Abstract

This research aims to describe and analyze students' errors in solving the problem on the matter of fractional counting operations. The type of research used is descriptive explorative research with mixed methods. The population of this research is the students of grade V SDN Pengawu with the number of research subjects of 35 students. The results obtained that the concept error on fractional counting operations amounted to 53.86%, principal errors of 41.22%, and error calculation of 4.92%. For fractional addition operations, concept errors of 80.70%, principal errors of 13.16%, and calculation errors of 6.15%. For reduction operations, concept errors of 44.53%, principal errors of 49.92%, and calculation errors of 6.25%. For multiplication operations, concept errors are 50.00%, principal errors of 45.59%, and calculation errors of 4.42%. For fractional division operations, concept errors of 40.17%, principal errors of 57.26%, and calculation errors of 2.57%. Keywords:  analysis of errors, concepts, principles, calculations, fractional counting operations.

Abstract

Plagiarism is an intolerant action in the circumstances of education; it is stealing or cheating any papers, ideas, and things related to someone’s works. This is a harmful offence with academic, professional, legal, and monetary consequences when someone is proved as a plagiarist. Students can be expelled from the class when they cheat colleagues’ works; the worst is that the university can retract their certificate of graduation when their manuscripts are investigated and proved as result of copying other works. Regarding to its danger, pla-giarism has to be avoided trough establishing curriculum in higher level of education. Teacher and lecturer should provide their lessons, especially in language skills, with awareness of the plagiarism danger to the students. A skill of language that most easily susceptible and detected in plagiarism is writing. Since writing is not a gift skill as listening, students need to learn how to write properly. Simply, when they are not able to rewrite someone’s statements with their own wording, students are doing plagiarism. This article reporting at a descriptive qualitative research aimed at describing the teaching method to raise students’ awareness toward the danger of plagiarism which is applied by a lecturer in Academic Writing Class of EED - UNS for the academic year 2016. She believes that when the students have awareness in the risks or consequences of plagiarism, they will act for not doing plagiarism in their works. She supports her conventional way of teach-ing with technology of plagiarism checker. The method of enrichment traditional teaching with technology is known as Tech-Rich Instruction (not blended learning). This Tech-Rich Instruction she applied is successful-ly raising her students’ awareness in the danger of plagiarism and leads to the efforts of avoiding plagiarism in academic writing.

Abstract

Repong damar merupakan salah satu kearifan lokal masyarakat pesisir Krui dalam menjaga dan mengelola hutan dan sebagai sumber mata pencaharian masyarakat di sekitarnya. Dalam perkembangannya, keberadaan repong damar tidak terlepas dari ancaman dan bahaya kerusakan akibat penebangan tegakan damar, serangan hama penyakit dan konversi repong damar menjadi kebun kelapa sawit.  Selain itu, minimnya kesadaran generasi muda untuk melestarikan keberadaan repong damar juga menjadi suatu kendala dan ancaman bagi keberlangsungan keberadaan repong damar. Masyarakat telah melakukan berbagai usaha untuk menjaga kelestarian repong damar, diantaranya dengan mengembangkan pembibitan damar. Namun, pengelolan repong damar secara berkelanjutan belum dikelola masyarakat sekitar secara maksimal. Hasil kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat Pekon Pahmungan dalam memanfaatkan dan mengelola repong damar secara berekelanjutan.

Abstract

This literature review aims to look at optimizing the application of student character in social studies learning. Social studies learning has an important role in forming student character. Students who have mental strength and good morals will certainly be able to have a personality with character. This can differentiate him from other students. Social studies learning in forming students' character is certainly not an easy thing, it requires continuous struggle to produce results that are in line with national education goals. One of the main objectives of social studies learning in schools is to be responsible for building students' character to become good and useful citizens. Social studies education is actually very closely related to character education. This can be seen from the formulation and objectives, that character education or values ​​education also aims to make students become good citizens. Social studies learning has similarities with character education in that both have the aim of making students good citizens, concerned about existing social and environmental problems, and also both have a high sense of nationality.

Abstract

This research is a systematic literature study (Systematic Literature Review) on the impact of learning that integrates moral values ??on the formation of students' character. This research uses a systematic literature review method which is a method that focuses on the stages or process of identification, study or analysis, evaluation, as well as interpreting and making conclusions based on research results contained in articles in a systematic and structured manner that follows predetermined stages so that it can used as a solution to the specified problem. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide benefits; (1) as information for teachers and lecturers to find out the impact of learning that integrates moral values ??on the formation of students' character. (2) as a reference for lecturers to conduct similar research and as material for reflection in correcting mistakes that have occurred.
