Abstract

Foodstuffs are a source of nutrition for humans and as well as a source of food for microorganisms. Microbes can contaminate food through water, dust, air, soil, processing tools (during production or preparation processes, as well as secretions from human and animal guts). Food can be toxic because it has been contaminated by pathogenic bacteria which can then grow and multiply during storage, so the bacteria are able to produce toxins that are harmful to humans. The aimed of this study was to detect the presence of Escherichia coli pathogen in food. This type of research is experimental laboratory using conventional method and multiplex PCR method. 8 positive samples of Escherichia coli ATCC 25922 by conventional method, consisting of 5 samples of tofu; 2 samples of ice syrup and 1 sample iced tea. All positive samples in EMB agar continued Escherichia coli pathogen detection using PCR multiplex method. From the PCR multiplex test, no samples were detected Escherichia coli pathogen

Abstract

Derajat keasaman tubuh dapat mengalami peningkatan (alkalosis) dan penurunan (asidosis) akibat gangguan keseimbangan kation anion serta kegagalan transportasi dan produksi makromolekul sehingga permasalahan suatu fungsi sel dapat terjadi. Afinitas Ferro(Fe2+) yang terikat oleh molekul histidin dalam struktur haemoglobin terhadap oksigen akan terganggu jika pH darah arteri lebih kecil dari 7,35 atau lebih besar dari 7,45. Tingkat gangguan asam basa tubuh dapat diukur menggunakan alat gas darah. Pada saat pertama kali muncul alat gas darah hanya menyajikan hasil pH, pCO2, dan pO2dimana parameter yang lain seperti HCO3, BE, O2saturasi harus diplot terlebih dahulu menggunakan tabel Siggard Anderson. Perkembangan teknologi, mendukung terciptanya alat gas darah yang terintegrasi dengan logaritma bahasa program parameter hitungan, sehingga nilai HCO3,Base Excess Extra Cellular Fluid(BEecf), Base Excess Blood(BEB), O2 saturasi, dan parameter lain dapat termunculkan setelah didapatkan nilai pH, pCO2, dan pO2. Basis penelitian ini adalah pembuatan aplikasi mobile BGA UMAHA versi 0.1.0 yang dapat memberikan hasil interpretasi secara cepat, tepat, praktis, dan murah dengan tambahan inputan suhu tubuh dan kadar Hb pasien untuk mendapatkan nilai BEBase dan O2saturasi yang diperlukan, dengan demikian diharapkan permasalahan stabilitas alat, tingkat kelelahan klinisi dan efisiensi biaya dapat dilakukan. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini adalah aplikasi mobile BGA UMAHA versi 0.1.0 dapat memunculkan parameter hitungan dengan inputan suhu dan kadar Hb dengan akurasi tinggi tanpa dipengaruhi nilai LOD alat serta dapat memunculkan interpretasi hasil.

Abstract

Dengue virus infection is an infectious disease examination which is still quite high in Sampang Regency. On average, cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever spread in 22 villages from 2019-2020. The local health office noted that there were 181 cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever during January to December 2020. The locations and examinations in this study were carried out at the Farmalab Sampang Clinical Laboratory. Data collection is carried out in January 2021 to March 2021. This study aims to determine the description of liver function in patients with suspected Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever. The method used is descriptive analytic with data collection techniques based on laboratory analysis, literature study and observation. The results of the SGOT and SGPT examination showed an increase of 3-10 times in 15 respondents (75%) experiencing an increase in SGOT levels and 16 respondents (80%) SGPT.

Abstract

Menstrual disorders are important indicators that indicate impaired reproductive system function that can be associated with an increased risk of various diseases such as uterine cancer, breast cancer, infertility and diabetes mellitus (DM). This is due to the presence of estrogen receptors on pancreatic cells which will increase insulin release and will be influenced by hormonal changes in the menstrual phase. Blood glucose or blood sugar is the main nutrient used for cell metabolism and energy supply in the body, and regulates and maintains glucose within normal limits.This study aims to determine the differences in fasting blood glucose examination in the follicular phase and the luteal phase in menstruating women. This type of research is descriptive with quantitative laboratory analysis techniques, namely calculating fasting blood glucose levels. The material used for this test was the blood of patients as many as 10 samples for the follicular phase and the luteal phase. The results obtained in the follicular phase with results that were not much different from normal values, while in the luteal phase the results slightly increased from the normal value of 70-110 mg/dL and the results obtained a difference in percentage with the results of 13%.
