Abstract

Abstrak : Banyuwangi memliki keanekaragaman wisata budaya, wisata kuliner dan wisata alam sehingga memunculkan konsep Ecotourism melalui penyediaan dan pengembangan berbagai fasilitas yang menunjang yang berbasis pada kearifan lokal yang berfokus pelestarian dan pengembangan budaya lokal. Adanya bahasa daerah menambah khasanah dalam memperkenalkan kebudayaan Banyuwangi. Kajian Bahasa Osing dalam moderenitas bermaksud memprespektifkan diri dari berbagai aspek kehidupan. Adapun moderenitas disini bermaksud menganalisis dimulai dari sejarah Bahasa Osing, Bahasa Osing sebagai simbol bahasa daerah, Bahasa Osing dalam pergaulan masyarakat, Budaya Idea, Budaya Artefak sampai dengan peran pendidikan Bahasa Osing. Hal ini bertujuan ranah dari kajian Bahasa Osing. Adapun metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif. Adapun dalam mengumpulkan data dalam hal ini menggunakan kajian pustaka yaitu mengumpulkan data dan informasi dari sumber leterasi terpecaya melalui kajian penelitian dan tulisan ahli. Selain itu juga data yang diolah juga diperoleh dari wawancara langsung dengan ahli budaya di Banyuwangi. Hal ini bertujuan kajian yang diperoleh lebih berfokus pada gambaran akan suatu kondisi Bahasa Osing dalam suatu moderenitas Kata kunci : Bahasa Osing, Moderenitas, Suku Osing, Banyuwangi

Abstract

The one of commodities that contribute economies in agricultural sector, has an integrated competitiveness and agribusiness that can improve the welfare of the famers is coffee. This research aims to find out; Formulating development strategy on coffee commodities in order to strengthen agricultural product market in integrative with tourism sector in Banyuwangi Regency. The research area is determined purposively, that is in Banyuwangi Regency. This research uses descriptive and analytic method. Sampling method is conducted purposively (purposive sampling). This research is analyzed using Location Quotient, Marketing Mix and Force Field Analysis tools. The research results show that by formulation of strategy model of development of coffee commodities in order to strengthen agricultural product market in integrative with tourism sector in Banyuwangi Regency which can be used on of the government policy and provide better life expectancy of coffee farmers.

Abstract

One information technology that has a big influence on human life, especially in Indonesia, is the application of electronic government (e-government).  E-government aims to achieve transparency in public services by integrating electronic systems for managing and processing documents and information.  Bureaucratic reform often stems from poor public service quality, leading governments to introduce e-government solutions for enhancing public services to meet public expectations.  So, the researcher will highlight the core issue of the study, which is the suboptimal execution of e-government in public services to align with public expectations. This study employs a descriptive research method utilizing a qualitative approach. The selection of this approach is driven by the objective of comprehending and detailing the deployment of e-government in public services within Kedungasri Village, Tegaldlimo District, Banyuwangi Regency, along with the challenges it faces. The implementation of e-government in Kedungasri Village, Tegaldlimo, Banyuwangi is quite good and smooth.  This can be seen from a beneficial perspective for society.  Key elements for successful e-government implementation include a smooth system and smooth network, making it easier to access the existing e-government system.  The inhibiting factor in implementing e-government is many Kedungasri sociey are technologically illiterate and do not have cellphones.  By introducing e-government in Kedungasri Village, there is an expectation for increased awareness and education on utilizing information and communication technology so that its implementation can run even better.  It is hoped that all village officials will maximize their efforts to support the community and participate in training with more focus so that they can better serve the community.

Abstract

Early childhood education in Banyuwangi faces challenges in the integration of local culture and the potential of the Ijen Geopark. Around 40% of PAUD institutions implement a curriculum based on local culture. The limited understanding of educators and the lack of exploration activities hinder the use of Geoparks as a learning medium. The lack of community support and facilities in PAUD exacerbates this situation. The purpose of this research is to integrate local culture and the natural potential of the Ijen Geopark in early childhood education in Banyuwangi. This study assesses the challenges and opportunities for the implementation of cultural and environment-based learning. The research methodology uses a qualitative approach based on literature review. This study collected data from journals and relevant documents. The main focus of the research is the challenge in the application of culture-based learning in early childhood education. The results of the study show the importance of integrating contextual learning that links culture and environment in early childhood education in Banyuwangi. The Ijen Geopark offers great potential to enrich children's learning experience through direct interaction with nature and local culture. By utilizing a context-based learning approach, children can understand the environmental and cultural values that exist around them. An effective learning process requires a connection between new knowledge and the social context that the child recognizes, so that the learning experience gained becomes more profound and meaningful. The conclusion of the study shows that Early Childhood education in Banyuwangi faces challenges in the low implementation of the local culture-based curriculum, understanding of the Ijen Geopark, and limited facilities. Training, infrastructure upgrades, and collaboration are required for solutions.

Abstract

The learning process in higher education requires contextual textbooks that are relevant and able to meaningfully adapt to the characteristics of students. However, at Musamus University, most teaching materials still rely on general textbooks from outside sources, which insufficiently represent the realities of local education in Papua. This research aims to produce a contextual-based Introduction to Education textbook tailored to the needs of Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD) students at Musamus University. The study employed a Research and Development method with a quantitative approach through a quasi-experimental design. The development process encompassed needs analysis, product design, expert validation, limited trials, revision, and large-scale trials. Validation results indicated an average score of 84.5%, categorised as very good, thereby deeming the product suitable for use. Furthermore, the practicality of the limited trial obtained a student response score of 84% and an activity observation score of 90%. Subsequently, the effectiveness results demonstrated an improvement in pre-test–post-test scores by 21.25 points with an effect size of 2.69. The conclusion affirmed that the contextual-based Introduction to Education textbook is feasible and effective for use by PGSD students at Musamus University. Additionally, students evaluated positively the aspects of clarity, design appeal, integration of local content, and usefulness of practice exercises. Therefore, it is recommended that the study programme adopt this textbook into the official curriculum to promote more contextual learning. Moreover, lecturers should receive specific training to optimise the utilisation of the textbook. Finally, further research may extend the application of the textbook to other study programmes in order to achieve more comprehensive results.

Abstract

The coffee industry in Banyuwangi requires formal legal safeguards to protect its communal value; nevertheless, the incorporation of Osing local wisdom into Geographic Indications (GI) governance remains routinely overlooked, posing risks to the cultural and economic reputation of coffee producers. This study aims to examine the proactive responsiveness of local government, bureaucratic adaptation mechanisms, and the influence of GI certification on farmer reputation. The methodology outlines a descriptive qualitative approach conducted within primary coffee-producing centres, employing purposeful sampling, interpretative narrative analysis, and data triangulation to ensure research validity. The core theoretical basis comprises communal governance responsiveness, common property regimes, and policy integration models. Findings indicate that local authorities have acted pre-emptively in consolidating technical and cultural datasets into bureaucratic processes; these measures have contributed to a 300–400 per cent rise in coffee production and market value whilst reaffirming Osing customary norms as a central pillar of reputational preservation. The study concludes that GI frameworks have upheld communal ownership principles, strengthened bureaucratic responsiveness, and supported sustainable economic trajectories for farmer communities. Key recommendations propose institutional reinforcement of the MPIG, formalisation of customary standard operating procedures, and market promotion rooted in communal narrative strategies.
