Abstract

This research aims to study the composition of the mixture of compost of oil palm empty fruit bunch (Compost of OPEFB), boiler ash and trichoderma on the growth aud yeilds of soybean (Glycine max L. Merrill) in oil palm plantations on peatlands. The experiment was conducted in the Kualu Nenas village, district of Kampar, Riau Province. Experiments used a randomized block design (RBD) consisting of 9 treatments, A (without treatment), B (1.56 kg compost of OPEFB)/plots, C (1.56 kg compost of OPEFB + 156 g boiler ash)/plots, D (1.56 kg compost of OPEFB + 312 g boiler ash)/plots, E (1.56 kg compost of OPEFB + 468 g boiler ash)/plots, F (1,56 kg compost of OPEFB + 3.12 g trichoderma)/plots, G (1.56 kg compost of OPEFB +156 g boiler ash + 3.12 g tichoderma)/plots, H (1.56 kg compost of OPEFB + 312 g boiler ash + 3.12 g trichoderma)/plots, I (1.56 kg compost of OPEFB + 468 g boiler ash + 3.12 g tichoderma)/plots each repeated three times. The parameters observed were plant height, number of primary branches, flowering age, number of pods, number of pods pithy, and dry seed weight per plot. The results show that the treatment of H (1.56 kg compost of OPEFB + 312 g boiler ash+3,12 g trichoderma)/plots increased of plan height, plowering age, number of pods, number of pods pithy, and dry seed weight per plot, significantly compared with no treatment, but not significant compared to the other treatments. Abstract

The aim of riset of Nitrogen fertilizer and Palm Oil Empty Bunches (POEB) compost mixture with boiler ash to increase growth and rice yield. Research was conducted at Pulau Rambai village, Kampar, from December 2012 to March 2013. The method used Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) factorial consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is the provision of 5 tons of compost and boiler ash which consists of 4 levels that are0, 500, 750, and 1000 kg/ha. The second factor of nitrogen fertilizer with 2 level,(100 kg N/ha and 200 kg N/ha ). On this research obtained 8 treatment combination with 3 replications. Research result indicate that the provision of 5 tons of compost and 1000 kg/ha boiler ash ash followed by N fertilizer significantly different on  plant height, maximum number oftillers, number of productive tillers, grain weight. Abstract

The research aims to studythe interaction of compostof oil palm empty bunches(OPEB) and bolier ash on growth and yield of soybeans as an intercrop on oil palm plantation. The research was conducted on oil palm plantation area Agriculture Faculty, Riau University carried out at Tampan Subdistrict, Municipality Pekanbaru, from February to May 2014. The research is factorial experiment 4 x 2 andused a randomized block design (RBD). The first factor is compost of OPEB with 4 levels (0, 5, 10 and 15 ton/ha) and second factor isboiler ash with 2 level (2.5 and 5 ton/ha). Eachof treatments combination repeated 3 times. The effect all of treatments combination has knowed by DNMRT test (Duncan's New Multiple Range Test) at 5% level. Parameters measured were plant height, flowering age, time of harvest, totally pods, pithy pod percentage, dry grain weight per plot and weight of 100 seeds. The result of the research showed that the application of compost of OPEB 10 tons/ha and boiler ash           5 ton/ha increased plant height, dried grain weight per plot and weight of100 seeds significantly compared with application boiler ash 2.5 tons/ha without compost of OPEB, but not significantly compared with other treatments. Abstract

ABSTRACT The aims of the research were to study the effect of the application of ameliorant dregs in peatlands on the growth of rice and Pb, Ni, Cr and Se contents of shoot rice. The research was conducted on peatlands in Tanjung Air Hitam village, Kerumutan district, Pelalawan-Riau, from Agust 2012 to April 2013. The experiment used Split Plot Design and three replications, varieties of rice (Payo Besar and Inpari 12) as main plot and ameliorant of dregs consisted of: 1,25; 2,5 and 5 ton per hectare as the sub plot. The result of research showed the application of dregs 1,25 ton per hectare increased the plant height, maximum tiller number and weight of dry shoot. The Pb and Ni of shoot rice were very low and Cr and Se were not measurable. Keywords : Peatland, Dregs, Rice, Heavy Metals.

Abstract

The Research aims to study the effect of application of composting of oil palm empty fruit  bunch ( compost of OPEFB) and fertilizer of N, P and K to the growth and yield of sweet corn in Ultisol. The research conducted at Kampar District, Riau Province from September to December 2011. This reseach used completely randomized design (CRD)  consisting of 10 treatment; 0, 20, 40 and 60gram OPEFB compost/polybag (A,B,C and D); 20, 40, and 60gram/polybag OPEFB compost/polybag +fertilizer of N,P, K with half the recommended dose (E,F and G); 20, 40, and 60gram OPEFB compost + fertilizer of N,P and K with recommended dosage ( H,I and J)  each treatment was repeatet 3 time. The parameters measured were height plant, diameter of cobs, long of cobs , weight cobs, weight of cron cobs without cron husk. The results showed that the application of 60 gram/polybag with OPEFB compost/polybag +fertilizer, N, P and K recommended dosage can the growth and yield of sweet corn highest compered with the control and othe treatments.   Keyword: Empty Palm Bunch, NPK fertilizer, Ultisol, Sweet corn

Abstract

This research aims to obtain doses of the empty palm bunches of compost and ash of the boiler optimum for growth of soybean plant interposed in oil palm already produce in peat. This research conducted by using draft experimentally random group comprising nine of treatment and three of deut so acquired twenty seven units of the plot experiment. On the first of the plot unit experiment there were twenty plants and taken a sample of plants as many as five plant of the population of the plot at random to observation. Parameters used in this research is tall plant (cm), how many branches primary (strands), age flowering (day), the number pods, the number pods pithy, heavy dry 100 seeds of gram (g) and heavy dry of plot (g). The results showed that the high parameter, the number of primary branches of plants, flowering age, number of pods of pithy and dry weight of 100 seeds showed a different result is outcome real. However, on the parameter the number of pods and heavy dry of plot show a different outcome real. The best treatment in this research is treatment H ( 1,45 kg bunches of empty oil palm + 145 g ashes of the boilers + 2.9 g Trichoderma) of a plot that tends to increase high in plant, speed up the age of flowering, increase the number of pods and dry weight of the soybean plant. Abstract

The research aims to study the effect of intraction of vermicompost fertilizer and cow urine in the medium of ultisol subsoil to growth of oil palm seedlings. The research was conducted from Maret to July 2014. The research is a factorial experiments used Completely Randomized Design (CRD), the main factor is vermicompost fertilizer with 4 levels (0, 25, 50, and 75 g/polybag) and the second factor is concentrations of cow urine with 4 levels (0, 10, 20, and 30%). Each treatments combination repeated 3 times. Parameters measured were seeds height, hump diameter, leaf numbers, dry weight of seeds, shoot and root ratio. The result showed that the application of vermicompost fertilizer and cow urine have not significant effect on seeds height, hump diameter, leaf numbers, dry weight of seeds, shoot and root ratio. The application 75 g/polybag of vermicompost fertilizer and 30% of cow urine tend to  increas the seeds height, hump diameter and  leaf numbers of oil palm seeds greater than other treatments. Abstract

This research aimed to get the kind of plant extracts as a Plant Growth Regulator (PGR) exogenously given and ameliorant ratio that influential as improving rice growth and production in peatlands. This research had been done in peatlands at Tanjung Air Hitam Village, Pelalawan, started from August 2012 until march 2013. This research had been done experimentally using split plot design. The main plot was the plant extract from banana stump (Z1), bamboo shoot (Z2) and the mixture (Z3). The subplots were ameliorant ratio (compost of Oil Palm Empty Fruit Bunch (OPEFB) and dregs}, with three level treatment, that were 4 : 1 {OPEFB compost 5 ton/ha + dregs 1,25 ton/ha), 2 : 1 (OPEFB compost 5 ton/ha + dregs 2,5 ton/ha) and 1 : 1 (OPEFB compost 5 ton/ha + dregs 5 ton/ha). In this research was got 9 combinations with 3 replications. The result showed that giving of plant extracts and ameliorant ratio was nonsignificant for the plant height, maximum tillers, productive tillers, age of harvest, grain per panicle, grain pithy percentage, weight of 1000 grains and also rice production per plot.   Keywords: Ameliorant, PGR, Rice and Peatland

Abstract

Plant oil palm is the dominant plantation crops cultivated in Riau. Needs of oil palm seedlings increased with the expansion of the land and replanting. This research aims to study the application compost of oil palm empty fruit bunches(OPEFB) in the growth of oil palm seedlings in the nursery main- medium ultisol subsoil. This research was conducted in the greenhouse agriculture university faculty Riau, from September to December 2013. The study was carried out experiments using a completely randomized design ( CRD ), which consists of 4 treatments each ( 0 , 20 , 30 , and 40 tons of compost of OPEFB/ha ), each repoted 4 times. The results showed that application of compost of oil palm empty fruit bunches at a dose of 30 tones/ha can increase seedling height and diameter weeviloil palm are greater than the without compost and aplication 20 tons compost of OPEFB /ha. The increase of dose compost of OPEFB to 40 tons/ha increased seedling height and weevil diameter greates. Keyword: Palm oil, Ultisols and Oil Palm Empty Fruit Bunch.

Abstract

The research aimed to study the application of the combination of compost of palm oil empty fruit bunches (POEFB), boiler ash and liquid waste of palm oil industry to growth and yield of soybean (Glycine max L. Merril) on palm oil plantations in peat land. The research was conducted at the Kualu Nenas Village, Kampar Regency,  Riau Province from January to April 2013. The research used Randomized Block Design consists of nine treatment (A : without treatment/control, B : 1.45 kg compost of POEFB per plot, C : 1.45 kg compost   + 145 g boiler ash per plot, D : 1.45 kg compost + 290 g boiler ash per plot, E : 1.45 kg compost + 435 boiler ash per plot, F : 1.45 kg compost + 8,64 ml liquid waste per plot, G : 1.45 kg compost + 145 g boiler ash + 8.64 ml liquid waste per plot, H : 1.45 kg compost + 290 g boiler ash + 8.64 ml liquid waste per plot and I : 1.45 kg compost + 435 g boiler ash + 8,64 ml liquid waste per plot) each treatment repeated three times. Parameters observed were plant height, number of primary branches, age flowering, number of pods, percentage of pithy pods and weight of dry seed per plot. The research shows that application of 1.45 kg empty fruit compost of POEFB + 145 to 435 g boiler ash + 8.64 ml liquid waste per plot can increase plant height, number of pods and weight of dry seed per plot significantly compared with control, but not significantly compared with the another treatments.
