Abstract

This study departs from the background of the need for reform in the development of the creativity of teachers to teach mathematics in the management of the learning process as aresponse to the weakening of the quality of student learning. Through this research is expected the teachers to play a role as an innovator of learning. This research was conducted in MAN 1Bengkulu by three cycles. From the observations, student activities increased from 69% to 74% in the second cycle to 85% in the third cycle. Meanwhile, the results of daily tests showed an increase of the average - average of 5.48 on a daily test of unity becomes the average - average of 6.53 in the second daily test and be average - average 7.33 on a third daily test.Keywords: management, learning, STAD

Abstract

The purpose of this study was conducted to determine the effect of Problem Based Learning aided interactive learning media on the ability of understanding the concepts, communication skills and mathematical reasoning abilities in the class X IPS MAN 1 City of Bengkulu. This research is quasi experiment research. The data collection is done by using a test sheet reasoning ability, the ability of understanding the concept and communicationskills. The results showed that the influences of the problem based learning model of interactive learning media aided the understanding of the concept of mathematical ability of students by 34.8%. There is the influence of problem based learning model of media-aided interactive learning to students' mathematical communication skills by 45,2 %. There is the influence of problem based learning model of media-aided interactive learning to students' mathematical reasoning abilities by 45%. There is a problem based learning model of the effect on the ability of students' mathematical reasoning by 42,5%. There is a model of the effect of problem based learning to the students' mathematical communication skills by 25.8%. There is a problem based learning model of the effect on the ability of students' understanding of mathematical concepts by 22.5%. There is the influence of the application of conventional learning aided interactive learning media on mathematical communication skills by 15,78 %. Effect of the application of conventional learning aided interactive learning media on mathematical reasoning  skills was 24,89 %. Effect of the application of conventional learning aided interactive learning media on mathematical understanding the concepts was 16,74%. Keywords:  problem based learning, interactive learning media, mathematical communication, understanding the concept, mathematical reasoning.

Abstract

Bengkulu Province is one of the areas in Indonesia that often experiences landslides, especially during the rainy season. Therefore it is necessary to have landslide disaster mitigation education for students. The purpose of this study was to design integrated natural science learning for landslide relief. The method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection through teacher interviews, syllabus analysis, and literature study. Then the data obtained were analyzed to obtain a learning design. The results of this study are science learning designs that are integrated with landslide disaster mitigation. The concept of IPA that can be inserted is motion, namely Newton's law, where landslides occur due to movement in the ground. The learning process can be carried out using the STEM approach with the PJBL (Project Based Learning) model. So that this learning design will be contextual because it relates to everyday life. This learning design will later make working in groups in designing simple student technology as a response to landslide disasters. It is hoped that after learning students will more easily understand the concept of science because it is integrated with landslide disasters which are close to their lives and can apply it in everyday life.
