Abstract

The selection of appropriate research methods is very important in the process of research. Research that want to find the quantitative truth can use quantitative research methods, such as experimental, survey, and ex post facto design. Research that want to describe a phenomenon by using expressions or descriptions can use qualitative research methods, such as action research, phenomenology, and case study. Research that want to make a product can use research and development methods. Research that would like to get the data in the form of quantitative and qualitative at once in one study can use mixed methods research. Research methodology course is a course that substantially in the development of the quality of research students. Therefore, the learning on research methodology courses should emphasize on contextual learning.

Abstract

Various problems exist when the implementation of the curriculum of 2013. There is a mismatch between the content of the book with material and cognitive development of the students. This research is The Analysis of the Fifth Grade Book SD/MI of the Curriculum 2013 on the Theme Kerukunan dalam Bermasyarakat. The purpose of this study is to describe how the suitability of the content, the presentation and the language on the fifth grade book of the theme kerukunan dalam bermasyarakat. The methods used in this research is descriptive qualitative research methods. Type a descriptive qualitative research used in this study is the analysis of contents or document. The results showed that seen from the aspect of the material, there is still a mismatch between the activities with the theme, the development of cognitive students and the steps of scientific approach. Seen from the presentation is good, coherently, complete with a themes macth with daily life. But the activities must more contextual. Seen of the language, there are several paragraphs that are not true because between paragraphs 1 and 2 not macth with the context of the talks. The paragraph is coherent and effective, use of the language structure is macth with the child language development.

Abstract

Teacher daily observation  show that students often do rowdy, seeking attention with do the bad something  and difficult to control is a child of the broken home family. It is then encourage to conduct research with the objectives to undertake a deeper case study on the influence of broken home family against the moral and psychosocial development of grade V students of SDN 1 Sumberbaru. The study used a qualitative approach with case study design. Participants in this study were chosen with purposive samples, so that two students from the fifth grade of SDN 1 Sumberbaru were M.J. S and M.K.L. The data analysis techniques use thematic analysis. Research results describe that  broken home family have influenced on moral and psychosocial development of participants. It can be described as bad moral behavior that arises: make mistakes and do not want to apologize; often do not obey the school order; and seek attention by making noise during lesson hours. The behavior of his psychosocial development is the following: not the spirit of learning a new experience; the child is not confident; and often compare herself with friends. Abstrak ;Hasil observasi harian guru menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang sering berbuat gaduh, suka mencari perhatian dengan berbuat buruk dan sulit dikontrol merupakan anak dari keluarga broken home. Hal tersebut kemudian mendorong untuk melaksanakan penelitian dengan tujuan untuk melakukan sebuah studi kasus yang mengkaji lebih dalam pengaruh keluarga broken home terhadap perkembangan moral dan psikososial siswa kelas V SDN 1 Sumberbaru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini dipilih dengan purposive sample sehingga diperoleh dua siswa kelas V SDN 1 Sumberbaru yaitu M.J.S dan M.K.L. Adapun teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis tematik.  Hasil penelitian menggambarkan bahwa ada pengaruh keluarga broken home terhadap perkembangan moral dan psikososial partisipan. Dapat dijabarkan perilaku moral buruk yang muncul yaitu: membuat kesalahan dan tidak mau minta maaf; sering tidak mentaati tata tertib sekolah; dan mencari perhatian dengan membuat kegaduhan saat jam pelajaran. Adapun perilaku yang menunjukkan terhambatnya perkembangan psikososialnya sebagai berikut: tidak semangat mempelajari pengalaman baru; anak tidak percaya diri; dan sering membandingkan dirinya dengan teman.
