Abstract

Soil as the foundation of a building must have a carrying capacity that is capable of supporting the load of the building on it. For this type of soil of clay that has a large shrinkage and development properties (expansive clays) as a result of which contained mineral montmorillonite minerals form very easily affected by changes in water content so easily expands further damaging buildings on it. To reduce the fluffy nature of clay is necessary to repair / stabilization by adding mix-husk ash and lime. In this study, carried out by the addition of a mix-husk ash and lime with variations in the percentage of 0%, 4%, 6% and 8%. The results show the value of plasticity index, IP, decreased by 59.35% on a mix-husk ash and lime at 6%, the greater the percentage of mix-husk ash and lime, dry density value,  increasing dry unit weight, decreasing swelling occurs quite 4% greater in percentage mix-husk ash and lime, the CBR value increased with the increasing percentage-husk ash and lime.Keywords: expansive clay, montmorillonite minerals, plasticity index, swelling, dry density, CBR.

Abstract

Expansive clay is a soil that has a low carrying capacity and high shrinkage growth. Tthe soil has certain limited physical and mechanical properties. Therefore a stabilization is needed so that the parametric soils values ​​become better so that they can be used as subgrade in a construction. Tests carried out include, specific gravity testing, liquid limits, plastic limits, and compaction testing with proctor test and CBR test. The soil was used in this study was taken from the area Bujur Timur, Pamekasan. The soil included the CH group with a plasticity index of 43.5%. The percentage of addition of rice straw is 0%, 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, 10% of the dry weight of the soil. The most optimum of proctor test results are the addition of rice straw ash by 5.8% with 0MC (Optimum Moisture Content) value of 15,20 % and dry content weight 1.72 gr/cm3. The optimum test results with 7.8% rice straw ash with a CBR value of 5.4% so that can be used for alternative soil improvement. Abstract

Bentuk konstruksi badan jalan terdiri dari beberapa lapis perkerasan yang tiap lapisnya memiliki jenis dan ketebalan tertentu, yaitu lapisan tanah dasar (sub grade), lapis pondasi bawah (sub base), lapis pondasi atas (base) dan lapis permukaan (surface). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Preloading, sehingga diharapkan dapat mengatasi permasalahan penurunan tanah di lapangan. Adapun data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder yakni data bor log test, klasifikasi kondisi setiap lapisan tanah, tes pemadatan tanah. Berdasarkan analisa data yang dilakukan, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa tinggi timbunan pada saat menggunakan preloading dan tanpa menggunakan preloading adalah sama yaitu sebesar 1,50 m.

Abstract

Roads are the most important aspects of distribution, social, and economic fields, but over time and changing weather is often the cause of road damage. Therefore, it is necessary to have a review carried out to be able to determine the type of damage and the degree of damage that occurs. Observations will be made on the Teuku Umar Tuban Road Section by referring to the Bina Marga Method. Observations will be carried out visually and only analyzed only on the surface, in addition to calculating the daily vehicle volume. From the observation process, types of damage were obtained, namely patholes, cracking, patchng, depression and rutting. Based on the type of damage, repairs will be carried out on the most numerous and fundamental type of damage is to use the crack fill method, this is done because this road has a crack of 55%.

Abstract

The wharf is one of the supporting facilities for the process of loading and unloading goods on ships. For services for long-term ships and loads caused by the process of loading and unloading ships, the safety of the wharf needs to be improved by strengthening the foundation. Berlian Pier uses a steel pile foundation with a diameter of 1.016 m and a length of 32 m. This study used the Meyerhoff method to calculate the bearing capacity of the piles and N-SPT data for the Reinforcement of Wharf Structures Using Diameter Variations at Berlian Surabaya Pier. Based on the re-planning that has been done, it is concluded that a diameter of 1.00 m and a length of 32 m obtains a single pile bearing capacity of 8164 Tons, shear resistance of 28120.4 Tons, axial bearing capacity of 8345.42 Tons. Immediate settlement of 38.551 mm, annual settlement of 00,0201 mm, long-term settlement of 0,193 mm, and total settlement of 48,050 mm. Keywords: Variation Diameter, Carrying Capacity, Settlement

Abstract

Soil acts as a building material in various types of civil engineering work, on the other hand land plays a role as a support for building foundations such as embankments, highways and railroads. Soil improvement is a type of soil stability that is useful as soil improvement and performance required by technical requirements. In an effort to increase the carrying capacity of the soil, several methods can be used, such as: soil improvement using Replecement Soil, PVD Method, Preloading, Micropile, Geotextiles, etc. In this study, the geotextile method was used as an alternative reinforcement to find a larger and better safety number (SF) for soil conditions adjacent to (Groundwater Table), and can be the most effective alternative soil improvement method. Based on the analysis of the data, it was concluded that the total load (q) is 31 layers of non-woven which is 2 layers, with a length of geotextile (L) of 1.825 m. The safety factor geotextile method non-woven = 2.4.

Abstract

Jalan Raya Jati – Cemeng Kalang Sidoarjo, Jawa Timur merupakan Jalan Arteri primer yang termasuk dalam wilayah Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Kemacetan di Ruas jalan Raya Jati – Cemeng Kalang, Sidoarjo Jawa Timur sudah lama Menjadi masalah bagi pengendara kendaraan bermotor. Kemacetan Jalan Raya Jati – Cemeng Kalang disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor, yaitu perbandingan Jumlah kendaraan dengan ruas jalan yang tersedia tidak seimbang, jumlah Kendaraan pribadi yang terus meningkat, parkir liar, kurang maksimalnya Penggunaan transportasi umum, jalan Raya Jati – Cemeng Kalang ini memiliki Type ruas 2/2UD.Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis besar Volume kendaraan pada Jalan Raya Jati –Cemengkalang pada jam puncak pagi hari dan sore hari. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode observasi daln manuall count agar memperoleh data – data dari pengalmaltaln secalral langsung dan melakukan pengolahan data sesuai dengan PKJI 2014. Volume lalu lintas di Jalan Raya Jati – Cemengkalang paling padat pada jam puncak pagi hari terjadi pukul 07.00 – 08.00 WIB dengan total 6030.3 skr/jam, sedangkan volume lalu lintas paling padat pada jam puncak sore hari terjadi pukul 17.00 – 18.00 WIB dengan total 6112.3 skr/jam.

Abstract

Lahan parkir pasar sebagai fasilitas area dimana dimulai dan berhentinya kendaraan. Penelitian ini melakukan studi pada area lahan parkir di pasar Modern Citraland Surabaya. Permasalahan yang ditemukan pada area lahan parkir tersebut adalah overloadnya kendaraan yang parkir di area tersebut. Sehingga menyebabkan ketidakpuasan pada masyarakat yang melintas maupun berkunjung di pasar tersebut. Salah satu upaya mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah dengan menganalisa kepuasan masyarakat terhadap lahan parkir di pasar Modern Citraland Surabaya. Penelitian mengolah data observasi, dokumentasi, dan penyebaran kuisioner. Penyebaran kuisioner sangat dibutuhkan untuk pengujian validitas dan reliabilitas data sample penilaian masyarakat. Ada 22 item pertanyaan dalam kuisioner yang diuji peneliti. Dalam penyebaran kuisioner ada 84 responden dan terdapat 30 sampel yang layak diuji. Hal itu berdasarkan data karakteristik responden. Setelah mengolah kevalidtan dari data sample peneliti melanjutkan analisa dengan metode IPA. Hasil dari metode IPA adalah terdapatnya tingkat kepuasan masyarakat (X ̅=2.56) yang lebih kecil daripada nilai harapan (Y ̅=3.77) terhadap lahan parkir pasar Modern Citraland Surabaya. Penelitian ini juga membuat diagram kartesius yang dimana tiap item kuisioner berada di kuadran yang berbeda. Terdapat 4 kuadran pada diagram kartesius. kuadran 1 merupakan nilai harapan yang tinggi namun kepuasan masyarakat terhadap lahan parkir di nilai kurang. Kuadran 2 nilai harapan yang tinggi dan kepuasan masyarakat terhadap lahan parkir di nilai sudah sesuai. Kuadran 3 merupakan nilai harapan yang rendah dan kepuasan masyarakat terhadap lahan parkir juga kurang. Kuadran 4 merupakan nilai harapan yang rendah namun kepuasan masyarakat terhadap lahan parkir di nilai baik.

Abstract

Concrete is a material that is commonly used when doing construction work today. Because concrete has several advantages when compared to other materials, such as being easy to form, resistant to weather changes, has high compressive strength, and is durable. In this study the use of Silica Fume as an additive to flow concrete has the function of improving the quality of flowing concrete. Silica Fume has an important role in affecting the chemical and mechanical properties of concrete. Judging from its chemical properties, Silica Fume geometrically fills the voids between cement materials, and causes the pore diameter to decrease and the total pore volume to decrease. Meanwhile, from its mechanical properties, Silica Fume has a pozzolanic reaction (a material containing silica/silica dioxide and alumina compounds) which reacts to the limestone released by the cement. The aim of the research is to increase the maximum compressive strength of flowing concrete by using Silica Fume added with varying percentages of 0%, 5%, 6%, 7.5%, 9%, 10.5% and 12% and using a superplasticizer of 1.5 %. From the results of the research conducted, it was found that flowing concrete with added silica fume on concrete compressive strength was able to reach 7.5% at 7 days of age of 25.91 MPa and at 28 days of concrete age was obtained at 26.19 MPa.
