<![CDATA[Matematika sekolah merupakan mata pelajaran yang dipelajari pada setiap jenjang pendidikan. Pada pembelajarannya ditemukan permasalahan kemampuan komunikasi lisan matematis siswa masih rendah. Selain itu, materi garis singgung juga dianggap sulit oleh siswa. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIIB, VIIIC, dan VIIID SMP Negeri 2 Demak. Kelas eksperimen adalah kelas VIIIE yang menggunakan pembelajaran Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP). Teknik pengumpulan datanya dengan tes tertulis, pengamatan, dan tes lisan. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal tes, lembar pengamatan, dan lembar penskoran tes lisan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata skor kemampuan komunikasi lisan matematis siswa pada kelas eksperimen telah mencapai minimal skor ketuntasan individu. Berdasarkan pengujian proporsi diperoleh hasil kelas eksperimen telah mencapai ketuntasan klasikal. Hasil tersebut diperkuat dengan hasil uji perbedaan rata-rata. Rata-rata perolehan skor kemampuan komunikasi lisan matematis siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi jika dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Dari hasil pengolahan data dengan SPSS 17.00 for windows diperoleh rata-rata perolehan skor kemampuan komunikasi lisan matematis kelas eksperimen adalah 32,5 sedangkan untuk kelas kontrol 22,2667. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) efektif pada pencapaian kemampuan komunikasi lisan matematis siswa.Mathematic is a subject which learned in every levelâs education. There is a problem that found in mathematicâs learning. The ability of verbal communication in mathematics is low. Moreover, the students find that the tangent circle is the difficultâs subject. The samples of this research is the students of VIIIB, VIIIC, and VIIIE in SMP Negeri 2 Demak. The experimentâs class is VIIIE that use Missouri Mathematics Project learning. To accumulate the data is used test, observation, and verbal test. Instrument which used is questions for the test, observationâs sheet, and the scoring sheet for verbal test. The result of research are mean of the verbal communicationâs scores of experiment class is fulfill the individualâs exhaustiveness. Based on the proportionâs check, experiment class is fulfill the clasicalâs exhaustiveness. Not only that, based on the independent t test mean of the verbal communicationâs scores of experiment class is more than control class. SPSS 17.00 for windows is used to process the data, and the result is mean of the experiment class is 32,5 and mean of the control class is 22,2667. So, the conclusion is Missouri Mathematics Project learning is effective to reach verbal communication in mathematics.]]>
