Abstract

Abstract Many people do not understand the importance of public speaking technique. The most frequent phenomenon of public speaking is in PKK (Family Welfare Guidance) as one of the organization within our closest community. Therefore, there should be a training of public speaking skills for PKK cadres of RW VI, Tandang Village, Tembalang Subdistrict, Semarang. It is expected to explore the potency of PKK cadres to improve their confidence and bravery to speak up in public. After training, it is also expected that the PKK cadres can continuously implement all of the training materials. Thus, these cadres can sharpen their ability to do public speaking in front of?é?á forum which can produce other achievements that can improve the quality of PKK cadres. It can result on the increasing of their role and involvement in every governmental or non governmental activity or program. Abstract

Historifikasi, alinasi pada Teater Epik Bertolt Brecht mempunyai kemiripan dengan pertunjukan seni drama tradisi Kethoprak. Alinasi dalam naskah karya Brecht muncul dari rangkaian pemikirannya, yaitu Historifikasi-Alinasi-Epik. Historifikasi adalah usaha Brecht untuk menempatkan aktor seolah-olah memainkan sebuah adegan sejarah. Alinasi adalah usaha untuk menggambarkan sebuah peristiwa ke dalam bentuk baru yang bertujuan untuk mencegah penonton menjadi katarsis, sedangkan Epik adalah diambil dari kata epos atau cerita kepahlawanan. Ketiga hal tersebut, alinasi menjadi unsur paling sering dibahas dalam konteks pembicaraan tentang teater Epik.  Untuk mendapatkan alinasi, Brecht tidak menciptakan metode khusus pelatihan aktor dalam mencapainya, tetapi alinasi tersebut melekat dalam naskah yang ditulisnya. Alinasi didapatkan dari cara menganalisis struktur naskahnya. Historifikasi-Alinasi-Epik juga terdapat pada struktur naskah lakon-lakon pertunjukan seni drama tradisi Kethoprak berupa dialog, mood dan spectacle.Kata kunci: historifikasi, alinasi, Teater Epik Brecht, Kethoprak.

Abstract

Da'wah is an activity of voicing, calling, inviting or appealing to someone. In the Islamic religion, da'wah is an activity carried out to invite or distribute information related to the teachings of the Islamic religion. One example of da'wah is by providing information in the form of reminders to pray. Kidung Pepeling is a song initiated by Ki Anom Suroto which contains a warning message for carrying out prayers. This research regarding Kidung Pepeling by Ki Anom Suroto is intended to find out the meaning of connotation, denotation and myth contained in the lyrics. The scalpel used in this research is to use a literary critical approach, namely Roland Barthes' semiotic approach. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method. The data collection process carried out was by collecting the lyric text of the Pepeling song as an initial stage. Then, the text that has been collected is first translated into Indonesian to simplify the research process. After that, the data analysis process in the form of the lyric text of the ballad is carried out based on the meaning, denotative, connotative and mythical meaning contained in the lyrics. The results obtained from this research were the discovery of semiotic signs in the form of deontation meaning, connotation meaning and mythical meaning in the Pepeling song.

Abstract

The Ki Gede Sebayu folktale was one of the most renowned stories from Tegal and one of the founding figures of Tegal city. This study aimed to examine the depiction of nationalism and religiosity values in Ki Gede Sebayu folklore through three main aspects: infrastructure development, the role of religion, and community capacity building. A descriptive-qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through literature study and directed observation and analyzed using Levi-Strauss structuralism theory. The results indicate that the folklore of Ki Gede Sebayu reflected a number of values associated with nationalism, including love for the country, togetherness, mutual cooperation, courage, sacrifice, social justice, loyalty to the country, and exemplary leadership. Additionally, the value of religiosity is reflected through the spread of Islamic propagation as well as the construction of mosques and Islamic boarding schools. The conclusion of the Ki Gede Sebayu folklore was that it reflects the values of nationalism and religiosity. As a result, it was an important source of inspiration in the construction of the unity and pride of the Indonesian nation.
