ABSTRACTPulmonary tuberculosis (Pulmonary TB) becomes a major public health problem in Indonesia. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) estimated that one-third of the world’s population is infected by mycrobacterium tuberculosis. In 1992, the WHO has declared tuberculosis as a global emergency. One of the factors that influence the spread of pulmonary tuberculosis is nutritional status. The aim of this research is to describe the nutritional status of outpatients with pulmonary tuberculosis at Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru General Hospital. This research uses descriptive method with cross sectional approach. The population in this research were all outpatients with pulmonary tuberculosis in pulmonary clinic of Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru General Hospital. The samples in this research were 71 people were taken with consecutive sampling method. The result showed that there were 67,6% male and 32,4% female, most patients were on productive age (18-55) there were 84,5%. Characteristic based on occupation and education showed 22,5% were employee and 49,3% have middle education. 83,1% were old patients and 76,1% of patients has been taking treatment > 2 months. There were 56.3% patients with good appetite. The most common nutritional status based on body mass index is normal category (46,5%) and nutritional status based on MUAC measurements, there were 49,3% patients with ideal nutritional category. The risk of malnutrition with malnutrition universal screening tools method showed most patient at high risk category (60.6%).Keywords : pulmonary tuberculosis, nutritional status, malnutrition universal screening tools

The science of grammar is an important branch of Arabic grammar that functions as the main tool for understanding the structure and meaning of sentences in the Qur'an. One of the interesting syntactic elements to study is the letter Wawu (و), which has various functions depending on the context of its use. This study aims to specifically examine the various functions of the letter Wawu in QS. Al-Hasyr verse 9. This verse was chosen because it contains several forms of Wawu usage with different functions, such as the letter athof (connector), the letter hal (condition clarifier), and others. By using a syntactic analysis approach based on the rules of grammar, this study found that the letter Wawu in the verse not only functions as a connector between phrases or clauses, but also has an important role in forming meaning and clarifying the context of the sentence. The results of this study are expected to enrich the understanding of the function of letters in Arabic and contribute to the study of linguistics and interpretation of the Qur'an.

This study aims to examine the influence of plural forms in Arabic, especially jam’ul qillah and jam’ul katsrah, on the understanding of the mufassir in interpreting the verses of the Qur'an. The focus of this study is directed at the comparison between Tafsir al-Thabari which represents the classical approach, and Tafsir al-Mishbah which uses a contemporary approach. The difference in understanding of plural forms is believed to not only have an impact on linguistic interpretation, but also have consequences for the understanding of law and social values in the Qur'an. This study uses a qualitative method with a content analysis approach to the tafsir texts containing plural forms. Data were collected through literature studies by examining primary and secondary sources, then analyzed descriptively-comparatively. The findings show that the forms jam’ul qillah and jam’ul katsrah can affect the breadth of meaning, both in legal and social verses. Through the comparison of the two tafsirs, it is seen that the linguistic aspect has an important role in forming the interpretative framework of the mufassir. These results are expected to enrich the linguistic study of the Qur'an and contribute to the methodology of interpretation based on language and context.
