Abstract

This article discusses the prospective reserve of term life insurance of the Canadian method. The method gives the extend of modified period over the entire premium payment period. Term life insurance reserve calculation is solved by determination of the single premium, annual premium, and annuity based on the assumption of constant force in advance.

Abstract

Estimators discussed here are three regression ratio estimators of population mean Y using information on two auxiliary variables Xdan Z under simple random sampling without replacement. They are proposed bySingh, Upadhyaya and Premchandra [4] which is a review of the article “An Improved Version of Regression Ratio Estimator with Two Auxiliary Variables in Sample Surveys.” All estimatorsare biased. The efficient estimator is one with the smallest Mean Square Error (MSE), determined by comparing each type of estimator.

Abstract

Estimators discussed in this paper are three estimators for population ratio using variable transformation, i.e estimator of population ratio using dual variable, regression-type estimator of population ratio, and ratio-type estimator of population ratio, which is a review from the article of Onyeka et.al [Global Journal of Science Frontier Research13(2013):57-65]. The three estimators are biased estimators. The most efficient estimator is the one that has the smallest mean square error obtained by comparing the mean square error of each estimator. An example is given at the end of the discussion.

Abstract

This article discusses a select survival model for the case of multiple decrements in evaluating endowment life insurance premium for person currently aged ( + ) years, who is selected at age with ℎ years selection period. The case of multiple decrements in this case is limited to two cases. The calculation of the annual premium is done by prior evaluating of the single premium, and the present value of annuity depends on theconstant force assumption.

Abstract

This paper discusses three ratio regression linear estimators by Singh, Upadhyaya  and Premchandra for population mean Y using two auxiliary variables X and Z on simple random sampling which is a review of article “An Improved Version of Regression Ratio Estimator with Two auxiliary Variables in Sample Surveys”. The three estimators are biased then the minimum of the (MSE) is determined. Furthermore, their MSE are compared to each other. This comparison shows that the estimator with the minimum MSE is the most efficiensi estimator.

Abstract

"> In this article we review three linear regression ratio estimators for the population mean on simple random sampling without replacement proposed by Singh et al. [Statistics in10 (2009) : 85 - 100 Transition, ]. These estimators are biased estimators and their mean square error are determined. The estimator with the smallest mean square error is the most efficient one. We apply these estimators to show the efficiencies of examples.
