Abstract

The purpose of this study was to make a preventive maintenance plan for the dry organic fertilizer mixing machine for tobacco farming with the Inspection, Small repair, Medium repair, Overhaul which is called ISMO method. The steps of the study carried out were data collection by observation and literature studies, then component identification, maintenance schedules, maintenance procedure plans and expert validation. The results of the study are the preventive maintenance schedule for the mixer machine consisting of a monthly schedule and an annual schedule using the ISMO method. The total time required for inspection maintenance activities is 240 minutes, small repair is 210 minutes, and medium repair is 20 minutes. Based on the validation results, the maintenance schedule has been feasible to be applied to a dry organic fertilizer mixer machine for tobacco farming and total maintenance time used along a year are inspection 240 minutes, small repair 214 minutes and medium repair as 20 minutes.

Abstract

Bending and rolling service providers in Subang Regency are still minimal, based on observation data in five workshops, there is only one workshop that provides bending and rolling services, in addition, in the manufacture of the bending roll machine, it is necessary to have an electrical installation as the power that drives the drive system and analysis of the calculation of the drive system as planning to determine and install the drive system to be used. This final project is a qualitative descriptive study with the stage of data collection, wiring diagrams and calculations, installation, testing, and analysis.  The results of the study can be concluded that: (1) the electrical installation uses two main components including a 1 phase 1.5 HP electric motor and a 15 A cam starter 3, (2) the analysis of the calculation of the drive system includes the calculation of the power of the motor drive with the results: driving torque = 269 , 66 Nm, Driven torque = 210.66 Nm, calculation of the final rotation ratio of the roller with the results: the final rotation ratio n3 = 39.94 rpm, chain calculation ratio with chain speed results: v = 0.15 m / s, the amount of chain workload = 88 kg, comparison of theoretical calculations with technical calculations (measured tests) which include electric motors: (1400 rpm): (1403 rpm) difference = 3 rpm, speed reducer = (46.6 rpm): (59.93 rpm) difference = 13.33 rpm, main shaft sprocket = (39.94 rpm):(32, 83) difference = 7.11 rpm.

Abstract

Non Destructive Testing is a method of inspection that used in aircraft maintenance. Penetrant test is one type of Non Destructive Test (NDT) which is applied to screw tail rotor drive material. The purpose of this study was to determine the presence of defects, cracks, or other discontinuities without damaging the object being tested or inspected. The design research of applying the penetrant test to screw tail rotor drive material containing ferrous (fe) used the 'D' method, which is by dipping the material into the penetrant liquid with a waiting time of 20 minutes, then cleaning it using water and an emulsifier and drying using an oven. Before the inspection is carried out, the material is sprayed with a developer with a waiting time of 10 minutes, then the material is checked for defects or not. The test results showed that there was no defect in the form of a crack, but found an indication that is included in the non-relevant indication, which is an indication of the shape or design of the material found in the screw section.

Abstract

The depletion of fossil fuels requires alternative energy, one of which alternative energy is bioethanol. Pineapple peel waste has the potential to produce bioethanol because it contains 17.53% carbohydrates and 13.65% sugar which is quite high. The purpose of this study was to produce bioethanol from pineapple peels with the addition of NPK fertilizer as nutrition. The method used is to conduct experiments with the stages: extraction, saccharification, fermentation, distillation, analysis and conclusions. The results obtained were that the highest bioethanol content was obtained in the addition of 20 grams of NPK fertilizer, namely 29.60%.

Abstract

     Abstract. The pulper coffee machine technology is one of the tools for peeling cericoffee beans which is applied at UKM Mukti Raharja to increase its coffee production capacity. Meanwhile, a website-based online sales application with the link: http://kopicanggah.com/ is one of the technologies applied to increase the sales of UKM. The purpose of this service program is to increase production capacity and increase sales. The service methods carried out consist of identification of UKM needs, website design/design and pulper coffee machines and training modules, training operational assistance and implementation of pulper coffee machines and website-based online sales applications, service program outputs. The results obtained, namely, the trial application of the pulper coffee machine obtained a machine capacity of 360 kg/hour, a total power of 1500 Watts, and a motor power of 1.5 hp. The results of the application website-based online sales were 16 transactions over 22 days with a total transaction of Rp. 3,530,000 or an increase in sales as 41% from the previous month's income.             Abstrak. Teknologi mesin pulper kopi merupakan salah satu alat untuk mengupas biji kopi ceriyang diterapkan di UKM Mukti Raharja untuk meningkatkan kapasitas produksi kopinya. Sedangkan aplikasi penjualan online berbasis website dengan link: http://kopicanggah.com/ merupakan salah satu teknologi yang diterapkan untuk meningkatkan omset penjualan UKM. Tujuan program pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kapasitas produksi dan meningkatkan omset penjualan dari UKM. Metode pengabdian yang dilakukan terdiri dari: identifikasi kebutuhan UKM, desain/perancangan website dan mesin pulper kopi serta modul pelatihannya, pendampingan operasional pelatihan dan implementasi mesin pulper kopi dan aplikasi penjualan online berbasis website, output program pengabdian. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu uji coba pengaplikasian mesin pulper kopi diperoleh kapasitas mesin sebesar 360 kg/jam, daya total 1500 Watt dan daya motor 1,5 hp. Hasil pengaplikasian penjualan online berbasis website yaitu diperoleh 16 transaksi selama 22 hari dengan total transaksi sebesar Rp. 3.530.000 atau mengalami peningkatan omset sebesar 41% dari pendapatan bulan sebelumnya.

Abstract

Although simple, removing the front fork telescopic (TFF) seal on a motorcycle without special service tools (SST) can cause work accidents for mechanics and loss for consumers and workshops. Therefore, product development research has been carried out to design a seal remover for TFF. Then, a TRL measurement using Techno-meter was done on the prototype that has been developed. A quick measurement by Techno-meter shows that the prototype has reached level 6 (intermediate), where the prototype has been demonstrated/tested in a relevant environment. In conclusion, through continued work (reviewing products, improvising, and testing prototypes on a larger scale), this prototype promises to be mass-produced as downstream of research products to the market.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa pembuatan alat, pelatihan diversifikasi dan pelatihan manajemen untuk petani buah rambutan di Desa Ciruluk, Kabupaten Subang, Provinsi Jawa Barat. Tanggal 12 Februari – 30 Juli 2020. Hasil Pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah adanya alat yang membantu proses pemanen buah rambutan, pelatihan pembuatan olahan buah rambutan dan pembentukan kelompok usaha bersama. Abstract

One of the most common damages to motorcycles is damage to the seals on the motorcycle suspension, which results in a large amount of oil leakage. To repair the damage a seal removal tool is needed which functions as a Special Service Tool (SST) which is often used in motorcycle workshops. The variety of types and brands of motorcycles, causing motorcycle workshops must have complete equipment, according to the motorcycles brand that is repaired, this results in the expenditure of excess money, especially in the supply of seal removal devices according to the motorcycle brand. The purpose of this research is to create a flexible Telescopic Fork front suspension seal release device, which can be used for all types of motorcycle brands. The method used in this research is tool design, tool manufacturing process, and testing the application of seal removal tools. It is evidenced from the results of the usage test that the resulting seal removal tool can be used for all types of motorcycle brands, this tool can shorten the processing time, and also does not cause new damage to the repaired components. However, it is necessary to examine the application of occupational safety and health to prevent work accidents in the process of making this seal removal device.

Abstract

This study aims to design and test an automatic fish feeder (AFF) controlled by a microcontroller with an electricity supply from a solar cell. To build a reliable and accurate system, input data is collected for design, followed by system development, feasibility analysis, and performance testing. The test results show that AFF works according to the settings of the microcontroller, where the servo motor can open and close the feed channel periodically, three times a day. The feeding schedule is set at 07.00, 12.00, and 16.00. In addition, fundamental indicators including feed conversion ratio (FCR) and feed efficiency (FE) are showing positive results. Through the application of AFF which replaces manual feeding, the FCR is obtained at 1.15 from the initial value of 1.44. Meanwhile, FE increased from 69.4% to 86.8%. Technically, AFF is suitable for use by tilapia and carp farmers.

Abstract

The process of stripping the soybean epidermis on tempe producers still uses the traditional method, namely by trampling the soybeans in the container until peeled. This causes the soybean to be crushed or split into two because the pressure exerted is unstable and unhygienic, need more time and effort. The aim of the study was to design a soybean epidermis peeler machine. The stages of the research were assessment, design, and validation design. The results of the research are machine designs with dimensions of length 505 mm, width 391 mm and height 815 mm with conventional pulley drives with crank manual working system and friction with capacity of 20 Kg/hour. The application of the machine soybean husk remover makes less effort is used and separation process of the skin from the soybean can be done more quickly so that it can increase production capacity.
