Abstract

This article aims at explaining the Kadiran tradition in the village of East Kaduara, Madura. The tradition contains religious rituals in the form of selamatan or rokatan. Substantively, religious rituals of Kadiran is dhikr lead by a leader of the tarekat by reciting deeds practiced by Shaykh ?Abd al-Qâdir al-Jîlânî. The meaning of slametan Kadiran for society functions as a form of gratitude for the blessings of God. It also means that the society pray for God for His mercy and at the same time it functions as a means of balancing the needs of both physical and spiritual life. In addition, it is also aimed as a chance to meet relatives (silat al-rahim) after their daily activities and business. The Kadiran tradition, along with it specificity and uniqueness, has been well maintained by the community and in a way passed it from generation to generation, so that the tradition has existed up until the present day.

Abstract

artikel ini memaparkan pemikiran Juynboll dalam menguji autentisitas dan klaim kesejarahan hadis dengan teori common link. Sebagai teori perpanjangan tangan dari teori Schacht, Juynboll berhasil mengembangkan teori tersebut sehingga lahirlah berbagai model periwayatan dan istilah-istilah baru dalam teori common link. Hasil dari tulisan ini menunjukkan bahwa teori common link Juynboll memberikan kontribusi besar dan brilian untuk menguji periwayatan hadis, hanya saja perlu dilakukan kajian lebih dalam tentang matan hadis, yang kurang dielaborasi dengan baik oleh Juynboll.

Abstract

Ontalan is a Maduranese tradition at weddings. The term of ontalan (oncal: Javanese) means throwing, which is throwing money at the bride and groom when they are sitting side by side. As a tradition, ontalan is something that has been done and has become part of the life and local wisdom of the Pamekasan community which is still being implemented. The social function of ontalan is to strengthen social relations between families, a symbol of family cohesiveness, and also as a symbol of agreement on the marriage of the bride and groom. While the economic function of ontalan is in order to help families who have an intention and as a provision of life for a new couple. Some people continue to try preserving these traditions through inheritance to the next generation, construction and modification so that the tradition is in accordance with the times.Ontalan adalah tradisi orang Madura di pesta pernikahan. Istilah ontalan (oncal: Jawa) berarti melempar, yaitu melempar uang ke pengantin saat mereka duduk berdampingan. Sebagai sebuah tradisi, ontalan adalah sesuatu yang telah dilakukan dan telah menjadi bagian dari kehidupan dan kearifan lokal masyarakat Pamekasan yang masih dilaksanakan. Fungsi sosial ontalan adalah untuk memperkuat hubungan sosial antar keluarga, simbol kekompakan keluarga, dan juga sebagai simbol kesepakatan tentang pernikahan mempelai pria dan wanita. Sedangkan fungsi ekonomi ontalan adalah untuk membantu keluarga yang memiliki niat dan sebagai bekal hidup bagi pasangan baru. Beberapa orang terus mencoba melestarikan tradisi ini melalui warisan kepada generasi berikutnya, konstruksi dan modifikasi sehingga tradisi tersebut sesuai dengan zaman.

Abstract

Student organizations are forms and means of channeling ideas, creations and works that can support students. The results of the study show that: First; Each ORMAWA organizes RAKER, which will be programmed in its leadership period from short to long term, then the results of the mutually agreed upon RAKER are submitted in RAKERGAB, SENAT students hold RAKERGAB which is attended by all ORMAWA. The work plan program in the program does not deviate from the Bylaws, then the agreed upon results are carried out according to RAKERGAB. Supporting factors include: the existence of good service from the leadership to students to carry out their activities programs in improving student leadership behavior, the leadership provides opportunities for students to create and creativity as always willing and always accompany and provide direction and motivation to students. The inhibiting factors include: Limited land and facilities that are still inadequate, lack of places to carry out limited activities, and limited provision of stationery.

Abstract

Manajemen pendidikan yang berbasis multikultural menjadi sangat pentingkarena tanpa adanya manajemen, lembaga pendidikan akan sulit dalammelaksanakan kegiatan-kegiatan pendidikan maupun kependidikan sehinggaproses pencapaian tujuan pendidikan pun akan sulit untuk diperoleh. Sehinggaseorang kepala sekolah perlu betul-betul melakukan pengelolaan dan kebijakankebijakan yang baik dan sesuai dalam mengatur sistem pendidikan yang berbasismultikultural supaya proses kegiatan pendidikan dapat lebih terarah danmeminimalisir terjadinya kegagalan di dalam pendidikan. Pendidikan tidak sertamerta diberikan begitu saja kepada siswa akan tetapi pendidikan diberikanberdasarkan kebutuhan yang mampu mengembangkan pengetahuan,keterampilan dan sikap siswa dengan baik. Pendidikan yang dianggap mampumemberikan pemahaman dan pengimplementasian dari adanya keberagaman disuatu negara yaitu dengan pendidikan berbasis multikultural. Hal ini didasarkanpada konflik yang sering terjadi di kalangan siswa. Terkadang siswa sulit untuksaling toleransi terhadap sesama karena mereka merasa bahwa kebiasaan atautindakan seseorang berbeda dengan kebiasaan yang mereka lakukan dalamkehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

Young kiais (also known as lora in Madura culture) at Tapal Kuda, East Java have become increasingly involved in environmental issues, yet not in a fully coordinated or organized manner. This article attempts to give a brief portrayal of this fledgling movement and its moderate form of religious environmentalism. This study seeks to identify the factors responsible for this new environmentalist movement, the individuals behind it, and its impact in East Java. Through interviews and observations it is argued that the lora show moderation in propagating their concerns and empowering the community to take care of the environment as a manifestation of their Islamic eco-theological ethics. The informants responded to internal and external factors described in terms of their typology; participant, proponent, and activator. The movement has a measurable impact in terms of awareness, community establishment, cooperation with relevant institutions and supporting facilities and shows significant potential to develop further and establish itself in the region, while overcoming several challenges that slow its activism. The results of this study are expected to highlight the contributions of what so-called the Islamic eco-theology in Indonesian pesantren that participate in the current efforts to protect and preserve the natural environment.

Abstract

The tradition of bhuju' malem or ju'aji is a unique tradition in Karanganyar village that is still carried out today. This tradition is carried out as a form of respect for ancestors, an expression of gratitude for Allah's blessings. It reflects Islamic values and an effort to maintain local cultural identity in this modern era. The purpose of writing this article is to reveal the Islamic religious values contained in this tradition and introduce this tradition. This research method uses a qualitative approach with phenomenology and data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The results of this study indicate that the bhuju’ malem tradition contains Islamic religious values, namely the value of worship in this tradition is reflected in the activities of reading the Qur’an, tahlil, and prayers together, sharing food, and strengthening ukhuwah Islamiyah. Therefore, this unique tradition is preserved and maintained to protect it from the rapid flow of globalization, which can dilute the authenticity and value of culture. This research will provide scientific information about Islamic values contained in local traditions and provide awareness to the community to continue preserving local culture.

Abstract

Terdapat banyak sekali koloman yang dilaksanakan oleh masyarakat madura yang tersebar di empat kabupaten, Bangkalan Sampang, Pamekasan dan Sumenep yaitu : koloman RT, RW, ANSOR, NU, Ikatan keluarga, koloman alumni, koloman sebelasan, dan koloman lintas daerah. Koloman koloman tersebut biasanya diisi dengan kegiatan kegamaan seperti yasinan, tahlilan, shalawatan, khataman, darusan, koloman kitab dan koloman dzikir. Koloman-koloman tersebut sudah dilaksanakan oleh masyarakat madura secara turun temurun dalam waktu yang cukup lama, sehingga sebagian besar mereka tidak tahun sejarah awal mula didirikannya koloman tersebut, terkecualai koloman koloman yang didirikan dengan tujuan tertentu dalam waktu yang masih relatif baru. Bagi masyarakat madura koloman tersebut merupakan bagian dari kearifan lokal yang sudah mengakar dalam kehidupan masyarakat dengan tujuan utama sebagai sarana silaturrahim, media beribadah dalam meningkatkan spiritualitas dan religiusitas dan sarana menambah ilmu pengetahuan sosial dan keagamaan. Banyaknya koloman yang dilaksanakan oleh masyarakat madura dalam bentuknya yang beragam menjadikan mayarakat madura sebagai masyarakat yang kompak memiliki ikatan sosial yang kuat, religius dan berpendidikan.Â
