Abstract

The ability to think creatively is an ability that students must have to find or create new things that are useful for student in the learning process. Students with high achievement do not necessarily have high creativity either. This study aims to reveal students creative thinking skills in global warming material based on student achievement. This research method uses qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach. The research location was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Jabon, Dukuh Sari Jabon Sidoarjo. Data collection techniques used are tests dan interviews. The subjects in this study were 3 outstanding students in class VIII with ratings 1-3. The results showed that students in rank 1 were creative, students in rank 2 were quite creative, and students in rank 3 were very creative.Keywords: creative thinking ability, global warming material, achievementAbstrakKemampuan berpikir kreatif merupakan kemampuan yang harus dimiliki oleh siswa untuk menemukan atau menciptakan hal baru yang berguna baginya dalam proses belajar. Siswa dengan prestasi yang tinggi belum tentu memiliki kreatifitas yang tinggi pula. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi pemanasan global berdasarkan prestasi siswa. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Lokasi penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 1 Jabon, Dukuh Sari Jabon Sidoarjo. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yakni tes dan wawancara. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 3 siswa berprestasi di kelas VIII dengan peringkat 1-3. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa peringkat 1 kreatif, siswa peringkat 2 cukup kreatif, dan siswa peringkat 3 sangat kreatif.Kata kunci: kemampuan berpikir kreatif, materi pemanasan global, prestasi

Abstract

Education is one way to produce capable and skilled human beings. The education curriculum wants students' achievement competencies to meet the cognitive, affective, psychomotor domains in every learning process. However, the community paradigm that uses the cognitive domain as the basis for student success makes most of the education in conventional-based schools that focuses on the cognitive domain only. This makes students' abilities in the psychomotor realm not appear. Psychomotor skills will emerge by inviting students to work actively in learning. One way that teachers can do is to use student worksheets (LKS). This study aims to train students' psychomotor skills using LKS. The results showed that students' psychomotor skills can be trained well if repeated learning is carried out using LKS.Keywords: Psychomotor skills, LKS, students.ABSTRAKPendidikan merupakan salah satu cara untuk menghasilkan manusia yang berkemapuan dan juga berketarampilan. Kurikulum pendidikan menginginkan kompetensi capian siswa memenuhi ranah kognitif, afektif, psikomotorik dalam setiap proses pembelajaran. Akan tetapi, paradigma masyarakat yang menjadikan ranah kognitif sebagai dasar keberhasilan siswa membuat sebagian besar pendidikan di sekolah berbasis konvensional yang menitikberatkan pada ranah kognitif saja. Hal ini menjadikan kemampuan siswa pada ranah psikomotorik tidak muncul. Keterampilan psikomotorik akan muncul dengan mengajak siswa bekerja aktif dalam pembelajaran. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan guru adalah dengan menggunakan lembar kerja siswa (LKS). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melatih keterampilan psikomotorik siswa dengan menggunakan LKS.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan psikomotorik siswa dapat dilatih dengan baik jika dilakukan pembelajaran berulang-ulang menggunakan LKS.Kata kunci: Keterampilan psikomotorik, LKS, siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the static electricity subject matter learning device for junior high school students. Learning tools include syllabus, lesson plans, teaching materials, LKPD, and assessment test. The research model used is the Tessmer development model which consists of five steps, namely: 1) Self evaluation; 2) expert review; 3) one to one; 4) small group; and 5) field test. The data analysis technique used in this research is quantitative analysis to assess the effectiveness of the learning tools. The results showed that the learning tools developed were considered effective as seen from the LKPD results which showed an increasing trend in the indicators of critical skills.Keywords: effectiveness, learning tools, critical thinking skills, static electricityAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas perangkat pembelajaran materi pokok listrik statis pada peserta didik SMP. Perangkat pembelajaran meliputi silabus, RPP, materi ajar, LKPD, dan lembar penilaian. Model penelitian yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan Tessmer yang terdiri atas lima langkah yaitu: 1) Evaluasi diri (self evaluation); 2) pendapat pakar (expert review); 3) uji coba perorangan (one to one); 4) uji coba kelompok kecil (small group); dan 5) uji lapangan (field test). Teknik analisi data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis kuantitatif untuk menilai efektivitas perangkat pembelajaran. Abstract

Teachers as learning agents must be able to present the learning process contextually by involving the active participation of students. Some students learn best when they have the opportunity to interact with real objects through inquiry activities that will help students deepen their understanding of a concept. Inquiry learning is one that can be adapted to students' abilities, can build cognitive structures, and can motivate students to think critically. This research is classified as descriptive research. The subjects of the research were students of class X SMA Negeri 4 Barabai as many as 78 students in the 2015/2016 academic year on the mushroom group material. The research data were in the form of observations on students' critical thinking skills which were analyzed descriptively using categorical methods, namely very good (≥ 3), good (2-2.99), not good (1-1.99). While cognitive learning outcomes were obtained through tests and success was determined based on KKM = 67 with classical completeness 85%. The results showed that students' critical thinking skills were at least good, namely formulating hypotheses, designing experiments, conducting experiments, and making conclusions, while formulating problems, and analyzing data still needed improvement. Meanwhile, students' cognitive learning outcomes have not yet achieved minimal completeness. Keywords: critical thinking skills, learning outcomes, inquiry AbstrakGuru sebagai agen pembelajar harus mampu menyajikan proses pembelajaran secara kontekstual dengan melibatkan langsung peran serta siswa secara aktif. Sebagian siswa belajar dengan baik apabila mereka mendapat kesempatan berinteraksi dengan benda-benda nyata melalui aktivitas penyelidikan yang akan membantu siswa memperdalam pemahaman suatu konsep. Pembelajaran inkuiri merupakan salah satu pembelajaran yang dapat diadaptasikan dengan kemampuan siswa, dapat membangun struktur kognitif, dan dapat memotivasi siswa untuk berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini tergolong penelitian deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 4 Barabai sebanyak 78 siswa tahun pelajaran 2015/2016 pada materi pokmok jamur. Data hasil penelitian berupa hasil observasi terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan menggunakan kategorikal yakni sangat baik (≥ 3), baik (2-2,99), kurang baik (1-1,99). Sedangkan hasil belajar kognitif diperoleh melalui tes dan keberhasilan ditetapkan berdasarkan KKM = 67 dengan ketuntasan klasikal ≥ 85%. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa sekurang-kurangnya sudah baik, yakni merumuskan hipotesis, merancang percobaan, melakukan percobaan, dan membuat kesimpulan, sedangkan merumuskan masalah, dan menganalisis data masih perlu perbaikan. Sedangkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa belum mencapai ketuntasan minimal. Kata kunci: keterampilan berpikir kritis, hasil belajar, inkuiri

Abstract

Most science books do not provide easy-to-understand visual media. For example, by giving pictures that are small or unclear, so that students find it difficult to understand the available information. Therefore, a study was conducted on the validity and practicality of Prezi learning media on the role of soil and soil organisms for the survival of junior high school students. The purpose of this study was to test the validity and practicality of Prezi learning media. This study uses the Research and Development method with the ADDIE development model which is carried out only until the implementation stage with a small group scale. The research instrument used was the Prezi learning media validation sheet and student response questionnaires. Based on the results of the study, it was obtained that the validity test of the Prezi learning media was very valid by showing a score of 0.84 while the results of the student response questionnaire as a test of the practicality of the media were obtained practically by showing a score of 77%, so it can be concluded that the Prezi learning media can be continued to the next stage, namely the effectiveness stage

Abstract

Competition in the field of education globally is increasingly competitive, but it has not been directly proportional to the development of education in several regions in Indonesia. Students still have difficulty in critical thinking, including the concept of classification of living things, because the teaching materials used are not fully related to the experience and environment of students. This study aims to develop teaching materials for the concept of classification of living things based on local potential. The development is carried out using Tessmer's formative model which includes five stages; 1) self-evaluation (self-evaluation); 2) expert opinion (expert review); 3) Individual trial (one to one); 4) small group trial; and 5) field test. The results showed that by developing a prototype of contextual teaching materials based on local advantages, it was able to increase students' interest, activity, and thinking skills which could be measured by increasing their learning outcomes.Abstrak Persaingan di bidang pendidikan secara global semakin kompetitif, namun belum berbanding lurus dengan perkembangan pendidikan di beberapa daerah di Indonesia. Peserta didik masih mengalami kesulitan dalam berpikir kritis, diantaranya pada konsep klasifikasi makhluk hidup, karena bahan ajar yang digunakan belum sepenuhnya berkaitan dengan pengalaman dan lingkungan hidup peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengambangan bahan ajar konsep klasifikasi makhluk hidup berbasis potensi lokal. Pengembangan dilakukan dengan menggunakan model formatif Tessmer yang meliputi lima tahapan; 1) evaluasi diri (self-evaluation); 2) pendapat pakar (expert review); 3) Uji coba perorangan (one to one); 4) uji coba kelompok kecil (small group); dan 5) uji lapangan (field test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan dilakukan pengembangan prototype bahan ajar kontekstual berbasis keunggulan lokal mampu meningkatkan minat, aktivitas, dan kemampuan berpikir siswa yang dapat diukur diantaranya dengan meningkatnya hasil belajarnya.

Abstract

STEM merupakan perpaduan 4 disiplin ilmu yang berkaitan satu sama lain. Sains melibatkan matematika sebagai alat dalam mengolah data, sedangkan teknologi dan teknik merupakan aplikasi dari sains. Berdasarkan survey yang dilakukan kepada guru IPA pada lingkup MGMP di kota Banjarmasin sudah mengenal pembelajaran STEM, namun diantaranya masih kesulitan dalam merencanakan dan mengintegarasikan STEM pada pembelajaran IPA di kelas terutama dengan menggunakan sumber belajar disekitar lingkungannya. Adapun pendampingan dilakukan pada seluruh guru IPA yang termasuk dalam MGMP IPA dengan jumlah 35 orang. Metode pengabdian dilakukan sebagai berikut : (1) melaksanakan focus group discussion pada beberapa guru pada perwakilan MGMP untuk menggali pembelajaran IPA di SMP atau sederajatnya. (2) melaksanakan bimbingan  teknis  mengenai STEM yang diikuti oleh seluruh anggota (3) merencanakan pembelajaran IPA berbasis STEM  dalam bentuk RPP (4) mengevaluasi dan (5) revisi hasil RPP yang dikembangkan oleh guru selama program berlangsung. RPP yang dihasilkan sudah memenuhi aspek dalam indikator, namun pada kelompok guru yang lain belum memenuhi kriteria yang ditetapkan terutama pada aspek penilaian STEM dan lingkungan sehingga perlu dilakukan perbaikan pada aspek yang belum maksimal. Pada kelompok guru terkategori sangat baik pada RPP yang dikembangkan hal ini terlihat rerata 85.5% sedangkan 5 kelompok lainnya yakni tergolong Baik. Hasil pengembangan yang dilakukan dapat dijadikan prototype dalam pembelajaran STEM. Assistance Planning Science Learning With A Stem Approach In  Banjarmasin STEM is science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. STEM is a combination of 4 disciplines that are related to each other. Science involves mathematics as a tool in processing data, while technology and engineering are applications of science. Based on survey conducted to science teachers community in Banjarmasin. The teacher already know about with STEM learning, but they still have difficulty planning and integrating STEM in science learning in the classroom, especially by using learning resources around their environment. The method of service is carried out as follows: (1) carrying out focus group discussions on several teachers at MGMP representatives to find science learning in junior high schools or the equivalent. (2) implementation STEM followed by all members teacher science community (3) planning STEM-based science learning in the form of lesson plans (4) developing and (5) revision of lesson plans developed by teachers during the program. The result showed that lesson plan has all aspects in the indikators, but a group is classified enough because of STEM and environmental assessment aspects. The other group is categorized as very good in the developed lesson plan on an average of 85.5%. Thus 5 groups are classified as good for their lesson plan.

Abstract

Critical thinking in science learning emphasizes students' knowledge and understanding of scientific concepts and processes needed to make decisions in real conditions. Students who have the ability to think critically are expected to be able to face problems and make decisions intelligently and based on information to live a better life. This study aims to improve students' critical thinking skills by developing teaching materials based on local wisdom. The results showed that the learning carried out significantly affected the level of critical thinking of students, both viewed as a whole (z=-4.731; p-value=0.000<0.05) or based on three aspects of critical thinking separately (p-value=0.000<0.05). The results of this study recommend that the use of teaching materials with local wisdom in science learning materials, especially materials that make up the ecosystem, must be optimized, both at the school and university levels.Abstrak Berpikir kritis dalam pembelajaran sains menekankan pada pengetahuan dan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap konsep-konsep ilmiah dan proses yang diperlukan untuk mengambil keputusan dalam kondisi nyata. Mahasiswa yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis diharapkan mampu menghadapi masalah serta mengambil keputusan secara cerdas dan berbasis informasi agar dapat menjalani kehidupan yang lebih baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa dengan mengembangkan bahan ajar berwawasan kearifan lokal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran yang dilakukan mempengaruhi tingkat berpikir kritis mahasiswa secara signifikan, baik dilihat secara keseluruhan (z=-4,731; p-value=0,000<0,05), maupun berdasarkan tiga aspek berpikir kritis secara terpisah (p-value=0,000<0,05). Hasil penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar penggunaan bahan ajar berwawasan kearifan lokal dalam materi pembelajaran sains khususnya materi yang membentuk ekosistem perlu dioptimalkan, baik dalam level sekolah maupun pada tingkat perguruan tinggi.

Abstract

This study aims to innovate science teaching materials based on scientific literacy on light and optical instruments. The study used the research and development (RD) method with the four-D (4D) model. The subjects in the study included three experts and 60 class VIII students with an age range of 13-15 years at the same level. This study collected quantitative data from product validation, questionnaire, and scientific literacy test. The questionnaire and test instrument have been proven valid and reliable based on expert judgment and empirical tests. The data were analyzed using descriptive and empirical statistic tests. The expert judgment proves that science teaching materials score 3.79 of 4 and scientific literacy aspects 3.71 of 4, which is valid. In addition, the teaching materials were also categorized as effective with an overall score (z = -4.731 and p-value = 0.000 0.05). In detail, the learning process increases student scientific literacy (p-value = 0.0000.05). Furthermore, science teaching materials based on scientific literacy could be optimized to improve students' scientific literacy skills sustainably.

Abstract

Research has been carried out on the development of Articulate storyline on environmental pollution material. This study aims to test the validity and practicality of the Articulate storyline on environmental pollution material. The development model used in this research is the ADDIE development model up to the implementation stage. The instruments used in this study were validation sheets and student response questionnaires. The results of this study obtained high validity criteria with a value of 0.90. The results of the practicality of this study get very practical results with an average value of 95.5%. The product resulting from this research can be continued to the effectiveness stage.
