Abstract

The sexual problem became a sensitive issue and embarrassed among patients, especially among those who are living with diabetes. The study aimed to dig up deeply the experience of male patients with diabetes mellitus type 2 who underwent sexual dysfunction. The qualitative study with phenomenology approach was applied in this study. We collected the data by using an interview method. Fifteen samples were recruited using the purposive sampling technique and selected from Endocrine Polyclinic Martha Friska Hospital. The interview transcriptions were analyzed using the qualitative content analysis approach. Four themes related to the patients’ experience on sexual dysfunction have been analyzed in this study including 1) feeling that the sexual libido was high in the midst of the limitation of sexual dysfunction, 2) inferior feelings toward mates, 3) attempting to adapt to sexual changes, 4) trying to solve sexual problems in different ways. The participant had bad experience wich influence their quality of life with their partner. We suggested to the health care providers, including doctors, nurses, etc. to design the cultural program for addressing the sexual problem and completed the facilities for sexual favors. Abstract

Infeksi saluran kemih merupakan salah satu infeksi yang paling banyak terjadi di pelayanan kesehatan terutama disebabkan akibat pemasangan kateter. Terjadinya infeksi saluran kemih diakibatkan oleh beberapa faktor resiko.Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui faktor resiko penyebab infeksi saluran kemih pada pasien terpasang kateter dengan menggunakan Systematic review. Systematic review dilakukan dengan pencarian dari pada elektronik database CINAHL, Proquest, Google Scholar, dan Science Direct yang bersumber dari tahun 2012 sampai 2018. Kata kunci yang digunakan meliputi catheter, urinary tract infection, risc factor. 180 arikel yang didapatkan, 53 artikrel yang direview dan hanya 10 artikel yang sesuai dengan kriteria. Faktor resiko penyebab infeksi saluran kemih pada pasien terpasang kateter, yaitu durasi penggunaan kateter, usia, jenis kelamin, diabetes melitus dan sistem drainase. Berbagai faktor resiko menyebabkan terjadinya infeksi saluran kemih akibat pemasangan kateter akan tetapi infeksi tersebut dapat dicegah dan menurunkan angka infeksinya sehingga dapat menentukan intervensi yang tepat unruk melakukan pencegahan terhadap angka infeksi. Kata kunci: faktor resiko, infeksi saluran kemih, kateter RISK INFECTION RISK INFECTION FACTORS DUE TO USE OF CATERETERS ABSTRACT Urinary tract infection is one of the most common infections in health services mainly due to catheter placement. The occurrence of urinary tract infections is caused by a number of recipe factors. The purpose of the study is to determine the risk factors for urinary tract infections in patients with catheters using Systematic review. Systematic review is done by searching the electronic databases of CINAHL, Proquest, Google Scholar, and Science Direct from 2012 to 2018. Keywords used include catheters, urinary tract infections, risk factors. 180 aricles obtained, 53 articels reviewed and only 10 articles that match the criteria. Risk factors for urinary tract infections in patients with catheters, namely duration of catheter use, age, sex, diabetes mellitus and drainase system. Various risk factors cause urinary tract infections due to catheter installation but these infections can be prevented and reduce the number of infections so that they can determine the right intervention to prevent infection rates. Abstract

Stroke survivors in Indonesia depend on their families to meet their daily needs. Therefore, the function of family caregivers in stroke patients is essential in helping to meet their needs. This study aims to determine family caregivers' lived experiences for post-stroke patients. The study design was a qualitative descriptive phenomenology with a sample of 6 participants recruited by purposive sampling. Instruments include semi-structured questions, field notes, and a voice recorder. Data was analysed using the thematic content analysis method. This study was conducted from October 2021 to February 2022 at the Gisting Health Center, Tanggamus Regency, Lampung Province, Indonesia. The study found three main themes and seven sub-themes. The themes were knowledge of stroke (sub-themes: stroke disease and stroke management), seeking treatment (sub-themes: following community habits, drug therapy according to what is felt useful, alternative therapies produced by factories), and Difficulty in taking care (sub-themes: difficulties caring for patients at home and efforts to solve the difficulties). In conclusion, caregivers have Difficulty taking care of post-stroke patients at home and in the community. Nurses can participate as nurses in community health centres and family health nurses in providing comprehensive care and educating caregivers on how to take care of post-stroke patients properly.                                                                                                                                                                  Â
