Abstract

Dental carries is a major oral health problem in most countries, affecting majority of schoolchildren. Children in the 6 – 12 year age can be at great risk from dental carries. This could be attributed to poor knowledge and awareness towards oral health.The study was done to find out the correlation between school children level of knowledge regarding prevention and occurrence of dental carries at Payung Sekaki Pekanbaru Public Health Center. A crosssectional correlation research design was used for this study. The subjects consisted of 78 schoolchildren who were selected using purposive sampling method. Structured questionnaire and observation sheet that has been tested for validity were used to collect the data. The results showed that 97.4% of the schoolchildren (76 respondents) had good knowledge regarding the prevention of dental carries, while 60 respondents (76.9%) had the incidence of dental carries. Statistical analysis with Chi-Square test indicated that there was no correlation between school-age knowledge about the prevention of dental carries and the occurrence of dental carries with a p value of 1,000 (> 0.05). Hence, this study may recommend to health workers to promote dental health programs in schools.   Keywords: dental carries, knowledge, prevention, school age

Abstract

Sanitasi memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam penularan penyakit. Berkembang biaknya berbagai jenis penyakit baik berbasis lingkungan ataupun vektor dan binatang pembawa penyakit terjadi pada sanitasi lingkungan yang buruk, berhubungan dengan sanitasi jajanan di kantin. Dari 14 kantin yang sudah lakukan observasi pada 20 Mei 2024 kondisi kantin secara garis besar berada di belakang atau di samping gedung sekolah sehingga kebersihannya masih diragukan. Adapun tyjuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui Gambaran sanitasi jajanan di kantin sekolah dasar di wilayah kerja UPT Puskesmas Pal Lima. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif, dengan jumlah populasi penelitian yaitu 6 Sekolah Dasar dengan jumlah sampel 14 kantin dan 16 orang pedagang, menggunakan lembar kuisioner dan checklis.Hasil dari penelitian ini, yaitu didapatkan hasil penilaian pada variabel penyajian didapat 7 (50%) kategori baik dan 7 (50%) kategori cukup, untuk peralatan 100% dan sarana kategori baik 6 (43%), cukup 5 (36%) dan kurang 3 (21%). Kesimpulan dari penelitian kantin di SD Wilayah Kerja UPT Puskesmas ini sudah mendapatkan nilai yang baik dan sesuai. Kesimpulan penelitian ini dikategorikan baik sebanyak 6 Kantin (43%), Cukup 8 Kantin(57%), Kurang 0 Kantin (0%). Sedangkan hasil checklis kategori baik 12 kantin (85%), cukup 2 kantin (15%), kurang 0 (0%).

Abstract

Narcotics abuse is a national problem that is considered serious by the government and can cause damage to the morals of a nation. In Indonesia, narcotics abuse is increasing over time. Narcotics abuse has a negative impact on both dealers and users, both physically and psychologically. This is what creates a sense of vigilance in the community, to always make the best efforts to prevent the distribution and use of narcotics at various levels. Therefore, education is needed to increase legal knowledge and understanding through legal counseling to the community. The aim of this legal counseling activity is to increase public legal awareness. This legal counseling effort was carried out in Cengal Village, Japara District, Kuningan Regency, which was held on January 30 2024. This event was opened with a speech from a Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Kuningan University to convey the aims and objectives of carrying out this event and was continued by a speech from the head of Cengal Village or others. represents it as a welcome greeting. This agenda was carried out as an effort to provide understanding and to increase awareness among the community and village officials about the dangers of drugs which are becoming more common every day as well as legal assistance for people who need legal assistance services at the Faculty of Law, Kuningan University, namely PKBH or Legal Assistance and Consultation Center.
