Abstract

Kelas Ibu Balita adalah kelas para ibu yang mempunyai anak berusia antar 0-5 tahun secara bersama sama berdiskusi, tukar pendapat, tukar pengalaman akan pemenuhan pelayanan kesehatan, gizi dan stimulasi pertumbuhan dan perkembangannya dibimbing oleh fasilitator dengan menggunakan buku KIA. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan ibu memberikan stimulasi tumbuh kembang  anak melalui pelaksanaan  program Kelas Ibu Balita. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Posyandu wilayah Desa Sukawati. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan metoda  ceramah, wawancara dan observasi. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat dari karakteristik sasaran menunjukan   rata- rata berusia 29,77 tahun, dengan tingkat pendidikan ibu sebagian besar pada jenjang pendidikan menengah.  Sebelum pelaksanaan Kelas Ibu Balita pengetahuan, sikap, keterampilan maupun kemampuan yang didiidentifikasi dari ketiga asfek tersebut hanya sebagian kecil dalam katagori baik. Ada perbedaan kemampuan ibu dalam memberikan stimulasi tumbuh kembangan sebelum dan sesudah  mengikuti Kelas Ibu Balita. Disarankan agar Kelas Ibu Balita dilaksanakan secara rutin mengikuti jadwal Posyandu. Kata Kunci ; Kelas Ibu Balita- Kemampuan Ibu- Stimulasi tumbuh kembang

Abstract

In Indonesia, family celebrations fall ill with 36% of children getting sick while traveling. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of family tourists to the implementation of parenting health education during the Covid-19 pandemic at the Kids Club Hotel Nusa Dua in 2022. This research was conducted in March-April 2022 using the correlation method with the approach used, namely cross-sectional. The sample used was 106 family tourists who brought their children to visit the Kids Club Hotel Nusa Dua using the Purposive Sampling technique. Statistical testing using Spearman rank correlation test. The characteristics of the elderly respondents obtained were the average age of respondents from family tourists 26-35 years, 58% with the most gender being 70.8% female. characteristics of visitors aged 6 years 36% with male gender 60%. Activities carried out when children visit the Kids Club as much as 50% carry out the main activity, namely playing games that have been prepared at the Kids Club. Holiday levels. Family tourists' concerns about the implementation of parenting health education have a significant relationship with the p value = 0.001 (0.05). So it is necessary to provide counseling to tourists so that they can control so that anxiety disorders do not occur so that they carry out parental health education to the maximum.

Abstract

Background : Tourism in Bali is also followed by positive and negative impacts on the Balinese people. The positive impact is such as the large number of jobs that are able to absorb labor, while the negative impact is the emergence of social issues such as human trafficking which can threaten the young generation of Bali. Method : Activities by providing education about human trafficking. And provide life skills training. Target adolescents, both those who attend school and drop out of school. Result : Lentera Anak Bali (LAB) is an independent non-profit organization engaged in child protection to obtain their rights. LAB sees the importance of these children’s problems by involving the local government, social services, education offices, health offices and community leaders. In an effort to build awareness of the vulnerability of these children and make preventive education efforts against the possibility of being caught in human trafficking,by conducting outreach to officials, the caring community, and the youth themselves.These adolescents are given education on safe life skills (free of prostitution),understanding of human trafficking, education on health and welfare, and examination of reproductive organs. With this facilitation, it is hoped that they can protect themselves and become counselors for their teenage friends. Conclusion : this activity can increase public understanding of the danger of human trafficking. (1) There is a group of young urban workers who receive assistance from the human trafficking prevention team. (2) Youth groups who received training on safe life skills (prostitution free), understanding of human trafficking, health education, and examination of reproductive organs.

Abstract

Introduction: The purpose of this research is to know the effect of “cards in pairs” games to the students’ knowledge of personal safety skill to prevent from sexual violence. Methods: The kind of this research is Pre-Experimental Design with the layout was One-Group Pretest-Posttest used stratified random sampling, with 90 samples. Results: The result of this research showed that the students’ knowledge of personal safety skill before giving the game mostly in the category enough that was 35 people (38,9%) and after giving the game showed that the knowledge of personal safety skill were increase to the students with the most results of the students in the category good that was 69 people (76,7%). The result of this research tested by Wilcoxon test, the obtained value p-value = 0,000<alpha (0,05), then it could be concluded that there was impact by giving sexual education and self-protection from sexual violence with “cards in pairs” games media Conclusion: According the result of the research, it is recommended to the teacher in the school to improve giving the self-protection materials by applying the media “cards in pairs” game, which has an impact on this research.

Abstract

Autism is a serious developmental disorder, its impact on certain nervous systems causing certain difficulties commonly affect one’s difficulty with communication and social interaction. Interpersonal communication and sibling support need to be observed in the development of children with autism This study examined the relation between interpersonal communication and sibling support on social interaction of children with autism. We drew data with a sample population of 32 children on the autism spectrum. We use cross sectional approach to study it’s correlation. Our result found that interpersonal relations (X1) correlate to social interaction (Y) with a r-score of 0.764 which can be concluded that there was a positive correlation between interpersonal communication and social interaction. We also found that sibling support (X2) correlation to social interaction with a r-score of 0.284 which is lesser than r-table of 0.349, meaning that there was no correlation between sibling support to social interaction of children with autism. Finding underscore the crucial problem of children with autism was their difficulties on social interactions. Interpersonal communication and siblings support that they had doesn’t always translate to the development of social skill in children with autism. Parent involvement was an important aspect on the development of social skills.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic in which all countries limit activities that require gathering togothet. So that more communication and meetings are caried out in cyberspace. Many fields are forced to carry out activities online. One of those affected is learning in schools which can no longer be carried out in school building. Online learning directs student to learn through gadgets, such as smartphones, tablets, computer or laptops. The use of gadgets during the Covid-19 pandemic increased dramatically among junior high school students. The use of the gadgets, with duration, frequency, position, and lighting intensity certainly has an impact on visual acuity in children. This study aims to determine the relationship between the use of gadgets and visual acuity during the Covid-19 pandemic in students. The type of research is non-experimental with correlation design and cross sectional design. The sample in this study amounted to 180 people using a probability sampling technique, namely simple random sampling. Data collection uses a questionnaires about the duration of using the gadget via Google Form in WhatsApp and offline data collection. Visual acuity was measured using the Snellen Chart. The results showed that the most age of respondents was 14 years (74.4%), the most gender was male (63,3%), the use of gadgets was classified as always (41,7%), and visual acuity was classified as normal (85,6%). Hypothesis testing using Spearman rank with α = 0.05. There is relationship between the use of gadgets and visual acuity in VIII grade class student with value of p=0,003. The value of r=0,525 shows a strong correlation between gadgets use and the visual acuity of students. Respondents are expected to know the impact of using the wrong gadget, so as not to damage vision health, their eyesight.

Abstract

Efforts to produce quality healthy and intelligent children are a priority for the national development program. In achieving this goal, of course, requires the involvement of many parties. The strategic thing is to empower families to be able to provide and carry out optimal and proper parenting for their children. So far, toddler development monitoring services have been carried out at Posyandu. The quality of services at Posyandu can be improved by involving families/parents in it, with the family empowerment movement. Purpose: Optimizing parental guidance for children in their growth period. To help emotional maturity and independence in facing life by applying proper parenting. Method: Mechanism of community service actifities (1) We introduces ourselves to the person in charge, cadre, parents of toddlers at the Posyandu, conveys information, explains the purpose and procedure of “Studying at My Children’s Home.” (2) Conduct a pre test to asses parental knowledge about family empowerment in child rearing efforts. (3) Carrying out educational/health counseling interventions regarding parental knowledge about family empowermwnt in children efforts, packaged with “Studying at My Children’s Home” activities. (4) Carrying out a post test after the intervention. (5) Analyzing data. Results: From 140 respondents, 93 people or 66.43% got good benefits. 37 people or 26.43% got sufficient benefits, and 10 people or 7.14% did not get significant benefits from “Studying at My Children’s Home” activity. Conclusion: The “Studying at My Children’s Home” activity gives a new situation to the counseling method in society or the community. With 3 (three) main activities (1) modeling/give examples (2) Repetition and (3) Reinforcement/strengthening for something good. At the end of this community service activity, it was generally found and increase in family understanding and empowerment in childcare.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk membantu anak-anak SD memahami dan memiliki ketrampilan perlindungan diri dari kekerasan seksual. Kegiatan menggunakan metode pembelajaran dengan media kartu gambar berpasangan dilaksanakan di kelas yang terstruktur. Pendidikan ketrampilan mengenai seksualitas, berisikan materi yang bertujuan untuk mengurangi risiko kekerasan seksual pada murid sedolah dasar. Hasil kegiatan didapat adanya peningkatan pemahaman anak tentang perlindungan diri, keamanan serta keselamatan seksual, sebelum dan setelah pembelajaran dengan media kartu berpasangan. Sebelum belajar, mereka yang memiliki pemahaman baik ada 62,5%, kemudian mengalami peningkatan menjadi 87,5%. Jika sebelumnya, 28,57% anak memiliki pemahaman cukup, menurun menjadi 8,9%. Begitu juga pada anak yang memiliki pemahaman kurang. Selanjutnya tim pengabdi menggali apa yang dibutuhkan dan diperlukan pihak sekolah untuk membantu ketika menemukan murid yang mendapatkan perlakuan tidak menyenangkan terkait seksual. Dari hasil diskusi, menghasilkan panduan yang dapat membantu anak-anak untuk mendapatkan perlindungan.

Abstract

At the present time, it is found that there are fundamental changes in almost all families. Many reported cases found discriminating women and children. In discussing children, there are many violations to the safeguard of children. And it happened in their families. Problems occur due to many factors, among others, the increasing role of older people in society, ignorance of the family in performing care for children in the current circumstances. Parents need guidance and direction in helping their children to grow and develop. This study aims to find a simple guide to help parents exercising their role optimally in order to protect children and help them to grow in intelligence and independence. A provision needed by children to face their future. Based on the above background, it can be formulated research problem which is "Do the Family Care is an effort to develop intelligence and independence of children-adolescents in Karangasem Regency and Denpasar City." The purpose of this study is to obtain a simple guidance to family care models in an effort to develop intelligence and independence of children-adolescents in Karangasem Regency and Denpasar City. The research design was quasi-experiment, with pre-post test design. It was done by Paired test and independent t-test. The obtained results with a Paired test, treatment group at STT Dharma Yowana, of Denpasar, it was found that there are significant differences in the variables of emotional intelligence (p = 0.000) and independence (p = 0.000). The treatment group at STT Dharma Bhakti, of Karangasem, showed that no significant difference in emotional intelligence variables (p = 0.010) and independence (p = 0.007). The t-test on independent variables differentiates the treatment groups in both places. After assisting the family, it did not show significant differences in emotional intelligence (p = 0.706). It is also on the independent variable, with p = 0.113, showed that no significant difference. These results show that emotional intelligence and independence of teenagers are more affected by family or parental care, compared to the neighborhood. The expected benefits families can apply the model of appropriate care for children, adolescents to cultivate intelligence and independence children-teenage. Results of research can be a concept of development materials of appropriate care model for children-adolescents to cultivate intelligence and independence of children-adolescents.
