Abstract

This research aimed to investigate the implementation of physical education, sport and health learning through sports game in building primary students’ characters. The method employed in this research is qualitative descriptive. The subjects of this research were five graders and physical education teachers at SDN 1 Awirarangan, SDN 2 Awirarangan, SDN 1 Karangtawang, and SDN 2 Karangtawang, Kuningan, West Java. The data was taken interactively and continuously. The main instruments of this research were observation, interview and documentations. The data were analyzed in accordance with the frameworks proposed by Miles and Huberman which were data collection, data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusion and verification. The result showed that learning physical education through sports game is a media that can be used to build students’ characters. Through sports game, someone could gain self-control and work together very well. Values like responsible, honest, brave, cooperative, confident, tolerant, mutual respect, religious, polite, wisely accept victory and defeat could be gained through the implementation of sports game. To sum up, the implementation of physical education through sports game is an alternative media to build primary students’ characters.Key words: Physical education, Sports game, Character education

Abstract

The development of information and communication technologies have a major impact in many areas of life, one of which is education. Learning use the media, is a strategy favored by students, particularly those related to technology. Because no denying that the interest of students to current technologies is huge. It can be seen from the children of school age, who loss of learning time because they are pre occupied with the world of technology, such as playing games, mobile phones and computers. Indonesian Internet Service Provider Association (APJII) conducted a survey of online game players active in Indonesia, the result is there are about 6 million online game players. This proves that Indonesian children have an interest in the game.  The change of curriculum in Indonesia from 2006 curriculum (Curriculum Education Unit) into a curriculum 2013, providing a wide range of implications for the learning process, one of which is the subject of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). In curriculum 2013, ICT subjects be erased, it’s means not stand alone but rather merged or combined with other subjects. In elementary school curriculum needs  subjects that are combined with computer lessons (Guha &Leonard, 2002). Therefore, teachers must be able to create methods that can capitalize on technology such as computer media in the learning process.Keywords: Computer, Interactive multimedia games model, Social Studies, Elementary school , and Understanding of concepts.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the influence of cooperative model of game tournment team (TGT) type to cross cultural skill in IPS learning in fourth grade of SD Negeri Talaga kulon I. The method used in this research is pre experiment with one group pretest-posttest research design with instrument is a checklist observation system guidance. The result of this research is TGT type co-operative model have an effect on the improvement of cross cultural skills of elementary school students of Talaga Kulon I. This is seen from the comparison of pretest and posttest score and statistical test showing improvement especially on indicators "Harnessing social and cultural differences to work together effectively".

Abstract

In today's era, teachers are required to have more abilities related to the use of technology as a tool in writing scientific papers. This is because there are still a lot of teachers who are still confused in finding reference applications in writing scientific papers. One application that is used to make it easier for teachers to write scientific papers, especially in managing references is the Zotero application. The purpose of this program of activity is to provide training and guidance for teachers who are required to write scientific papers as demand for self-quality improvement and learning in order to increase class in teaching positions. The method used in this Community Service is through the workshop approach method, lectures, questions and answers, and guidance on the use of the application, with the guidance process is expected to provide opportunities for teachers according to the training theme. This community service activity can provide direct benefits to partners in increasing understanding and skills related to reference management applications in the preparation of scientific papers in the form of CAR, indicators of the success of community service activities marked by the enthusiasm of the teachers in participating in training activities.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan Penguatan Kader Kesehatan Desa Melalui Sosialisasi Olahraga Kesehatan Bagi Masyarakat dalam Upaya Membentuk Masyarakat Sehat dan Mandiri Di Desa Cihaur Kecamatan Maja Kabupaten Majalengka. Sasaran penguatan kader kesehatan desa adalah ingin membentuk kader kesehatan yang mempunyai banyak kompetensi untuk memberikan olahraga promotif yang bisa bermanfaat bagi masyarakat untuk mencegah berbagai penyakit hipokinetik, masyarakat Desa Cihaur dalam membentuk masyarakat yang sehat dan mandiri, serta partisipasinya dalam kegiatan olahraga ditinjau dari unsur intrinsik dan ekstrinsik. dengan melalui sosialisasi olahraga kesehatan bagi masyarakat. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masayarakat (PkM) dilakukan dengan metode pendekatan workshop, meliputi: (1) Metode ceramah, (2) Metode Tanya Jawab, (3) Metode diskusi, (4) Metode Penugasan dan pendampingan sosialisasi pentingnya olahraga kesehatan bagi masyarakat. Hasil dari Penguatan Kader Kesehatan Desa Melalui Sosialisasi Olahraga Kesehatan Bagi Masyarakat Dalam Upaya Membentuk Masyarakat Sehat Dan Mandiri Di Desa Cihaur Kecamatan Maja Kabupaten Majalengka,  yaitu : (1) Wawasan dan motivasi para Kader Kesehatan Desa tentang pentingnya Olahraga Kesehatan Bagi Masyarakat Dalam Upaya Membentuk Masyarakat Sehat Dan Mandiri Di Desa Cihaur Kecamatan Maja Kabupaten Majalengka lebih meningkat. (2) Adanya peningkatan kualitas hidup sehat, terciptanya masyarakat Desa Cihaur yang sehat dan mandiri.

Abstract

This research is motivated by high-level thinking skills that must be achieved so that the learning process can produce students who are competent in their fields. Therefore, students need to be familiarized with learning activities that can train and improve students' higher order thinking skills. The method used is Content Analysis with a qualitative approach. Based on the results of the study, it was found that 56% of HOTS content in all of the material in this book, with details of 50% C4 (Analyzing), 2% C5 (Evaluating), 4% C6 (Creating), and 44% of material not including HOTS content, so it can be concluded HOTS content of all material in the mathematics textbook Erlangga straight point series (ESPS) class 5 is included in the category (C Medium). Furthermore, the research results obtained 50% HOTS content in all examples of this book's questions, with details of 47% C4 (Analyzing), 1% C5 (Evaluating), 2% C6 (Creating), and 50% of sample questions not including HOTS content, so It can be concluded that the HOTS content of all sample questions in the Erlangga Straight Point Series (ESPS) mathematics textbook for class V belongs to the category (C Medium). Furthermore, the results of the study obtained that 26% of HOTS content in all practice questions in this book, with details of 19% C4 (Analyzing), 1% C5 (Evaluating), 6% C6 (Creating), and 74% of practice questions are not included in HOTS content, so that It can be concluded that the HOTS content of all practice questions in the Erlangga Straight Point Series (ESPS) mathematics textbook for class V belongs to the category (E Very Low).

Abstract

 The rapid development of technology and the high needs of society demand a better curriculum reorientation. The independent curriculum is the answer to human needs in the world of education. The implementation of the independent curriculum in early 2022 has a positive impact on the development of the world of education because it answers the community's need for high-quality education. However, in its implementation, the independent curriculum needs acceleration in its implementation, currently, only the driving school facilitators are the spearhead of the independent curriculum socialization activities. With this, the school still feels confused about implementing the independent curriculum. The purpose of this activity program is to provide training and mentoring for teachers who are required to implement an independent curriculum in order to improve the quality of education in elementary schools. The method used in this Community Service is through a workshop, lecture, question and answer approach, and mentoring in implementing the independent curriculum, with the mentoring process expected to provide opportunities for teachers according to the training theme. This community service activity can provide direct benefits to partners in improving understanding and skills related to independent curriculum implementation activities, indicators of the success of community service activities are marked by the enthusiasm of the teachers in participating in training activities.

Abstract

Ecotourism development through increasing the ability of outbound facilitators is to provide education in improving welfare around ecotourism areas, increasing community productivity in order to form independent villages, and increasing village original income (PAD) through the ecotourism sector. Community Service Activities (PKM) are carried out using an outdoor activity approach, including: (1) Lecture Method, (2) Question and Answer Method, (3) Field Introduction, (4) Field practice and mentoring, and (5) Reflection. The results of Ecotourism Development Through Improving the Capability of Outbound Facilitators in Cihaur Village, Maja District, Majalengka Regency, namely: (1) The insight, knowledge, experience and motivation of outbound facilitators at tourist attractions in developing ecotourism in Cihaur village is increasing.
