Abstract

This study aims to, First, to determine the effect of the application of problem solving methods on student Civics learning outcomes at Al-Anwar Guluk Islamic Middle School - GulukSumenep. Second, to find out the magnitude of the effect of the application of problem solving methods on student Civics learning outcomes at Al-Anwar Guluk Islamic Middle School - GulukSumenep. This study uses a quantitative approach, because this research deals with numbers. The population in this study were all students as many as 59 students. Given the total population is less than 100, the researchers took all of the population, namely as many as 59 which are known as population research. The instruments used in data collection are questionnaires, interviews, observation and documentation. The data collection lasted 40 days from January 10 to February 20, 2020. The data analysis technique used was statistical analysis using the product moment correlation formula. The results show that: First, there is an effect of the application of the problem solving method on student Civics learning outcomes at Al-Anwar Guluk Islamic Junior High School - GulukSumenep, this is evident from the results of data analysis, that the r work value of 0.690 is greater than the r value of the product moment table. , where at db = 59 in the 5% confidence interval the r value of the product moment table is 0.266 and in the 1% confidence interval the r value of the product moment table is 0.345. Second, the application of the problem solving method has a sufficient effect on student civics learning outcomes at Islamic Junior High School Al-Anwar Guluk - GulukSumenep, because the r work value of 0.690 is in the series of numbers from 0.600 to 0.800 high interpretation. After it is known that the application of problem solving methods has a significant effect on student motivation, it is advisable to apply the method of problem solving methods, so that student learning motivation increases.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are: (1) to describe and analyze the implementation of guidance and counseling supervision at the State Senior High Schools of Kubu Raya, and (2) to find main factors inhibiting the implementation of guidance and counseling supervisor at the State Senior High Schools of Kubu Raya regency. This study used the qualitative method with the interview as the data collection technique tested its validity through source triangulation. The research subjects in this study were one guidance and counseling supervisor and seven guidance and counseling teachers as the informants. The data analysis techniques used were data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The results show that: (1) the implementation of the guidance and counseling supervision has still many weaknesses on each stage done by the supervisors, such as unidentified guidance and counseling teachers‘ needs, the program planning is not yet organized well, the supervisors do not use particular approaches, and they do not control the supervisions carried out, (2) some factors inhibiting the implementation of guidance and counseling supervision include lack of guidance and counseling supervision forces that so many guidance and counseling teachers are not supervised optimally, lack of knowledge and understanding by the supervisors on the implementation of the guidance and counseling supervision, and also minimal development of supervisory competencies in the guidance and counseling field.

Abstract

This study aims to 1) determine the improvement of student learning outcomes through the implementation of the CLIS model assisted by audio visual media (sound slide) at SD-IT Nurul Islam Singkawang; 2) to determine student responses after the implementation of the CLIS model assisted by audio visual media (sound slide) at SD-IT Nurul Islam Singkawang. The type of research used is quantitative with a one group pre-test post-test research design. The population in this study were all grade V students of SD-IT Nurul Islam Singkawang and the sample in this study used a total sampling of the entire class V Hud as many as 27 students. The results of the study showed that 1) Hypothesis testing using the Wilcoxon test obtained a sig value of 0.001 (0.001 <0.05), so it can be concluded that there is an increase in the learning outcomes of class V Hud students after the application of the CLIS learning model assisted by audio-visual media (sound slides) in the science subject of SD-IT Nurul Islam Singkawang students.; 2) Based on the results of the calculation of the student response questionnaire showed an average of 75%, it can be concluded that the implications of this study indicate that the application of the CLIS model assisted by audio-visual media (sound slides) can have a positive impact on student learning outcomes, especially on magnet material and its uses. Keywords: CLIS model, assisted by audio-visual media (sound slides), learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between reward and punishment on students' learning motivation at SMP Negeri X. The background of the study is based on the importance of motivation in the learning process, because motivation plays a major role in influencing students' enthusiasm and participation. Rewards and punishments are seen as educational instruments believed to help improve or decrease certain behaviors in an academic context. Motivation in learning is a key factor that influences students' performance and engagement in the classroom. The research method used is a quantitative correlational with an asymmetrical associative relationship design. The study population included 123 ninth-grade students, and through a simple random sampling technique using the Slovin formula, a sample of 94 students was obtained. The research instrument was a Likert-scale-based questionnaire, consisting of 30 statements for reward and punishment variables with a reliability of 0.952, and 28 statements for learning motivation variables with a reliability of 0.974. Data analysis was carried out through simple regression, F-test, and coefficient of determination (R²). The results showed that the provision of rewards and punishments was in the "sufficient" category with an average score of 96.20 (range 91–100). Similarly, student learning motivation was classified as "sufficient" with an average score of 88.89 (range 85–92). The hypothesis test yielded an Fcalculated of 0.058, which is smaller than the Ftable of 3.94 at the 5% significance level. This indicates no significant relationship between the two variables. The R² value of 0.6% indicates that the contribution of rewards and punishments to learning motivation is very low. These findings suggest that teachers should explore alternative strategies to foster students' intrinsic motivation. Thus, this study emphasizes the need for motivational strategies other than rewards and punishments to increase student learning participation.
