Abstract

This study was conducted to examine activity of medaka (Oryzias latipes) â-actin promoter (mBP) in common carp(Cyprinus carpio) as the first step towards development of common carp transgenic in country. Gene constructpmBP-hrGFP that consists of mBA promoter and humanized Renilla reniformis green fluorescent protein gene(hrGFP) was injected into cytoplasm of one cell stage of common carp by using microinjector. PmBP-hrGFPconcentration used for microinjection was 50 μg/mL aquabides. Parameters observed were survival rate of embryo(SRe), hatching rate (HR) and expression of hrGFP gene. SRe was calculated before eggs hacthed, while hatchingrate (HR) was after all of eggs hatched. The activity of mBA promoter was analyzed by observation of hrGFP genetransient expression using a fluorescence microscope. The results of experiment showed that SRe (87,5%) andHR (79.2%) of control was respectevily higher than that of injected treatment (75.0% & 61.7%). Expression of hrGFPwas observed firstly at blastula (12 hours after fertilization) to 1-day-old larval stages (24 hours after hatching)with higher gene expression at blastula to late gastrula stages. Percentage of micronjected larvae expressinghrGFP at 6 hours after hatching reached 71.6 ± 6.7%. Conclusion was that mBA promoter could drove hrGFPexpression in common carp, hence it can be used to produce common carp transgenic by changing hrGFP withgenes correlated with important traits in aquaculture.

Abstract

Model hubungan jumlah pakan yang diberikan (x) dan biomassa yang dihasilkan (y) berupa regresi kuadratik y = 0.00006x2 + 1.3506x + 7.3864 (R2 = 0.9801) sehingga biomassa maksimum tercapai pada 7 593 kg dengan pemberian pakan sebanyak 11 255 kg atau FCR sebesar 1.48.Kata kunci: sistem intensif, udang, pakan, kualitas air, biomassa, tambak.ABSTRACTA study on feed utilization, and the suitability of water quality and the estimation of vaname shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) growth and production of an intensive system was conducted in Pelabuan Ratu, West Java during Mei-Agustus. The research was aim at evaluating feeding practices, and suitability of its water quality obtained. This study was based on observations six ponds during one growout period (100 days) with causal design and ex post-facto method to obtain data on water quality and production. The result showed that degradation of water quality occurred not until the 40th day of cultivation, and progressively decreased up to the end of the growout period. The high level of feed utilization produced suitable water quality, and high shrimp growth rates, thus, yielding high shrimp biomass. Feed-shrimp biomass relationship could be expressed by the following quadratic regression: y = 0.00006x2 + 1.3506x + 7.3864 (R2 = 0.9801), from which the maximum shrimp biomass was reached at 7 593 kg on 11 255 kg feed, giving a feed conversion ratio of 1.48.Keywords: intensive system, shrimp, feed, water quality, biomass, tambak.

Abstract

Company X, a feed manufacturer, faced a significant challenge related to a high product rejection rate of 10%. This study aimed to identify the root causes of the problem and implement lean manufacturing-based solutions to reduce waste. Through fishbone and Pareto analysis, the study revealed that human errors and non-standard measuring instruments were the primary contributors to the issue. The PDCA cycle was utilized as a framework for implementing solutions. The results demonstrated that the company reduced the product rejection rate by improving employee adherence to production procedures and conducting regular calibrations of measuring instruments. This research highlights the importance of lean manufacturing approaches in optimizing production processes and enhancing product quality in the feed industry.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the CAMELS ratio on the financial profitability of PT. Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk. This research uses CAMELS ratios, namely Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non Performing Loans (NPL), Interest Expenses to Total Loans (IETTL), Net Interest Margin (NIM), Operational Costs to Operating Income (BOPO), Loan to Deposit Ratio ( LDR) and Net Open Position (PDN) on financial profitability as measured using Return On Assets (ROA) and Return On Equity (ROE). The research sample was selected using purposive sampling. The statistical test tool is SPSS 26 which is carried out using the classic assumption test and multiple linear regression analysis. The research results show that Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Interest Expense to Total Loan (IETTL), Net Interest Margin (NIM), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) have a positive effect on Return on Assets (ROA). Non-Performing Loans (NPL), Operational Costs to Operating Income (BOPO), Net Open Position (PDN) have a significant and negative effect on Return on Assets (ROA). Meanwhile, Interest Expense on Total Loans (IETTL), Net Interest Margin (NIM) have a positive effect on Return on Assets (ROA). Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non-Performing Loans (NPL), Operational Costs to Operating Income (BOPO), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) and Net Open Position (PDN) have a negative effect on Return on Assets (ROE).

Abstract

The agricultural sector is one of the crucial sectors in Indonesia, which is the primary source of food and economic growth. The role of this sector can still be increased if appropriately managed. In today's international trade, sustainability is one of the most important things to maintain, embodied in the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) certification. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policies can be used as one of the strategies carried out by companies in community empowerment. The Asset-Based Community Development approach can create an effective and sustainable program. This is done with the stages of discovery, dream, design, define, and compare. As a result, all assets owned are mapped for human, financial, social, physical, and natural assets. The targets expected by the farmer group community are to build the commitment and independence of farmer groups in program sustainability, increase the income of independent smallholders who have obtained RSPO certificates, and increase the number of independent smallholders certified each year. The strategy is prepared based on the derivatives of the expected targets for each farmer group actor, Unilever, academics, and local government.
