Abstract

In this work, CdS and ZnS semiconducting colloid nanoparticles coated with organic shell, containing either SO−3 or NH+ 2 groups, were deposited as thin films using the technique of electrostatic self-assembly. The films produced were characterized with UV-vis spectroscopy - for optical properties; mercury probe - for electrical characterisation; and photon counter - for electroluminescence study. UV-vis spectra show a substantial blue shift of the main absorption band of both CdS and ZnS, either in the form of solutions or films, with respect tothe bulk materials. The calculation of nanoparticles’ radii yields the value of about 1.8 nm for both CdS and ZnS. Current-voltage (I-V) and capacitance-frequency (C-f) measurements of polyelectrolyte/nanoparticles (CdS or ZnS) films suggest the tunnelling behaviour in the films while capacitance- voltage (C-V) and conductancevoltage (G-V) measurements suggest that these nanoparticles are conductive. The electroluminescence was detected in sandwich structures of (PAH/CdS/PAH)N using a photon counting detector, but not in the case of ZnS films.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of producing Instagram content as an Authentic Problem-based science learning media to improve scientific literacy of junior high school students. This research is a development research, where the research and development steps are carried out using the ADDIE model. The feasibility of the development carried out is seen from its practicality and effectiveness. Where the average value of RPP implementation for 5 meetings is 3.84 in the very good category with a reliability of 0.69 in the high category. Then the scientific literacy obtained an N-gain score of 0.60 in the medium category. Then after carrying out the normality test and homogeneity test, the t test for scientific literacy was continued with the results of sig. pretest of 0,596 and sig. posttest of 0.949. So Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So the conclusion is that there is a significant difference in the value of the treatment with media content and without media content.Keywords: instagram, authentic problem, scientific literacy. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan menghasilkan konten instagram sebagai media pembelajaran IPA berbasis Authentic Problem untuk meningkatkan literasi sains peserta didik SMP. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan, dimana langkah-langkah penelitian dan pengembangan yang dilakukan menggunakan model ADDIE kelayakan pengembangan yang dilakukan dilihat dari kepraktisan dan keefektivan. Dimana nilai rerata keterlaksanaan RPP selama 5 pertemuan sebesar 3,84 berkategori sangat baik dengan reliabilitas sebesar 0,69 berkategori tinggi. Kemudian pada literasi sains diperoleh skor N-gain sebesar 0,60 dengan kategori sedang.Lalu setelah melakukan uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas maka dilanjutkan uji t untuk literasi sains dengan hasil sig. pretest sebesar 0,596 dan sig. posttest sebesar 0,949. Maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Jadi kesimpulannya terdapat perbedaan nilai yang signifikan terhadap perlakuan dengan konten media dan tanpa konten media.Kata kunci: instagram, authentic problem, literasi sains.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the validity of the authentic learning-based science e-module to improve the critical thinking skills of junior high school students. This research is part of development research which is part of the ASSURE model which assesses the feasibility of development from the aspect of validity. The instrument for retrieving the data used was in the form of an e-module validation sheet. Based on the results obtained from the validation of the authentic learning-based IPA e-module, it obtained a very valid category with a score of 3.38. It was concluded that the authentic learning-based science e-module to improve the critical thinking skills of junior high school students was very valid in the aspect of assessing the cover page, table of contents page, learning indicators, material accuracy, content presentation, content accuracy, evaluation questions, manuals/ teacher's answer key and glossary. While the content design and typography aspects of the e-Module are categorized as valid. Furthermore, the e-module can be continued at the next research.Keywords: validity, science e-module, authentic learning, critical thinking skills. ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini ialah mendeskripsikan validitas e-modul IPA berbasis authentic learning untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik SMP. Penelitian ini bagian dari penelitian pengembanagan yang merupakan bagian dari model ASSURE yang menilai kelayakan pengembangan dari aspek validitas. Instrumen untuk mengambil data yang digunakan berupa lembar validasi e-modul. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dari validasi e-modul IPA berbasis authentic learning memperoleh kategori sangat valid dengan skor sebesar 3,38. Didapatkan simpulan bahwa e-modul IPA berbasis authentic learning untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik SMP sangat valid dalam aspek penilaian halaman muka/sampul, halaman daftar isi, indikator pembelajaran, keakuratan materi, penyajian isi, ketepatan isi, soal evaluasi, buku petunjuk/kunci jawaban guru dan glosarium. Sedang aspek penilaian desain isi dan tifografi e-Modul berkategori valid. Selanjutnya e-modul dapat dilanjutkan pada tahapan penelitian berikutnya di uji lapangan.Kata kunci: validitas, e-modul IPA, authentic learning, keterampilan berpikir kritis.

Abstract

In the era of Industry 4.0, problem-solving skills are crucial to address life's increasingly complex and diverse challenges. However, these skills are often not adequately cultivated in schools. This study aims to describe the suitability of physics teaching materials using problem-based learning (PBL) to enhance students' problem-solving skills in the topic of light and optical instruments. This research employs the Dick and Carey development model, involving five validators, ten students in a limited test, and 15 students in an extensive trial. Data is collected using validation instruments, observation of learning, and problem-solving tests. The results of the study indicate that the validation results of physics teaching materials, including lesson plans, teaching materials, student worksheets, and problem-solving tests, are 93, 92, 90, and 92, respectively, with a "very valid" rating. Furthermore, PBL activities in the limited and extensive trials are 84 and 86, respectively, with a "practical" categorization. In conclusion, the physics teaching materials developed using PBL are suitable for training problem-solving skills in physics education. These materials can be applied in secondary school-level education, particularly for light and optical instruments, to enhance students' problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

This research was conducted to produce learning tools that are suitable to support the improvement of students' critical thinking skills. More specifically, the tools developed are learning implementation plans, student worksheets, teaching materials, and learning outcome tests. The development model uses the Dick and Carey research model with research limitations on the validity and practicality aspects of learning tools. The results of the study show that in terms of validity, the tools developed have very valid results with achievements in the very good category as a result of the development carried out seriously in order to improve the quality of teaching and learning in the classroom.Keywords: Critical thinking, device development, science learning. Penelitian ini dilakukan menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran yang layak untuk menunjang peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Lebih spesifik perangkat yang dikembangkan adalah rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran, lembar kerja peserta didik, materi ajar, dan tes hasil belajar. Model pengembangan menggunakan model penelitian Dick and Carey dengan batasan penelitian pada aspek kevalidan dan kepraktisan perangkat pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pada aspek validitas, perangkat yang dikembangkan memiliki hasil sangat valid dengan ketercapaian dalam kategori sangat baik sebagai akibat dari pengembangan yang dilakukan secara sungguh-sungguh demi memperbaiki kualitas belajar-mengajar di dalam kelas.Kata kunci: Berpikir kritis, pembelajaran IPA, pengembangan perangkat.
