Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explore the practice of syncretism in Janengan traditional art in Kesugihan Village, Cilacap, Central Java. This study employs a qualitative research with a multi-disciplinary approach contained four historical method stages. The result of the research shows that Janengan traditional art in Kesugihan Village Cilacap is known as salawat Janengan or salawat illau. It contains Islamic teachings about faith and tasawuf (Islamic mysticism) combined with Javanese local cultural patterns. The community perform this traditional art in slametan events, especially at the commemoration of the Prophet's Birthday (Maulid Nabi Saw.). In conclusion, the syncretism of Javanese-Islamic culture in syi’ir or salawat singir with the Javanese genre as well as sajen (offerings) in each of these arts is strong. This study recommends conducting policy research in strengthening the preservation of Javanese-Islamic traditional arts and Indonesian contexts.

Abstract

Makalah ini bertolak dari pemikiran, bahwa ruh memiliki peranan yang signifikan, baik dalam khazanah keilmuan Islam maupun non-Muslim. Dalam ajaran Islam, ditemukan indikasi, bahwa perbincangan tentang ruh hanya milik filosof dan ahli tasawuf. Sedang di kalangan non-Muslim, terutama para filosof mau tidak mau akhirnya mengakui  bahwa ruh memang diperlukan untuk menjawab hal-hal yang di luar pisik. Karena ruh berdimensi metafisik, maka pembahasannya lebih cocok dilakukan oleh para filosof yang mengedepankan pola-pola rasional. Ibnu Qayim adalah seorang pemikir Muslim dan pelanjut tradisi Salafiyah. Ia  meletakkan ruh bukan pada kajian tasawuf atau filsafat Islam, tetapi pada teologi, sekalipun sangat menolak pola-pola teologi yang dikembangkan kaum Mu’tazilah, Asy’ariyah, dan Maturidiyah. Baginya, pengkajian tentang ruh mesti dimulai dari dalil-dalil nash, pendapat dan pengalaman para sahabat atau tabi’in sebagai afirmasi. Setelah itu, mengemukakan pendapat kaum yang dianggap menyimpang sebagai negasi. Langkah terakhir, dikemukakan pendapatnya sendiri sebagai sintesa. Dari sejumlah informasi, ditemukan,  bahwa posisi ruh dalam realitas bagi Ibnu Qayim bersifat makhluk dan diciptakan. Ia tidak qadîm (terdahulu, lama) dan hadîts (baru). Eksistensinya meng-ada setelah eksis jasad. Ruh mengalami proses triadic, yang meliputi tahapan dialektis, serta kebebasan ruh yang bermakna pusat bagi dirinya sendiri.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss the inspiration for the hadith of the Prophet. in education. This research method is qualitative through literature study and field studies with a design thinking approach to build Litersi Park. The discussion of this research includes education today, the inspiration for the example of the Prophet. in providing benefits for others, and innovation to build literacy gardens. This research concludes that the hadith of the Prophet SAW. has inspirational messages in fostering a sense of empathy by providing benefits to others, in order to create harmony

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to discuss the hadith of the Prophet. about the benefits of miswak for dental health. This research method is qualitative through the takhrij and sharah hadith approaches with chemical analysis. The results and discussion of this of this study are the benefits of siwak content for maintaining healthy teeth. The conclusion of the research is takhrij and syarah hadith of the Prophet about the siwak plant which contains a lot of chemical substances in maintaining healthy teeth which has been done by the Prophet. This study recommends chemists to develop miswak content that is applied to maintain healthy teeth and gums.

Abstract

This research method is qualitative through the takhrij and sharah hadith approaches with chemical analysis. The results and discussion of this study are the dangers of wearing gold jewelry for men. The conclusion of this research is takhrij and syarah hadith of the Prophet. about the dangers of using gold for men that have a negative or harmful impact on health.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the existence and development of Islam in the Ottoman Empire's territory, with a focus on its inception, growth, and evolution. The aspects under scrutiny encompass the political system, governance, state structure, intellectual progress, religious studies, and culture. This studly employs a historical approach to depict how Islam played a pivotal role in shaping and transforming the Ottoman Empire, from its inception to its zenith. In its early stages, Islam acted as a unifying force for diverse ethnic groups and tribes within the region. The political and governance systems, rooted in Islamic principles, contributed to the empire's stability and continuity. As the empire evolved, it emerged as a center of intellect and religion. Intellectual progress is reflected in the establishment of madrasas and other educational institutions that advanced knowledge and Islamic thought, fostering an environment conducive to the growth of religious studies, culture, and the arts. Nonetheless, the empire's development was marked by dynamics that influenced its state structure and political framework. The Ottoman Empire faced challenges from internal and external factors, impacting its political and economic stability. These challenges prompted changes in governance and administrative systems. In conclusion, Islam played a significant role in shaping and guiding the trajectory of the Ottoman Empire. The Islamic-based political and governance systems, coupled with intellectual development, religious studies, and cultural advancements, made substantial contributions to sustaining the empire's existence and growth. However, changes in internal and external dynamics also shaped the evolution of the state and its governance. This study provides profound insights into Islam's role in the history of this region and its repercussions on social, political, and cultural transformations
