Abstract

Seawall is a coastal protection structure to prevent coastal erosion from wave forces. In this research, rubble-mound of stones are used as armor due to the availability of the material in coastal areas and ease of construction. A series of physical model tests with a scale of 1:25 with a variation of four wave heights (H), two wave periods (T), and three different slopes of rubble-mound in front of seawall were performed. Parameters used in the research are stability coefficient (KD),wave steepness (H/gT2), and percentage of damages (Do). The slope variations of rubble-mound were 1:1.15, 1:1.5, and 1:2. The experiments also displayed that the stone stability coefficient (KD) directly proportional with wave steepness (H/gT2). The value of KD for the seawall model with the slope angle of cot = 1.15 is 4.4, cot = 1.5 is 4.28 and cot = 2 is 3.02. From all three variations of slope, the most stable is on the slope 1:2 with the least damage impact on the model. The gentlest slope is the most stable structure.

Abstract

Work fatigue is a condition that causes a decrease in a person's efficiency and performance, so it can increase the occurrence of work accidents, and harm themselves and their companies, due to decreased productivity. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of length of service, nutritional status, and workload on work fatigue in the processing planning department area at PT Citra Palu Minerals. This study uses quantitative research with a Cross-Sectional approach. The sampling technique in this study was determined by incidental sampling with a total sample of 54 respondents. Data collection using questionnaires, measuring instruments finger pulse oximeter, and body mass index calculation. Data analysis used is univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analysis. The results showed workload p value = 0.006 means it has a relationship with fatigue, nutritional status p value = 1,000 and tenure has p value = 0.188 means it does not have a significant relationship to fatigue in workers. The most influential factor on fatigue is workload with an Exp (B) value = 7.500.

Abstract

As one of the important entities in the sea transportation process chain, the port has a vital role as a connection point between regions. East Java Multipurpose Terminal (EJMT) is one of the port terminals which will be used as a connection point for the distribution of goods, especially around East Java Province. The purpose of this paper is to obtain effective and efficient model scenario for maintenance dredging plan at EJMT. The method used in this research is optimization method with a non-linear algorithm approach to determine the minimum cost. The results of this study indicate that the dredging scenario using sediment traps is the most optimum with the total volume of material dredged is 107,671.61 m3. The total duration of the dredging work is around 7 days with total cost around 7.1 billion rupiah or equivalent to 65-70 thousand rupiah per cubic meter
