Abstract

The design of bags, chairs, chargers and tables is intended for commuter workers who carry out mobility activities every day. Design works that help to support commuter worker activities use a multi-functional system. The multi-function system is indicate by the shape and features attached. This product design method uses several stages including; 1) problem identification; 2) literature study: 3) design sketches, and: 4) design. The design results are turned into chairs, tables for lesehan (sitting on the floor) and bags. In addition, the other things are the storage box to store equipments for commuter workers while doing mobility and a solar cell which functions to capture sunlight which will be converted into electrical energy for energy sources to charge cellphones. Design works can be used in accordance with their respective functions. Design works carry the principle of multifunction, easy use, strong, lightweight and flexible. It is hoped that the design for this multi-functional products can be practical in use in the development of creative industries, and can overcome environmental pollution problems. From a theoretical perspective, it can be a reference for academics and science.

Abstract

quantity of products. improving the competitiveness of partners in facing the global market. The intended development includes; design, HRM, tools, management, strategy and marketing materials. Partners of this devotion activity is Haryono Wood Craft in Serenan, Kalten and Luphy craft located in Pedan Klaten, Central Java Province. The prospect of product development of wood-based wasted fabrics is very good and in demand by consumers widely. The limited ability of human resources, business networks, and the limited equipment and dependence of the finishing process on the weather cause the partners are less able to take advantage of opportunities to develop this business with the maximum. After accompaniment, the partners are expected to be able to become more powerful craftsmen, so as to increase the production, design quality, to increase the selling value of the product, so as to increase the family’s income, then more to absorb the labor that comes from the surrounding community. Community service activities are carried out during the period of one year. The planned activities are; workshop on the use of production tools with appropriate technology, management training, marketing-making workshop, and product development design workshops that are in demand by the market. After getting a good touch of design, proper management, modernization of production tools, attractive promotional media is expected to increase the competitiveness of partners in the face of the market.Keywords: design development, handicraft, wood waste

Abstract

This Community Service Program activity aims to develop the ability of craftsmen in improving product quality and quantity. improve the competitiveness of the targeted partners in facing market challenges. The intended development includes; design, implementation of technology, marketing, strategy, and marketing materials. Partners of community service activities are Nasrafa located in Jebres Subdistrict, 2 kilometers from ISI Surakarta and Kaftan Art located in Mojolaban Sukoharjo Regency, Central Java Province, 6 kilometers from ISI Surakarta. The prospect of developing this handicraft product is very good and in demand by wide consumers, some have taken out of the country. The limited ability of human resources, business networks, and the limited equipment and dependence of the finishing process on the weather cause the partners are less able to take advantage of opportunities to develop this business with the maximum. Abstract

Furniture is an important tool used as a supporter for the smooth activities of teaching and learning in schools. Furniture that does not meet the rules of accessibility and ergonomics can cause the activities of its users to be disturbed. Research Beginner Lecturers aims to determine the accessibility and ergonomics of furniture in early childhood / kindergarten Al Abidin in Surakarta. Research is used to find out whether students have difficulty or ease when using the furniture. Ergonomic measurement is important to see if the object is suitable dimensinya with the needs required by the user, especially for students PAUD Al Abidin Surakarta. The object of research is the furniture contained in PAUD Al Abidin Surakarta. The method used in descriptive with qualitative approach supported by quantitative data (numeric), or can also be called double research strategy that is use of various method in solving a research problem. Quantitafif here uses numerical data which is the result of field measurement, then compared with referenced references, resource persons and analyzed based on researcher interpretation. The results of this novice lecturer’s research is accessibility data and implementation of ergonomics science that can be used as input to the manager PAUD Al Abidin IN Surakarta. The results of this novice lecturer’s study is also expected to provide the content of Egonomi, Interior Design and Furniture on Interior Design Study Program ISI Surakarta.

Abstract

Souvenir is one of the media used as a support for the promotion of tourism objects. Good souvenir productsin addition to increasing the economic value of the product, can also be used as a medium of imaging a touristattraction in order to attract visitors to come and make visits. This applied research aims to find out souvenirproducts from traders in the Sangiran Museum, then a new souvenir design is carried out in accordance withthe demands of the function, economy, culture and image of the Sangiran Museum attractions. Souvenirdesigns made are expected to function well in supporting the appearance of the Sangiran Museum’s distinctiveproducts, in the end it is hoped that there will be additional transactions so as to increase the sales turnover ofsouvenir sellers in the Sangiran Museum environment. The design is based on the rules of the functions ofuse, safe and economical, environmentally friendly and has a distinctive character according to tourist destinationsin the Sangiran Museum. The object of applied design research is souvenir products at the SangiranMuseum, the method used in this study is descriptive with a qualitative approach supported by quantitativedata or also called multiple research strategies. Quantitative here uses data that is the result of observationsin the field, then compared with referenced references, resource persons and analyzed based on researchers’interpretation, then the design activities begin with the product discovery stage to obtain the results of innovationin the product design process. The results of this applied research are in the form of design and souvenirmoke up in accordance with the rules; the function, economy, beauty, locality and image of the SangiranMuseum. The results of the applied research are also expected to provide enrichment of the Interior AccessoriesCourse in the Interior Design Study Program, ISI Surakarta.

Abstract

The lamp is one of the elements of interior conditioning, aromatherapy decorative lights in addition to beingused as lighting, can also be used to create an interior atmosphere. Aromatherapy decorative lights can bedeveloped into other functions that can support the activities of human needs in the interior, some of which arefor health and comfort. This artistic research is intended to make lighting products using wood that has notbeen utilized to the full. This artistic research is also trying to develop other materials which are still rarely usedoptimally, namely ultra violet lamps and essential oils. Essential oils are available in many tropical environmentswhile this is only used by the community as a medicinal ingredient and cooking spice. This artisticresearch activity begins with product discovery until innovation results are obtained in the product designprocess. The first stage in this published research is to determine the objects needed then conduct analysisand synthesis, then carry out the planning process in accordance with the needs of recovery, health andcomfort. This artistic creation is also trying to utilize the pallet wood waste that is commonly found at loadingand unloading locations of freight forwarding which is then combined with sonokeling wood as the main materialof the lamp. The results of this artistic study consist of several designs of Aromatherapy Decorative Lampsthat are used as room lighting elements, decorative elements and as aromatherapy media. The results of thisartistic research are also expected to provide sifting on the material for the MK Interior Design and MK. InteriorAccessories Design in the Interior Design Study Program at the Indonesian Art Institute in Surakarta.

Abstract

A furniture is an important tool that is used to support the smooth running of teaching and learning activities in schools. The outbreak of covid-19 has made people have to rearrange their distance in interacting so that the spread of covid-19 can be suppressed. This applied research is used to create new designs so that students and therapists can easily access the furniture and feel comfortable when using the furniture. User activities (students and teachers) and ergonomic measurements are very important to see whether the object is to the needs needed by the user, especially for preventing the spread of covid-19.The object of applied research is furniture contained in Special Needs School Autism AGCA Surakarta. The method used in descriptive with a qualitative approach supported by quantitative data can also be called a double research strategy, namely the use of various methods in solving a research problem. The quantififive here uses numerical data which is the result of measurements in the field, then compared with references referenced, sources, and analyzed based on the researcher's interpretation. The results of this applied research are in the form of a new design that can be used as input to the managers of Special Needs School Autistic AGCA Surakarta and similar Special Needs Schools. Abstract

The Community Partnership Program "Empowerment of UMKM Empowerment of Educational Game Tools Affected by a Pandemic in Wonorejo" aims to increase the competitiveness of fostered partners in facing a wider market. The first partner for this community service activity is UKM APE Otak-atik, this UKM has a segmentation in the general public as well as book and stationery shops located in the Wonorejo area, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java. The potential for developing APE products (Educative Game Tools) is still very wide open. Limited human resource capabilities, business networks, and limitations in the number and type of equipment prevent partners from taking advantage of existing opportunities. After the assistance is given, it is hoped that the partners will be able to become more resilient craftsmen. Partners can develop the design, production, market, and selling value of products, to increase family income, then absorb more labor from the surrounding community. This community service activity was carried out for eight months. Activities carried out in the form of; equipment grants for the use of production equipment with appropriate technology, management training, and online sales training. After getting a touch of good design, good management, modernization of production equipment, promotional media, and online sales, it is expected to be able to increase the competitiveness of partners in facing the free market.

Abstract

This Community-Based Empowerment Scheme community service program seeks to empower MSME groups in Kadipiro Village, Banjarsari District, Surakarta City. The partner of this activity is the PAPINE MAS WIRO MSME Group which engaged in culinary sector, both food and snacks. When it was first established, this group received an enthusiastic response from MSME members and residents. However, its development has declined, so the partner hopes that with this activity the Papine Mas Wiro MSME Group will get a better income. Efforts that were made including design and social media utilization for promotion, online sales as an alternative, designing good packaging, and designing attractive booths to attract visitors in making purchases. The methods used in community service activities are lectures, discussions, training, monitoring, and partner mentoring. Training included creating visual promotional content, creating product promotional videos, and online sales training through the marketplace, as well as copywriter training. The benefits obtained by partners are increased skills, increasing sales turnover and improving the partner's economy. From the implementation of this activity, it was found that: 1) a social media to market Papine Mas Wiro MSME products was established as a means of introducing and marketing products from these MSME actors, and 2) Papine Mas Wiro MSME actors aware of the importance of attractive designs to be uploaded on social media.
