Abstract

This research aims to provide solutions in flood disaster countermeasure in Medan based on community empowerment. The research method used was descriptive qualitative research with a literature study approach and forum group discussion. Empowerment in this study consisted of aspects of knowledge and appreciation of the environment, as well as community adherence to environmental-related regulations. The results of this study are: 1) Community knowledge about the environment can be improved by socialization activities, socialization activities are the beginning to raise environmental awareness 2) Knowledge is not enough without appreciation, then community assistance activities are carried out by activating tourism, biopori, and utilization waste so that it has economic value; and 3) Enforcement of the law on the environment must be strictly enforced in order to create a deterrent effect for the community in violation.

Abstract

Kuliah kerja nyata (KKN) ialah suatu bentuk kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa melalui pendakatan lintas keilmuan yang di dapat selama duduk di bangku perkuliahan. Kuliah kerja nyata (KKN) ini dilakukan di desa sidodadi yang terhitung dari tanggal 18 juli 2022 sampai dengan 18 agustus 2022, adapun tujuan dari kelompok KKN-106 ini ialah membentuk masyarakat yang bermartabat serta menjadikan desa sidodadi menjadi lebih religious. Pengabdian ini kami lakukan melalui kegiatan mengajar di SD dan Paud, membuat posko – posko les di desa untuk meningkatkan pendidikan didesa sidodadi, membuat event – event islami, membantu kegiatan UMKM, ikut partisipasi dalam membantu masyarakat di desa sidodadi dalam bergotong royong, serta mengikuti kegiatan perwiridan yang ada di Desa Sidodadi.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out the da'i's communication techniques in preventing the promiscuity of Muslim youth in the Sijambi sub-district, Tanjungbalai city. This research uses descriptive qualitative research with observation techniques, interviews, and document review studies. The location of this research was carried out in the Sijambi sub-district, Datuk Bandar sub-district, Tanjungbalai city, North Sumatra province with four informants. In this study, it can be concluded that the causes of promiscuity in the Sijambi sub-district are lack of parental attention, having a family that is not harmonious, getting influence from peers, and the influence of social media. Several communication techniques used by preachers to prevent promiscuity are persuasive communication techniques and interpersonal communication such as sharing, venting, or preaching. The obstacle of preachers in spreading preaching about promiscuity in the Sijambi sub-district of Tanjungbalai city is that there are parents who are overprotective, teenagers are less enthusiastic, preachers deliver boring material, and there is often competition between preachers. The solution to this problem is to provide direction to parents, preach with slang or current words, and strengthen relationships between preachers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran mengenai pola komunikasi yang terjadi sehinggaterbentuknya hubungan yang harmonis antar etnis. Dalam penelitian ini penyusun menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif di mana pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan observasi dengan datang langsung ke komplek cemara asri serta mengumpulkan data dokumentasi yang didapat dari beberapa informan. Tujuan penelitian ini diantaranya adalah mengetahui proses komunikasi kelompok antara etnis Tionghoa dengan Umat islam maupun masyarakat sekitar dalam membangun hubungan sosial. Dari hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa proses komunikasi yang dibangun oleh kedua kelompok di Kawasan komplek cemara asri berjalan dengan baik, tidak ada permasalahan yang terjadi diantara mereka karena sikap toleransi yang tinggi diterapkan dari mereka, mengingat Kembali manusia adalah makhluk sosial, maka manusia hidup tidak sendirian, melainkan manusia hidup dengan populasi atau sekumpulan, dari sebuah perkumpulan tersebut maka disebutlah dengan sosial yakni mengenali satu sama lain, memahami lingkungan sekitar serta juga menghargai orang sekitar. Sebaiknya pola komunikasi kelompok etnis tionghoa dengan umat islam antar umat beragama ini, dapat diterapkan sebagai salah satu contoh masyarakat yang meskipun berbeda keyakinan tetap saling berinteraksi satu sama lainnya dalam membangun hubungan yang baik karena manusia adalah makhluk sosial.

Abstract

This research aims to get a real picture of the implementation of persuasive communication by the Al Washliyah Student Association in improving the quality of prayer services for Al Washliyah Private Madrasah Aliyah students, Kualuh Hulu district, North Labuhan Batu district, seen from the persuasive communication techniques used by the Al Washliyah Student Association in the communication process. to private Madrasah Aliyah Al Washliyah students and the application of persuasive communication techniques. This research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The research subject is the al Washliyah student association consisting of the chairman, secretary and members. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews. The analysis technique used in this research is a descriptive analysis model which consists of data collection, organizing data, data management, data verification and interpretation, conclusions. ` Then the data validity technique used is method and source triangulation technique. Based on the research that has been carried out, the results obtained are: 1) The persuasive communication techniques used by the Al Washliyah Student Association in improving prayer services for Madrasah Aliyah Al Washliyah students are association techniques, integration techniques, arrangement techniques, and red herring techniques. 2) the application of persuasive communication techniques is successfully carried out through planned programs such as routine recitation programs, cadre formation programs.

Abstract

Instagram has become a strategic platform for preachers to reach a wider audience. One of the da'wah influencers on Instagram media is @Hawaariyyun, he is famous for his preaching content in spreading Islam on Instagram social media. However, during competition, da'wah needs to be packaged persuasively to attract attention and interest and be accepted by the audience. This article analyzes the persuasive da'wah strategy used by the Instagram account @Hawaariyyun using four methods: Association, Integration, Pay-off, and Icing. This research aims to identify and implement these methods in the content of da'wah and their influence on mad'u. This research shows that Hawaariyyun effectively uses this method to build emotional connections, increase credibility, and motivate the audience to accept the da'wah message.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of family social conditions on the religious motivation of BPI Stambuk 2019 students. Social family conditions include factors such as inherited religious practices, religious communication, religious support, role models, and the level of religious conflict in the family. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with 15 students from various BPI Stambuk 2019 student study programs. The results showed that family social conditions had a significant influence on students' religious motivation. Inherited religious practices, open religious communication, religious support, and role models in the family are positively related to high levels of religious motivation in college students. However, the level of religious conflict in the family can affect students' religious motivation. This research provides a deeper understanding of how family social conditions affect students' religious motivation, so that the role of the family in providing support and a conducive environment in religious matters becomes increasingly important.
