to withdraw funds to invest in this Sharia cooperative.

Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze how the financial performance of Islamic banks both individually and as a whole, based on the Maqashid Sharia used by Asy-Syatibi in terms of the purpose of educating individuals, the purpose of establishing justice, and the purpose of public interest during 2016-2020. The benefits of the results of this study can be used as consideration for many parties, including investors, creditors, customers, employees, regulators, and the surrounding community in making decisions by looking at how far the achievement of Islamic banking performance and compliance with Islamic principles in its operational activities. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative with the object of research conducted on 14 Indonesian Islamic Commercial Banks (BUS) registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK). The type of data used is secondary data in the form of financial reports/annual reports obtained from the official website of each bank and in the calculation using Simple Additive Weighting (SAW). The results of this research indicate that Bank Muamalat obtains the highest index for the purpose of educating individuals, Bank Victoria Syariah obtains the highest index for the purpose of establishing justice, and Bank Syariah Mandiri obtains the highest index for the public interest. As for the overall maqashid sharia index, Bank Syariah Mandiri has the highest score compared to thirteen other Islamic banks.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi niat mengonsumsi makanan dan minuman halal pada remaja. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer hasil kuesioner yang disebar kepada para remaja dengan rentang usia 16-24 tahun yang berada di Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang dan Bekasi. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 100 oarang dan di analisis dengan SmartPLS 3.0.  Pendekatan TPB digunakan dalam menentukan variabel-variabel penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel subjectives norms memengaruhi niat untuk mengonsumsi makanan dan minuman halal pada remaja.
