Abstract

The purpose of this study is : The level dynamics of sago farmers' groups in the village Lukun districts Tebing Tinggi Timur district Meranti. This study uses survey. This research was conducted in the village Lukun districts Tebing Tinggi Timur district Meranti starting from April to July 2016. Making a total of 55 people were taken by sago farmers with Purpossive Sampling. Analysis of the data used are Skala Likert Analysis. These results indicate that : The level of farmer group dynamics sago in the village Lukun districts Tebing Tinggi Timur in the category “medium” with a score average 3,06. Abstract

The purposes of this research about the agricultural extension field and farmer perceptions for importance the role of extension Arabica Coffee plantations in Purba District Simalungun Regency North Of Sumatera Province is: 1. To determind the organizing of extension Arabica Coffee. 2. To determind the agricultural extension field perceptions for the importance the role of extension arabica coffee plantations. The method taked of data used is a survey method. Sample in the research is extension field and farmer, intake of agricultural extension field  respondents with census method amount 10 people and intake of farmer respondents with purposive sampling with considering 4 chosen villages whose numbers of farmers are the highest and chosing 2 villages that was trained by a civil-servant trainer, selecting 10 people of each village. The number of farmers chosen as samples in total is 60 farmers of total 14 villages. They are members of farmer groups with consideration on number of members and the status of the group. Data analysis uses a Scale Likert’s Summated Rating (SLR). Variables used in this research is by comparing those of Mardikanto and Law No. 16 of  2006 as many as 9 variables. The results of this study are that organizing of extension in Purba District has been carried out well in accordance with counselling elements. Counseling has a perceptions the role of extension Arabica Coffee plantations gives an average score of 3.94 with an “Important” category. While the farmers’ perception gives an average score of 4.01 with an “Important” category.   Keywords: Perceptions, Agricultural Extension Field, Farmers, The Importance ofRole  Extension

Abstract

The extention are contribute in order to increase the productivity, production and income of the farming communities. But lately, the existence of extention institution are decrease that cause by vary factors. In Riau Province, the implementation of agricultural extention in Kuantan Singingi district at level of sub-district are under management of sub-department or Unit Pelaksanaan Teknis Dinas (UPTD). This research are intend to reviewing the vision and mission, to analyze the duty and fuction based on existing structure on the institution of each department at Kuantan Singingi district, reviewing the existing rule and policy on each department at Kuantan Singingi district. The result of the research shows that all department has vision and mission which is descript the performance that will be achieve for the next 5 year period since the vision and mission that published. Basically, the vision and missionthat had made has shows the success from the time to the time, but still there are problems on achieve vision and mission. Meanwhile from programa agricultural extention, there is 1 department that doesn’t make the programa of agricultural extention, which is on Fisheries department. Point out of the fifth departments has 1 Person as Head of Department, 1 Person as Secretary, 3 Person as Head of Divisions and some several person as section. Rule and policy that made by each department at Kuantan Singingi district, basically emphasize to increase the quality of administration of the institutional, public management, and the improvement of the knowledge of human resources as well as at the department environment or on the  farm level.
