Abstract

The rapid growth of hospitals has intensified competition in the hospital business, making it increasingly challenging. This situation necessitates the need to ensure that patients return to the same hospital, in other words, the need to enhance repeat visitation interest, which has a significant impact on the hospital's business sustainability. This research was conducted due to a significant decrease in the number of outpatient visits at Gandaria Hospital. The study aims to analyze the influencing factors on repeat visitation interest at Gandaria Hospital, with repeat visitation interest as the dependent variable, word of mouth, and social media as independent variables, and brand image as an intervening variable. This research employs a quantitative approach with data analysis techniques, specifically descriptive analysis using Excel & SPSS software and Path Analysis using AMOS software. The sample size, calculated according to Hair's formula, consists of 75 outpatient patients. The results of hypothesis testing indicate that word of mouth and social media have a significant positive impact on repeat visitation interest. Social media has a greater influence compared to word of mouth on repeat visitation interest. The brand image variable is proven to be an intervening variable between word of mouth and repeat visitation interest but not between social media and repeat visitation interest.

Abstract

Patient loyalty is an attitude that drives behavior to return to using the services of a hospital, incorporating emotional aspects, particularly making regular and repeated visits with high consistency. This study aims to obtain empirical evidence of the relationship between brand image, patient experience, and trust on the loyalty of inpatients using private insurance at MRCCC Siloam Semanggi Hospital. The background of this research is the trend of decreasing patient numbers in 2023 among those with private payment and non-JKN insurance. Additionally, secondary data from patient feedback forms revealed some patients were dissatisfied with services not meeting their expectations and showed a tendency to switch hospitals. Based on the data, there is a noticeable decline in the number of patients in the inpatient unit, reflecting an issue with patient loyalty towards MRCCC Siloam Hospital. The research design used is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design, involving 75 inpatients as the subjects of this study. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to inpatients randomly, with informed consent. The analysis tool used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results of the study based on the analysis test show a significant influence of brand image, patient experience, and trust on patient loyalty. However, the influence of brand image and patient experience on patient loyalty, when mediated by trust, is not significant. It is recommended that the hospital improve patient loyalty by enhancing the quality of services through various internal evaluations of the existing system to meet patient expectations and build stronger relationships.

Objective: to analyze the influence of Organizational Support (OS) and Work Environment (WE) on Employee Retention (ER) with Employee Engagement (EE) as an intervening variable. Method: This study uses a quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach. Data analysis: Index analysis using three box methods, the analysis method using SEM - PLS. Population and Sample: The population in this study were all nurses at RSKM I totaling 112, with a saturated sample, and 100 respondents who met the inclusion criteria. Results: The results showed that there was an influence of OS, WE and EE simultaneously on ER (p = 0.000), there was a significant influence of OS on ER (p = 0.000), there was a significant influence of WE on ER (p = 0.000), there was a significant influence of OS on EE (p = 0.000), there was an influence of WE on EE (p = 0, 000), there was a significant influence of EE on ER (p = 0, 000), there was an influence of OS on ER mediated by EE (p = 0.001) there was a significant influence of WE on ER mediated by EE (p = 0.000). Recommendation: The hospital needs to improve the system in providing employee wages, and must pay attention to the facilities needed to support the work of its employees, so that employees in this hospital are more enthusiastic in their work, have a sense of attachment to the hospital, and it is hoped that employee retention will also increase.

Abstract

Patient safety is a top priority in hospital services, one of which is achieved through the implementation of early detection systems such as the Early Warning Score (EWS) to prevent the deterioration of patients’ clinical conditions. However, nurse compliance in applying EWS remains a challenge, as observed at Annisa Hospital Cikarang. Objective:To analyze the influence of knowledge and supervision techniques on compliance with EWS implementation, with work attitude as an intervening variable. This study employed a quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach. The index analysis was conducted using the Three Box Method, and data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM–PLS). The population comprised all nurses working in the Emergency Department (ED) and inpatient wards at Annisa Hospital Cikarang. A total sampling technique was applied, resulting in 100 respondents. The findings revealed that, simultaneously, knowledge, supervision techniques, and work attitude significantly influenced compliance with EWS implementation. Partially, knowledge and supervision techniques also had a positive effect on work attitude. Furthermore, work attitude was proven to mediate the effect of knowledge and supervision techniques on nurse compliance. The Three Box Method analysis indicated that although the compliance index was categorized as high, weaknesses persisted in the dimensions of professional responsibility and timely reporting
