Abstract

This research aimed to investigate the implementation of physical education, sport and health learning through sports game in building primary students’ characters. The method employed in this research is qualitative descriptive. The subjects of this research were five graders and physical education teachers at SDN 1 Awirarangan, SDN 2 Awirarangan, SDN 1 Karangtawang, and SDN 2 Karangtawang, Kuningan, West Java. The data was taken interactively and continuously. The main instruments of this research were observation, interview and documentations. The data were analyzed in accordance with the frameworks proposed by Miles and Huberman which were data collection, data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusion and verification. The result showed that learning physical education through sports game is a media that can be used to build students’ characters. Through sports game, someone could gain self-control and work together very well. Values like responsible, honest, brave, cooperative, confident, tolerant, mutual respect, religious, polite, wisely accept victory and defeat could be gained through the implementation of sports game. To sum up, the implementation of physical education through sports game is an alternative media to build primary students’ characters.Key words: Physical education, Sports game, Character education

Abstract

Pada kajian penelitian terdahulu, terdapat muatan pendidikan karakter dalam setiap permainan tradisional. Guru yang mengajarkan Gobak Sodor dan Bentengan, dua permainan tradisional yang melatih kemampuan motorik, sering tidak memperhatikan nilai-nilai yang terkandung didalamnya. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai karakter siswa yang dapat terbentuk melalui kedua permainan tradisional tersebut. Sementara, pembelajaran Penjasorkes dan permainan tradisional merupakan konsep yang beriringan dan dapat membentuk karakter yang baik bagi siswa sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas V SD dan guru Penjasorkes di SDN 3 Awirarangan, SDN 2 Kuningan, dan SDN 10 Kuningan. Peneliti sebagai human instrument menggunakan lembar observasi, pedoman wawancara, dan dokumentasi dalam pengumpulan data. Analisis dilakukan dengan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Pelaksanaan olahraga permainan tradisional dalam pembelajaran Penjasorkes berbasis karakter yang dilaksanakan di SDN 3 Awirarangan, SDN 2 Kuningan, dan SDN 10 Kuningan dapat memunculkan nilai-nilai karakter siswa seperti kerjasama, percaya diri, jujur, tanggung jawab, toleransi, saling menghargai, dan disiplin. Peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa pelaksanaan permainan tradisional dalam pembelajaran Penjasorkes merupakan salah satu sarana alternatif yang dapat membentuk karakter siswa sekolah dasar.Kata Kunci: permainan tradisional; penjasorkes; pendidikan karakter

Abstract

Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan Penguatan Kader Kesehatan Desa Melalui Sosialisasi Olahraga Kesehatan Bagi Masyarakat dalam Upaya Membentuk Masyarakat Sehat dan Mandiri Di Desa Cihaur Kecamatan Maja Kabupaten Majalengka. Sasaran penguatan kader kesehatan desa adalah ingin membentuk kader kesehatan yang mempunyai banyak kompetensi untuk memberikan olahraga promotif yang bisa bermanfaat bagi masyarakat untuk mencegah berbagai penyakit hipokinetik, masyarakat Desa Cihaur dalam membentuk masyarakat yang sehat dan mandiri, serta partisipasinya dalam kegiatan olahraga ditinjau dari unsur intrinsik dan ekstrinsik. dengan melalui sosialisasi olahraga kesehatan bagi masyarakat. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masayarakat (PkM) dilakukan dengan metode pendekatan workshop, meliputi: (1) Metode ceramah, (2) Metode Tanya Jawab, (3) Metode diskusi, (4) Metode Penugasan dan pendampingan sosialisasi pentingnya olahraga kesehatan bagi masyarakat. Hasil dari Penguatan Kader Kesehatan Desa Melalui Sosialisasi Olahraga Kesehatan Bagi Masyarakat Dalam Upaya Membentuk Masyarakat Sehat Dan Mandiri Di Desa Cihaur Kecamatan Maja Kabupaten Majalengka,  yaitu : (1) Wawasan dan motivasi para Kader Kesehatan Desa tentang pentingnya Olahraga Kesehatan Bagi Masyarakat Dalam Upaya Membentuk Masyarakat Sehat Dan Mandiri Di Desa Cihaur Kecamatan Maja Kabupaten Majalengka lebih meningkat. (2) Adanya peningkatan kualitas hidup sehat, terciptanya masyarakat Desa Cihaur yang sehat dan mandiri.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability to kinesthetic intelligence in students, because students are not confident, low cognitive skills and active and creative thinking patterns are still low. Considering how important kinesthetic intelligence is in elementary school students. This researcher aims to  describes the implementation of cheerful gymnastics to improve kinesthetic intelligence in students. This research method used is pre-eksperimental with a design one group pretest posttest design with a class IV of 12 students. Collecting data used in this study was a test instrument work method. Based on the results of the average score of students in the pretest, which was 55,5 and the average score of the posttest, which was 81,75 it showed that the average score of the student was different, including the average score of the pretest before being given treatment and the average score of the posttest after being given treatment. This is proven through the t test stating that the calculation (10,39) > ttabel  (2,074) at a significant level of 5% then HO is rejected and H1 is accepted. And for the N-gain score test (0,6) the percent N-gain (60%) is in the medium category. Thus, it can be concluded that there an cheerful gymnastics is effective in increasing kinesthetic intelligence in grade IV students in SD Negeri 11 Kuningan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of wayang media on the skills of listening to children's stories in class II SD Negeri 3 Lengkong. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 3 Lengkong from April to May 2023. The research method used in this study was a quasi-experimental design with a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Sampling was carried out using purposive sampling technique. The research sample for class B (experimental class) was a number of students. The instrument used in this research is an essay test. The data analysis technique used in this study was the normality test using the Kolmogrov-Smirnov test, homogeneity test using One Way Anova. Then proceed with testing the hypothesis using the T-test. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of the use of wayang media on the skills of listening to children's stories in class II elementary school students. This is indicated by the results of statistical testing using the t test on the final test data (posttest) and it is known that Tcount 8.98 Ttable 1.69913, the hypothesis is accepted, meaning that there are differences in listening ability between classes using wayang media and classes using picture media , Based on the results of the N-Gain Test it is known that the results of the experimental class test before being given the wayang media treatment (Pretest) obtained an average value of 50.31. While the test results after being given the wayang treatment (posttest) was 83.75. Then obtain an N-Gain result of 0.71, then in accordance with the N-Gain criteria these results can be expressed as high criteria. While the test results in the control class which were carried out before using media images (pretest) obtained a value of 44. After being given the treatment it became 78. And obtained an N-Gain result of 0.64, according to the N-Gain criteria the result can be stated in the medium criteria. The conclusion is that there is a difference after it is proven in the N-Gain test. The experimental class with wayang treatment experienced a high increase compared to the control class which used image media.Keywords: Listening, quasi-experimental, instructional media, Wayang.
