Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of arm and shoulder muscle power with the speed of the front stroke on the Setia Hati Terate Pencak Silat athlete in Pekanbaru. This research was conducted in the Field of Training in the Pencak Silat Setia Hati Terate in Pekanbaru. Conducted in November 2019 - April 2020. This research is included in the type of correlational research (Correlation Research) which involves collecting data to determine whether there is a relationship and the level of relationship between two or more variables. This study uses a total sampling technique (saturated sample), where the entire population used as a sample is as many as 8 people. From the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that there is a very strong relationship together between the arm and shoulder muscle power to the speed of the front punch of the Setia Hati Terate Pencak Silat athlete in Pekanbaru, where rtable at a significant level (0.05) = 0.707 means r count (0.730)> r table (0.707), which means it contributes normally.Key Words: Jump Rope Training, Slowly, Endurance Tennis Team

Abstract

Development of Teaching Materials and Literature Appreciation Based on Cultural Literacy. This study aims to describe the feasibility and effectiveness of theoretical teaching materials and the appreciation of cultural literacy-based literature. Teaching materials were developed using the 4-D model in the Indonesian Language Education Study Program in the Postgraduate Program of Makassar State University. The results of the study show that the teaching materials developed have been appropriate and effective to be used in theories and literary appreciation. Teaching materials are feasible because they fulfill the feasibility aspects, namely the feasibility of content, the feasibility of presentation, and the feasibility of language. Teaching materials are effectively used because there are significant differences in student learning outcomes before using and after using instructional materials.

Abstract

The ability to conduct item analysis is one of the essential competencies that prospective teachers must have in the context of learning evaluation. However, in reality, many prospective teachers do not have adequate understanding and skills in analyzing the quality of questions quantitatively, especially in measuring the level of difficulty and the index of distinguishing power. This community service activity aims to improve the competence of prospective student teachers through practice-based item analysis training. The method used in this activity is structured training which includes providing conceptual material, practicing manual and digital calculations using Microsoft Excel, discussions, and pretest and posttest evaluations. The results of the training showed a significant increase in participants' understanding of the concept of item analysis and their ability to apply it technically. In addition, participants showed high enthusiasm and stated that the training was very relevant to their needs as future educators. This activity makes an important contribution in preparing students to face professional challenges as teachers who are able to design and evaluate assessments objectively and with quality.
