LMS is one of the many online learning models that are applied as online learning media in universities. This model is believed to be able to overcome the high cost of internet packages incurred by students when using online meeting applications. This study aims to measure the level of student satisfaction and perceived with the Ilearn application, with the Moodle platform, which is used by Andalas University. Student perceptions were measured using 6 categories, namely: (a) student interaction with lecturers; (b) student interactions with other students; (c) internet devices and access; (d) motivation to learn); (e) participation during lectures; and (f) perception and absorption of material. Measurement of the level of satisfaction is calculated using descriptive statistical methods. These variables were analyzed based on gender, study period, location of residence, and the instruments used using the one way ANOVA method. This study concluded that the level of satisfaction felt by students as a whole was quite low, especially for the items of internet access, focus and concentration of lectures, and active participation in lectures. It was also concluded that there was no significant effect of gender, location, and the tools used on the level of satisfaction and uptake of recovery materials. Meanwhile, the study period had a significant effect on the level of satisfaction felt by students

To support Perpres no. 87 of 2016, regarding the task force for sweeping illegal levies, the rector of Andalas University in 2017 had issued a system of payment of cashless at the Unand Library Unit. All fine payment transactions are paid through the rector's account which is deposited in Bank Nagari who is a partner of Unand. This study aims to evaluate the policy from the perspective of students as the main users of college library services. Data collection is done using a questionnaire that is distributed to users who have paid fines at the bank. Sample selection was done by purposive random sampling without distinguishing the class and level of study. The results showed that this policy turned out to cause new problems among users. Most students object to the system of paying non-cash fines. They considered this policy to be less effective and tended to harm students both in terms of time and cost, because the Bank Center was quite far from the library building. Actually the use of EDC machines is able to overcome these problems, but the ATM card of the bank that provides the EDC machine, in accordance with the holding account, among Unand students the percentage is still small (24%). To overcome the impact of the non-cash payment system the majority of students (50.65%) suggested returning the payment system at the book return counter, and 31.65% suggesting adding another bank's EDC machine.

Information repackaging aims to overcome barriers to delivering information to users. The high frequency of use of learning management system applications and online meetings has caused various obstacles in the learning process, both in terms of learning models and the costs incurred to buy internet packages. This study aims to repack the lecture material using the assistance of the Youtube and Google Sites applications to support online learning activities. The method applied is applied research in a practical form. Repackaged information is lecture material. The packaging process begins with the selection of lecture materials. Lecture materials are arranged in the form of video tutorials which are divided into several sections. The results of media transfer are stored and published on Youtube. All lecture materials on Youtube are packaged on a website using Google Sites. This study concludes that the combination of Youtube and Google Sites can produce structured and attractive information in the form of an interactive website. Repackaging information using Youtube and Google Sites has changed the paradigm that has been developing, by eliminating dependence on physical media, such as CDs, DVDs, flash drives, and other storage media for storage and packaging media.

The basic difference between a university library and a public library is on its membership basis; the university library is based on faculty and department, while the public library is based on institution. The Senayan Library Management System (SLiMS) application was originally designed for public libraries. Therefore, the membership database in its membership feature needs to be modified before being implemented in a university library. This study was conducted by modifying SLiMS 7 Cendana application in accordance with the needs of university libraries. Begin with membership base modification on membership feature. After that, experiments were conducted to observe its effect on other modules in application. The modules in SLiMS application are related to each other and supported by a relational database, hence this change had an impact on other modules, such as error messages that come up, incompatibility of column heading and data that not appear as requested. Therefore, to make SLiMS application suitable for the needs of universities, the modification must be done thoroughly, especially modules that relate to the membership module, such as circulation module, membership card, visitor counter and reporting.

Introduction. This study aims to measure the extent of the contribution of libraries in sustaining the tri dharma of higher education, by analyzing the activities of students in the library while undergoing lectures with academic achievement (GPA and study period).Data collection method. Research location at the Andalas University Library Unit. The data collection method is done by purposive sampling, based on certain criteria, such as year of entry, level of education, as well as the distance between faculty and library. The study sample was taken from data on the number of visits and the number of student loan collections during the course, which were used as the dependent variable. Whereas academic achievement (independent variable) is measured by GPA and graduate study period.Data analysis. In conducting the analysis, respondents are grouped into 5 categories using a Likert scale, based on the number of visits and the number of books borrowed. After that, the effect on the GPA and the study period was tested using the ANOVA method with the SPSS version 23 application test tool.Results and Discussion. The test results of influence the number of visitors to the GPA produce a significant value of 0,000, and the effect on the study period produces a value of 0.590. While the influence of the number of loans to the GPA produces a significant value of 0,000, and the effect on the study period is 0.230, with a significant limitation of 0.05Conclusions and recommendations. Based on the results of this study it was concluded that the level of visits and utilization of library collections on the Andalas University campus were still very low. Though these activities significantly influence the increase in student GPA but not for the study period.

Introduction. The Self-service Extension feature is one of the innovations developed by SLiMS community since 2015. Its function is to facilitate users in extending the loan period of borrowed books by themselves. Purpose and Method. This study aims to evaluate the performance of the Self-service Extension feature using debugging(error tracking) method by connecting symptoms and causes of errors. Results and Discussion. The results found several weaknesses.This module cannot run properly if the number of loan extensions is set more than once, and information on the amount of fines displayed does not count Sundays as holidays, so the penalty rate displayed exceeds the amount that should be paid. From this study it can be concludedthat the use of the debugging method is quite effective in tracking errors (bugs) on modules with simple program code, such as the Self-service Extension feature. After repairs, the feature can run as it should according to the rules set by its parent application, SLiMS. Its function can be maximized in helping facilitate library users to extend the period of borrowed books online, as well as to see information on the amount of fines to be paid.

The digitalization of scientific reference sources has moved library collections into the virtual realm, in the form of online databases. Thus bringing up new studies in the field of information literacy. This study aims to develop the concept of scientific reference literacy based on user perceptions in college, and measure the needs and benefits for students. The concept was given in the form of training for Andalas University graduate students. To see the effect before and after the training participants were asked to fill out a questionnaire, related to their understanding of the sources of scientific references, and their perceptions of the training material, as well as the benefits they felt. The results of the study showed that before the training they still had difficulty in finding and obtaining reference sources for writing the final project. The concept of online reference literacy given to them turned out to be very useful in increasing their understanding of scientific reference sources in supporting research or writing and publication of scientific papers. In conclusion, although students currently belong to the native digital generation, who are already familiar and adept at using information technology. However, they still need guidance in utilizing scientific reference sources. They must be guided from the first year students. The college must provide a specific time allocation for this training, which is followed by periodic writing of scientific papers by the librarian to ensure that the material presented at the training can be well understood by the participants.

Abstrak Sebagian besar perpustakaan perguruan tinggi masih mempertahankan sistem denda sampai dengan saat ini. Rendahnya disiplin pemustaka merupakan salah satu alasannya. UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Andalas sejak tahun 2017 yang lalu telah menerapkan Early Warning System (EWS), sistem peringatan dini terhadap keterlambatan pinjaman buku yang diterapkan dalam bentuk tayangan video, guna meningkatkan disiplin pemustaka dan mengantisipasi meningkatnya tagihan denda. Setelah dilakukan evaluasi dengan mengukur tingkat keterlambatan pengembalian pinjaman buku, dan tagihan denda dalam jumlah besar, ternyata terjadi perbedaan yang cukup signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah penerapan EWS. Terjadi penurunan keterlambatan pengembalian pinjaman, dari rata-rata 40% menjadi 29,15% setelah EWS diterapkan. Sedangkan penerimaan denda dengan jumlah tagihan besar juga meningkat sampai 400%. EWS, yang mengkombinasikan mekanisme reward and punishment, ternyata mampu meningkatkan disiplin pemustaka. Peringatan dini yang diberikan kepada calon peminjam buku terbukti meningkatkan motivasi mereka untuk mengembalikan buku tepat waktu. Abstract Today, most of college libraries still maintain a fines system for user discipline. The UPT of the Andalas University Library since 2017 has implemented an Early Warning System (EWS) for delays in book lending that is implemented in the form of video shows, in order to improve the discipline of users and anticipate increasing fines. After evaluating by measuring the level of delay in returning book loans, it turned out that there was a significant difference between before and after the implementation of the EWS. There has been a decrease in the delay of book returning after the EWS was applied, from average of 40% to 29.15%. While receipt of fines with large bills also increased to 400%. EWS, which combines reward and punishment mechanism, be able to improve the user discipline. Early warnings proven the increase of user motivation to return books on time.

Abstrak Tagihan denda masih menjadi polemik di perpustakaan perguruan tinggi. Berbagai upaya sudah dilakukan supaya pemustaka segera mengembalikan buku pinjaman dan melunasi tagihan denda. Akan tetapi hanya sebagian dari mereka yang menyelesaikan kewajibannya. Terbuka kemungkinan sebagian dari mereka sudah tidak aktif lagi sebagai mahasiswa. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan sinkronisasi data dengan database akademik untuk memastikan status kemahasiswaannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan cleaning database perpustakaan melalui sinkronisasi data antara database perpustakan dengan database akademik, menggunakan instrumen denda. Prosesnya diawali dengan melakukan rekapitulasi data tunggakan. Kemudian diambil sampel data dari tunggakan yang jumlah dendanya melebihi batas toleransi. Diperoleh sebanyak 198 mahasiswa yang tagihan dendanya melebihi batas. Data tersebut dikirimkan ke pengelola data akademik universitas untuk diperiksa status kemahasiswaannya. Setelah dilakukan sinkronisasi ternyata hanya 69% mahasiswa yang menunggak denda yang masih aktif, sisanya 31% sudah tidak aktif lagi sebagai mahasiswa Unand, ada yang keluar, pindah, drop out, dan lulus. Diantara mahasiswa aktif ternyata hanya 60% yang melakukan registrasi pada semester yang sedang berjalan. Bagi mahasiswa yang masih aktif, dikirimkan daftar tagihan ke fakultas masing-masing. Sedangkan yang tidak aktif, dilakukan proses cleaning di dalam pangkalan data, dengan mengeluarkan mahasiswa yang bersangkutan dari keanggotaan, denda dari transaksi yang tertunggak dihapuskan, dan buku yang dipinjamnya dirubah statusnya menjadi hilang.

Salah satu fungsi Science and Technology Index (SINTA) adalah menilai kinerja jurnal berdasarkan standar akreditasi dan sitasi, dengan mengindeks seluruh jurnal nasional yang sudah diakreditasi oleh Akreditasi Jurnal Nasional (ARJUNA). Makalah ini mencoba membahas tentang bagaimana mahasiswa, dosen, dan peneliti bisa memanfaatkan SINTA dalam mencari jurnal nasional terakeditasi untuk publikasi karya ilmiah, bagaimana memahami karakteristik sebuah jurnal, serta strategi memilih jurnal yang tepat dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan, sehingga karya ilmiah bisa diterbitkan pada jurnal dan waktu yang tepat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode content analysis dengan memahami karakteristik jurnal melalui website resminya. Sampel penelitian diambil dari jurnal nasional bidang ilmu perpustakaan yang terindeks SINTA. Dalam pembahasan ini disimpulkan bahwasanya SINTA sangat membantu memudahkan penulis dalam mencari jurnal untuk publikasi. Selanjutnya, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa tidak semua jurnal nasional terakreditasi bidang ilmu perpustakaan menyajikan informasi pada websitenya dengan baik, seperti website yang tidak aktif, focus and scope, template, dan kontak pengelola yang tidak tersedia. Disamping itu, sebagian besar jurnal nasional bidang ilmu perpustakaan tidak berbayar, dengan rata-rata penerbitan 2 kali dalam setahun.
