Abstract

A language is a tool of communication. English is an international language in the world. Education training place is a place to civil servants follows training, which handles by educators in that place whereas following by adults people especially for Religious Ministary Affairs. So, when training in the process, educators professionalism is very important to delivered the materials for the participants and all the elements are using language, but especially for educators when they using English. A language is a tool of communication, how far our understanding in English, and how far we can use it.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan tentang komukasi interaktif melalui metode CAS-CIS-CUS. Masalah pada tulisan ini adalah, apakah penggunaan metode CAS-CIS-CUS dapat meningkatkan komunikasi yang interaktif? Tujuan penuisan ini adalah, menjelaskan penggunaan metode CAS-CIS-CUS untuk meningkatkan komunikasi interaktif dalam menyampaikan isi pesan. Sedangkan metode penelitian pada penulisan ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskritif, dimana penulis menggambarkan phenomena, gejala dan peristiwa yang terjadi dalam komunikasi interaktif dengan menggunakan metode CAS-CIS-CUS. Hasil pada penulisan ini menunjukan bahwa; komunikasi interaktif dengan metode CAS-CIS-CUS dapat meningkatkan komunikasi yang interaktif, dengan hasil meunjukan, pendengar mampu memahami isi pesan dari pembicara, karena pembicara menggunakan bahasa bilingual dalam melakukan komunikasi. Dimana, sipembicara menggunakan codeswitching (bilingual) pada saat dan tempat yang berbeda, dengan demikian isi pesan yang dikunikasikan secara interaktif dapat diterima dan mudah dicerna dengan baik.

Abstract

Religious counselor is the government spearhead in regional agency, the occurrence of conflict, terrorism, radicalism and blaming each other, thus technological developments make the community contaminated with these developments. This paper aims to describe the role of instructors to attempt these problems. Radical threats nowadays are widespread in Indonesian society, which is carried out by groups of radicalism, fundamentalism, extremists and others. Radicalism act always causing unpleasant, can also cause widespread conflict, even lead to a series of acts of terror, bombing in several areas. This kind of violence must be prevented as early as possible.

Abstract

Moderation is an important aspect in education since it can contribute to democratic education. The educational system in Indonesia needs to consider implementing the concept of moderation, especially in Islamic Schools. For this purpose, this research aims at exploring the models of moderation in Islamic Schools in Makassar. This research focuses on exploring Teaching English through models of moderation at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 in Makassar. The subject of the study is an English teacher and the students of one Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 in Makassar. This study employed an ethnographic research design. The researchers applied observation, interview, note-taking, and documentation of English teachers in exploring the implementation of moderation-based instruction in teaching English.

Abstract

Moderation is vital in education because it can help foster democratic education. Indonesia's educational system should explore including the concept of moderation, particularly in Islamic schools. This research intends to examine how moderation is implemented in an Islamic school. The purpose of this research is to examine the adoption of moderation-based instruction in the teaching of English at Islamic Senior High School. The study's subjects are English instructors and learners of Islamic Senior High School in Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The ethnographic research design was used in this study. Observation, interview, note-taking, and documentation were employed to English teachers to explore the implementation of moderation-based instruction in English language teaching. This study found that English teachers always consider a modification in formulating learning indicators and objectives in the moderation-based instruction in teaching English. In formulating the learning indicators and objectives, teachers are always fair, do not take sides with one or a group of students, are adjusted to conditions that are suitable for students and the school environment and facilities, are not excessive, and always stay away from goals that can lead to violence. This study is expected to contribute to professional knowledge about how to adopt moderation in English language instruction in Islamic schools in Indonesia, as well as provide insights for policymakers and help improve the quality of English language instruction at the secondary school level

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan dan mendeskripsikan cara Guru Bahasa Inggris menggunakan media di MTsN Model Makassar melakukan  proses  belajar-mengajar di kelas. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dan studi kasus dengan desain. Subjek penelitian ini adalah dua guru bahasa Inggris yang mengajar di kelas tiga dan siswa kelas tiga dari dua kelas yang berbeda. Instrumen utama penelitian adalah peneliti itu sendiri. Dalam melengkapi data digunakan pedoman wawancara, dan catatan lapangan. Data dan sumber datanya adalah apa yang dilakukan guru di kelas mengenai pertanyaan penelitian. Data tambahan juga diambil dari siswa yang menggunakan wawancara. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Temuan  penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa guru menggunakan berbagai macam media pembelajaran, yaitu; laptop, papan tulis, dan lembar kerja siswa.

Abstract

The objectives of the research were to find out the effectiveness of using poetry in teaching vocabulary to the second year students of SMP Negeri 5 Leihitu and students’ interest in learning vocabulary by using poetry. The researcher applied quasi-experimental method using non-equivalent control class design. The population of this research was the second year students of SMP Negeri 5 Leihitu in academic year 2019/2020. The samples were classes VIII B and VIII C randomly selected as the experimental class and the control class. The experimental class was treated by using poetry while the control class was taught without poetry. The data were collected through vocabulary test and questionnaire. The result of the data analysis showed that there was significant difference between the students who were taught by using poetry and without poetry.  The mean score of the experimental class is higher than the control class in the post test.  Moreover, the result of the test indicated that the use of poetry significantly affects the students’ achievement. Then, analysis using Likert Scale shows that students are interested in learning vocabulary through poetry. It is proved by 84% students are high interest. Based on the result of analysis, the researcher concluded that the use of poetry was effective in teaching vocabulary to the second year students of SMP Negeri 5 Leihitu in academic year 2019/2020 and the students were interested in learning vocabulary by using poetry.

Abstract

This study aims at portrying and describing the way the English Teachers of MTsN Model Makassar conduct the learning-teaching process in the clasroom used instructionals materials. This is a descriptive with qualitative research design. The subjects of the study are English teachers, who teach in the third grade and the students of the third grade from two different classrooms. The main instrument of the study is the researcher himself. In completing the data, interview guide, and field-notes are used. The data and sources of the data are what the teachers do in classrooms concerning the research questions. The additional data are also taken from the students by means interview and recording. The finding of the study reveals that the teachers use various sources of the instructional materials. Most of the books used cover the four language skills, they are; listening, reading, speaking, and writing. The teachers use various kinds of the instructional media

Abstract

This study aims to explain the Moderate Teachers pasca Pandemic Covid-19 at Madrasah. The method in this paper is, ethnography to explain the language, culture, customs, and habits. The result of this research is; Moderate teachers always consider modification and formulating learning indicators and objectives in the moderation itself in pandemic Covid-19. Abstract

This study aims to explain that education in Madrasah Aliyah Baytul Mukarramah feels like a boarding school. The existence of pesantren is an appropriate partner for government institutions to work with in order to mutually improve the quality of existing education as a foundation for carrying out social transformation through the provision of competent human resources and good morals. Furthermore, the process of social transformation in the period of autonomy necessitates regions being more sensitive in researching local potentials and people's wants in order to optimize society's current capacities. As a result, Islamic boarding schools strive hard to correct all of their flaws and incorporate new features that meet the needs of today's students. This is due to the fact that the Islamic boarding school education model based on traditional or classical systems will not be of much assistance in creating human resources with integrated competencies in acquiring religious knowledge, general knowledge, and technology skills
