The minimal existing of residences in the city of Pekanbaru is causing the rental price or the selling price of a dwelling unit continues to rise. With the difference of economic ability in each individual, not all the people who are migrants in Pekanbaru city get a place to live. Dense economic growth in downtown Pekanbaru, causing the amount of empty land becomes reduced. Pekanbaru need an affordable solution for a settlement and able to accommodate the density of residents of Pekanbaru city. One of the affordable rental dwelling is a Rusunawa (Rented Simple Public Mansion). This Rusunawa is intended for middle-class people who want to have a fixed residence at a more affordable price. Some facilities that needed in the design of Rusunawa are residential facilities, shared facilities, environmental facilities and supporting/infrastructure facilities. The designing of natural cooling in Rusunawa is by applying 4 elements : wind, space, water & vegetation and building materials. Air circulation in Rusunawa designed to run smoothly because it can maximize the application of natural cooling into the buildings. The application of the concept design is to facilitate Rusunawa with communal space as a means of social interaction among residents. Its application is by making a gathering room, sky bridge and sky plaza, and the building mass into the form of boxes.Kata kunci: Rental house, Rusunawa, Rented Simple Public Mansion, Natural cooling

Ports is a facilities of transportasion which still plays an important role in the development of various modes of transport. Especially in Indonesia, known as the MaritimeStates, port as part well as a liaison between the gate area economy. Sei Duku Port is the only port that is located right in Pekanbaru’s downtown, Sei Duku Port plays an important role in the development of Pekanbaru and Riau Province. Along with the times Sei Duku port state currently has some shortcoming such as chaotic circulation, irregular parking area, and don’t accomodate the needs of the water transportation into or out ofPekanbaru. So, it needs to redesign and developing the Sei Duku Port. Redesign and development of the Sei Duku Port apply the structure as an aesthetic element by applying theconcept of tectonics architectural. Application of the theme and concept was done by exposure and processing of the structure of the building so as to overcome the problems that occured on the current port. Body treatment has become a necessary that can not be separated from women. It because Allah has created the creatures in perfect condition, so human should be grateful. A way to begrateful is keeping and caring of herselves. Muslimah beauty center accommodates the concentrated to make a person looks interesting, beautiful, clean, and health. Muslimah beautycenter adhere to Islamic law. The method transformed akhlakul karimah into architectural form using meaning transformation. Architectural behavior aspects that be applied are privacy,territoriality and personal space. Akhlakul Karimah aspects that be applied are hijab, simplicity, giving, fairness, Ukhuwah Islamiah, and avoid unexpected view. Application of the concept iscontained in setting and circulation space. Privacy using partitions or wall, so the privacy of users can be maintained. That is to keep the views outer room into the inner room. Then, provided asimulation and demonstration space to spend the waiting time. It can influence visitors interactions with other people to keep Ukhuwah Islamiyah. Simplicity be applied with linier circulation. Giving and simplicity concept be applied with mass transformation using substractive and additive from circle, square, and triangle. Pekanbaru city developed rapidly, becoming a place of activities that support all aspects of the emerging economies in Riau province. The existence of competition in the market to seize, resulting in the emergence of new discoveries. Competition occurs because the needs of the wider community publications. And so we need a container to hold meetings which aim to produce something that can improve a variety of sectors, whether economic, social, and political, even education and entertainment. Meeting the existing building does not stand alone, but part of the hotel buildings and large office buildings. In addition, buildings associated with the activities of the convention no one has the image of an attractive visual appearance. The problem basically is how the format of the building that can accommodate a variety of conventions, the circulatory system of the building, and application of the concept Futuristic at the convention building. The concept raised for the building of this convention is the development of futuristic elements, namely Dynamic Facades, Technological Innovation and Sustainable. The method used is modeling Futuristic forms using computer software and supported by modeling animation techniques to design a dynamic roof notching, the application of technology in the parking system, the formation of the facade that moves through the role of the sensor to the movement of the sun, and all aspects in accordance with the request Futuristic basic concepts and objectives. Designed so that the Convention Center can accommodate a variety of activities that are conventions with the circulatory system of the building are arranged for the convenience of visitors, and in accordance with the concept of futuristic buildings with elements developed, namely Dynamic Facades, Technological Innovation and Sustainable.Keywords: Convention Center, Futuristic Architecture

Nowadays, there are still children who have not been able to have the human right in social reality. One of the solution to handle this homeless children’s problem is throught an orphanage.An orphanage of homeless children is a social welfare agencies that has a role in improving the physical, mental, social and economic of homeless children condition. To fulfill this role, thebehavior architecture approach is applied to accommodate and empower the behavior of homeless children. Behavior aspects that applied are territory, privacy, personal space especiallyin dormitory that has privacy activities by using partition, wall and glass. Cluster territory at orphanage region is close region by one way of in and out. The concept of this design is thelabyrinth, which is based on the behavior of homeless children. The labyrinth has a meaning centered with open space in the center of the region, protect is applied with clusters, complex with explorative shape, and flow with arrange every space. In addition, connection spaces are considered based on behavior of homeless children at mosque, education building, clinic, home stay, dining room, gardening area, raising area and the field with arrange proximity space in every functions.Keywords: Orphanage, Homeless Children, Behavior Architecture, labyrinth.

The development of the Christian is basically not detached from some roles of the Church's youth as the next generation. In developing nations which have various crises, the role of youth with great spiritual, intelligent, and morality quality is required. With the rapid growth of Christian population in Pekanbaru, a means known as Christian community facility is needed to motivate the Christians, especially the youths in order to realise the great potential in themselves. This facility is meant to be centre of icon for the youths in conducting spiritual guidance. To maintain christianity values, this Christian facility will be designed using symbolic architectural approach which applies Eikumene philosophy in its design concept. Those symbol and principle will make atmosphere in the design stronger with Christian spirituality nuance. According to the vision and mission Rokan Hilir Regency which one of them is to prepare self to educational society life, so it need to design a public library which is economical in using the nature resource, minimize the negatif impact, also be able toimproving the human life quality. Library is a space, a part of a building or the building it self which is used to keep books and other derivative which are usually kept according to thecertain formation to be read, not to be sold. The nature phenomenon which is menacing this earth is a global warming. To reduce that impact so we choose the green architecture as the approach in designing the public library. One of them is about the thermal pleasure, by set the site and building mass which can give the thermal pleasure to the user of public library.Because, the thermal is a thermal condition which can be felt by human, not by object, animal, and architecture, but is conditioned by the environment and the objects around thearchitecture or the mind condition of somebody who can expressing his satisfaction to the thermal environment. This public library is presented with the green architecture conceptwhich be expected will be used in this present and the future, for the better continuity of life. The design method which be used in this public library is the six criterion of the Green Building Index (GBI). (1) Energy efficiency; (2) The environmental quality in the space; (4) Material and resource; (5) Water efficiency; (6) Innovation. From the theory and method which be used in this design reaching the conclusion that in the strive to set the site and the building mass as the strive to reach the pleasure, we apply the green architecture in this public library design. To reach the thermal pleasure to the public library user, we do the strive to set the site and mass of the building by applying six criterion of Green Building Index (GBI) from the green architecture.Key Word: Public Library, Green Architecture, Thermal Pleasure

Intellectual dissabilities school is an institution of formal education that caters for children with mental retardation. To solve the problem of designing a room needed by the children with intellectual dissabilities, is with architectural behavior approach for the children with intellectual dissabilities. This research uses the theory of behavioral architecture, the theory of children with intellectual dissabilities behavior in children withintellectual dissabilities learning books and theory of optimal quality room. The design method is using concept of optimal quality room. The optimal quality room includes the activity of the children with intellectual dissabilities, magnitude characteristics of children with intellectual dissabilities, accessibility, site zone, colour, temperature and lighting, sizeand shape, furniture and its arrangement. People need entertainment, one of them is have recreation to recreation park. Recreation park in Pekanbaru city is very minimal and limited. The lack of recreational park in Pekanbaru is the reason to built a Theme Park. Sumatra Fairytale Theme Park takes on fairytale as a theme of the park. Tale is one of Indonesia's cultural heritage is passed down through each generation. Fairy tales are drawn from five provinces, namely: Aceh, North Sumatra, Riau, Jambi and West Sumatra. The design pattern and space in order to be considered because the activity is in the room or indoor. The completion of the architectural design theme Postmodern architecture of choice for solving existing problems. The principles of postmodern architecture by Charles Jencks, namely: double coding, hybrid, and the metaphor became the foundation for creating Sumatra Fairytale Theme Park. In this design concept used pleasure and fantasy concepts (fun and fantasy). Pelalawan has several attractions, and Bono Waves in Ogis Beach Village Teluk Meranti Sub-district is one of them. However, these attractions are not supported by sufficient facilities, one of which is a residential resort. This design has a close connection with the resort destination in Ogis Beach that is with Coastal Architecture Approach. In addition, the design of tourist attraction area Ogis Beach Beach Bono will apply the concept of "Rhythmic Rising Waves" which is the main basic concept in the design. In this concept there are several applications of the design of the nature of waves, such as masses and roofs adapted from the nature of waves that have a low rhyming high. The color of the building is adapted from the color of the kampar river like the color of wood is brown. Then the circulation in the building that is created does not have a partition, so it can surprise people who see it. This design has a design that applies the principle of coastal architecture and the concept taken from the nature of the waves. By using some application of the concept, this design can minimize the negative influence gained from coastal tourism area ogis estuary bono.
