Abstract

In order to survive and improve self quality in higher levels of education and work, generic science skills are needed. Generic science skill is the skill that can be grown from science learning as a provision to pursue careers in a broader field. In this day and age, many things can be done by using devices, including physics learning. This study aims to find out the differences of generic science skills improvement between a class that apply solar system learning with a scientific approach assisted by Solar System Scope with a class that do not use Solar System Scope. The method used in this study was quasi-experiment with the control group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 31 experimental class students and 31 control class students in the junior high school in Bandung. Both classes were given the multiple choice test. The results of data analysis showed an improvement in both classes with N-gain 45.9% in the experimental class and 22.8% in the control class. The conclusion of this study can be showed by Mann Whitney hypothesis test which produces z = -3.60. It shows that there is a significant differences of generic science skills improvement between both classes after the implementation of solar system learning assisted by Solar System Scope.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menyelidiki tentang profil muatan listrik selama gerhana matahari total 9 Maret 2016 . Pengambilan data dilakukan di pantai terentang pulau bangka. Data variasi muatan diukur dengan menggunakan alat ukur yang dimiliki Pudak Scientific yaitu Charge sensor (0361i) (CMA) (-97..97 nC) order Code : CRG-BTA yang dihubungkan dengan ineterface Euro Lab (ϵ lab). Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan terdapat penambahan jumlah muatan negatif seiring bertambahnya waktu dari jam 06.00-09.00 WIB. Selama terjadi gerhana matahari total mulai kontak 1 sampai kontak 4 (berdasarkan hasil pengukuran alat ukur) ditemukan bahwa ada pengurangan laju pertambahan muatan negatif. Di duga kuat faktor suhu dan intensitas cahaya matahari mempengaruhi jumlah mutan elektron yang terukur. KataKunci: Muatan Listrik, Gerhana matahari total.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran berbasis multirepresentasi terhadap peningkatan kemampuan kognitif dan keterampilan representasi siswa SMA khususnya pada materi Getaran Harmonik Sederhana.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Pre -experimental Designs dengan desain penelian One Group Pretest-posttest Designs. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes pilihan ganda untuk mengukur kemampuan kognitif, tes uraian untuk mengukur keterampilan representasi, lembar observasi untuk mengetahui keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, dan angket tanggapan siswa untuk mengetahui respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran multirepresentasi.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan kognitif yang diukur menggunakan nilai gain yang ternormalisasi menunjukkan capaian 0,63 dengan kategori “sedang”, keterampilan representasi yang diukur menggunakan nilai gain yang ternormalisasi menunjukkan capaian 0,39 dengan kategori “sedang”, dan pembelajaran fisika dengan strategi pemecahan masalah berbasis multirepresentasi mendapatkan tanggapan “positif” siswa pada materi getaran harmonik sederhana.Kata kunci: Multirepresentasi, Kemampuan Kognitif, Keterampilan Representasi ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to knowing the effect of multirepresentation-based learning on enhancing cognitive abilities and representation skills of high school students, especially on simple harmonic vibration concept. This research uses pre-experimental esigns methods with one group pretest-posttest designs. The research instrument uses multiple choice tests to measure cognitive abilities, essay test to measure representation skills, an observation sheet to knowing the feasibility of learning process, and a questionnaire of student responses to knowing student responses to multirepresentation learning strategies. The results showed that the increase in cognitive abilities measured using normalized gain values showed achievements of 0,63 with "medium" categories, representation skills measured using normalized gain values showed achievements of 0,39 with "medium" categories, and physics learning with problem solving strategies based on multirepresentations get a positive responses from students on simple harmonic vibration concept.Keywords: Cognitive Abilitiy, Multirepresentations, Multirepresentation Skills
