Abstract

In the current era of the covid-19 pandemic, for employee attendance attendance is still using the attendance system with a finger print and in my opinion it is very dangerous in employee attendance at this time during the covid-19 pandemic, because the hands of employees who have been absent are left behind in the attendance machine and I think it can spread covid-19 to other employees who want to be absent, so that the use of a distributed system application on the mobile-based attendance information system at bpdashl wampu sei snake has a good impact on users, where users can avoid the spread of covid-19 with services digital attendance provided by the application that was built so that employees no longer have to queue at the attendance machine and avoid touching the attendance machine. To build a distributed system application on a mobile-based attendance information system at the office of bpdashl wampu sei snake using Adroid Studio. Therefore, the author raised the title of a distributed system application application on a mobile-based attendance information system at the BPDASHL Wampu Sei Snake office, so that the prevention of employee attendance is not contagious because there is no physical contact by reducing touch. With the design of a distributed system application on this mobile-based attendance information system, it is hoped that it can trigger other developers to innovate more in designing the next system

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the most active Twitter users, so Twitter can be used as a medium to analyze e-learning topics. Studying at school is one of the things that have been affected by the current Covid-19 pandemic. On March 4, 2020, UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Educational Organization) recommended that schools adopt a distance education system that allows teachers to reach students remotely and limits educational disruption on social networks. This study aims to answer public opinion that focuses on social media Twitter on this online/distance learning policy. Sentiment analysis is conducted to determine whether opinions on an issue have a positive, neutral, or negative trend value and can be used as a benchmark to improve a service. Sentiment analysis using the k-Nearest Neighbor method with Twitter data as much as 7800 tweet data that has been previously processed and achieves the best accuracy value of 53.03% with a comparison of training data and test data of 80:20.

Abstract

A text file is a file that contains information in text form. Data derived from word processing documents, numbers used in calculations, names and addresses in the database are examples of text data input consisting of characters, numbers and punctuation marks. The process of sending messages or texts has now become a necessity for everyone through various media platforms that exist as a form of visual message. The large size of the text transmission of course sometimes becomes an obstacle, not to mention bandwidth is also a problem for users in the sending process. One solution to solve this problem is to use compression or compression techniques. Data compression is a method that supports technology in the use of networks for data transmission, data access, and data use. Some of the many compression algorithms that are declared good to be applied to text-based data compression are Byte Pair and Half Byte. The Half-Byte Algorithm takes advantage of the four left-hand bits which are often the same in sequence, especially in text files. Byte Pair Encoding Algorithm is a simple text compression algorithm based on pattern substitution. Both of these algorithms mandate the similarity of data as a compression process using a program that has been created with the Visual Basic 2010 programming language. Visual Basic 2010 is an OOP-based programming language or object oriented programming that utilizes .NET technology which is used to create applications in a work environment based on Windows. Visual Basic 2010 or Visual Basic . Comparative analysis will be carried out based on the results of compression, ratio, and processing time in determining which algorithm is more optimal.

Abstract

ASCII differentiation is a compression method that utilizes the difference value or the difference between the bytes contained in the input character. Technically, the ASCII differentiation method can be done using a coding dictionary or using windowing block instead of the coding dictionary. Previous research that has been carried out shows that the ASCII differentiation compression ratio is good enough but still needs to be analyzed on performance from the perspective of the compression ratio of the method compared to other methods that have been widely used today. In this study an analysis of the comparison of the ASCII Difference method with other compression methods such as LZW will be carried out. The selection of LZW itself is done by reason of the number of data compression applications that use the method so that it can be the right benchmark. Comparison of the compression ratio performed shows the results of ASCII differentiation have advantages compared to LZW, especially in small input characters. Whereas in large input characters, LZW can optimize the probability of pairs of characters that appear compared to ASCII differentiation which is glued to the difference values ​​in each block of input characters so that in large size characters LZW has a greater compression ratio compared to ASCII differentiation.

Abstract

Biometrics technology and its combination with Cloud Computing has become a technological trend today which has been utilized in various applications and services such as social media. The low insight into this technology is still often found in the younger generation, especially in high school students. This dedication activity is carried out at SMK Dwi Tunggal 2 Tanjung with class X students. This dedication aims to provide insights and knowledge of Biometrika technology and Google Cloud Vision API which are widely used by various Google services in the hope that this activity can be useful to educate generations especially in the fields of Biometrics and Cloud Vision technology.

Abstract

Teknologi pemberkasan digital dan pemanfaatannya yang telah dilakukan saat ini masih banyak ditemukan kekeliruan sehingga dokumen digital tidak terstruktur dan terkesan berantakan. Padahal secara konsep terdapat beberapa faktor penting yang harus diperhatikan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan pemberkasan digital. Beberapa faktor penting seperti format, struktur dan identifikasi, keamanan serta manajemen resiko terkesan diabaikan atau mungkin tidak memahami pentingnya faktor – faktor tersebut untuk menjaga keutuhan dan ketahanan dari dokumen digital. Pentingnya pemahaman terhadap konsep pemberkasan digital dapat dilihat pada pelaksanaan kegiatan administrasi seperti pada beberapa kantor Kecamatan seperti pada Kecamatan Medan Labuhan membuat dianggap perlunya dilakukan sosialisasi dan penyuluhan pemberkasan dokumen administrasi sehingga berdasarkan alasan tersebut maka pada kegiatan ini akan dilakukan sosialisasi dan penyuluhan pemberkasan digital pada Kecamatan Medan Labuhan.

Abstract

Kebergantungan para UKM di desa Bukit Lawang terhadap pengunjung dan wisatawan menyebabkan sulitnya usaha untuk mempertahankan dan mengembangkan bisnisnya. Jumlah pengunjung yang tidak menentu dan terkesan menurun menyebabkan banyak UKM yang tidak lagi mampu untuk mempertahankan bisnisnya. Absen nya usaha pemasaran ataupun promosi menjadi salah satu penyebab mundurnya UKM di desa Bukit Lawang. Jenis usaha UKM seperti makanan dan jajanan, souvenir dan penginapan yang terdapat di desa Bukit Lawang sangat bergantung kepada pengunjung wisata. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini memberikan penyuluhan mengenai teknologi media informasi dan internet dalam rangka membuka wawasan para UKM untuk memanfaatkan potensi pemasaran melalui media informasi dan internet. Pengetahuan mengenai internet, layanan media sosial, toko online, virtual payment dan layanan – layanan lainnya dapat memberikan opsi bagi para UKM untuk tidak hanya bertahan namun juga mengembangkan bisnis nya sehingga tidak hanya bergantung pada pengunjung wisata.

Abstract

Ekosistem mangrove telah ada dikenal lama memiliki banyak fungsi dan merupakan penghubung penting dalam menjaga keseimbangan biologis di ekosistem pesisir. Ekosistem hutan bakau merupakan habitat penting bagi organisme laut. Hutan mangrove sebagai salah satu ekosistem wilayah pesisir dan lauatan sangat potensial bagi kesejahteraan masyarakat baik dari segi ekonomi, sosial, dan lingkungan hidup. Ekosistem mangrove di kelurahan Nelayan Indah sekarang ini dalam keadaan kritis ketersediaannya. Hal ini disebabkan adanya degradasi hutan mangrove akibat penebangan yang melampaui batas kemampuan kelestariannya. Kegiatan penanaman mangrove di kelurahan Nelayan Indah Kota Medan, sebagai upaya untuk rehabilitasi kawasan setelah banjir rob, tergolong berhasil. Keberhasilan kegiatan penanaman mangrove, tidak hanya tergantung pada pemilihan jenis mangrove yang akan ditanam tetapi juga pemilihan lokasi penanaman harus sesuai bagi pertumbuhan mangrove.

Abstract

The industrial revolution 4.0 is marked by competitive competition and rapid information in all sectors, including human resources. Indonesia is required to have strong competitiveness in order to be able to align itself with other countries. Advances in Information and Communication Technology and the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 must be balanced with a supportive educational curriculum so as to produce Human Resources (HR) who have competence and are able to compete. Curriculum policies must collaborate with students' abilities in the pedagogical dimensions, life skills, the ability to live together (collaboration), critical thinking, and creativity. Students must have soft skills, transversal skills, life skills, and skills that are not directly related to certain work and academic fields.

Abstract

The need for Internet access today is very important. The Internet was a good alternative for finding the latest information, articles, and knowledge. Bandwidth sharing or bandwidth management using a mikrotik router on each host/user is an important part for internet service providers to do. Amir Hamzah High School (SMA) is one of the high schools located in the city of Medan. High school in Indonesia today requires skills in the field of networking. Which bandwidth management divides the network quota either at school or in other public places. Bandwidth is the most important part of a network, therefore bandwidth or bandwidth management is very much taken into account in order to create fast and flexible access in order to maximize internet connection according to the needs in each section, it is necessary to have bandwidth management to share the amount of bandwidth needed. bandwidth management is very easy and efficient to be used by every internet service provider because by using bandwidth each host/user will get bandwidth with the same level or size without disturbing the bandwidth of other users/hosts. This activity is an activity that aims to provide basic bandwidth management training to Amir Hamzah High School students where based on the activities that have been carried out, it was found that 44% of students could apply the training material very well while the other 56% could only apply part of the material presented.Keywords: Community Service, Network, Bandwidth, Mikrotik, Highschool
