Abstract

[IMPLEMENTATION OF 2013 CURRICULUM FOR CHEMICAL TEACHERS IN SMA Negeri AT BENGKULU ] This research is a description research conducted from SMA Negeri 1 to SMA Negeri 10 Kota Bengkulu for chemistry teacher in 2016/2017 academic year. This study aims to describe the implementation of the 2013 curriculum for chemistry teachers in the SMA Negeri in Bengkulu City. The population of this research is all the chemistry teachers who teach in ten SMA Negeri in Bengkulu consisting of 42 teachers. Samples were taken by proportional random sampling technique as much as 20%, but the samples taken are teachers who have implemented the curriculum 2013. Obtained final sample of 26 teachers. In this study, a questionnaire was used to collect data, including indicators of the overall implementation of the curriculum, scattered on 53 points of statement, using Likert Scale with a score of 1 to 4. which was then processed using Statistical Product Service Solution(SPSS)16 program. The results showed that the implementation of the 2013 curriculum, the average percentage of teachers who have implemented is 66.67% with the category mostly implemented. Specifically that is, planning obtained at 65,385%, implementation obtained at 57,692%. and assessment of learning result obtained at 76,923% with category mostly executed.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in student chemistry learning outcomes between classes that apply the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) learning model with a class that applies the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model to chemical compounds. This type of research is quasi-experimental with a population of class X IPA Academic Year 2018/2019 which amounts to 204 students. Samples were obtained from the results of the normality test and homogeneity test, namely class X IPA 4 which applied the STAD learning model with cation anion media and class X IPA 6 which applied the TGT learning model with anion cation card media. This study was conducted in January-March 2019. Analysis of the data used is the average (mean), normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing (u test). In general, the two models were able to improve learning outcomes, where the STAD learning model obtained higher results, namely 79.723. Data on students' chemistry learning outcomes were obtained from the pretest and posttest values where the average value of the increase in cognitive learning outcomes for the STAD class and the TGT class was 57,222 and 46,944. Through a series of statistical tests hypotheses were tested using the u test with a significant level (? <0.05) indicating the value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0,000. This shows that there are significant differences in learning outcomes between classes applying the STAD learning model assisted by anion cation cards with classes that apply the TGT learning model assisted by anion cation cards.

Abstract

[RELATIONS  OF STUDENTS PERCEPTION AND  VARIATION TEACHING STYLE   WITH  CHEMISTRY LEARNING  OUTCOMES  AT CLASS X MIPA IN SMA NEGERI KOTA BENGKULU  IN 2016/2017 ACADEMICS YEAR ] In teaching and learning activities at school, often faced with the problem of low student learning outcomes. Student learning outcomes is one indicator to measure success in the implementation of learning process. Student learning outcomes are influenced by several factors, both external and internal factors. One of the internal factors that can affect student learning outcomes is perception. The object of perception here is the variation of the teacher's teaching style. The purpose of this study is to obtain data about students' perceptions about the variation of teaching style of chemistry teacher and student chemistry learning outcomes in SMA Negeri Kota Bengkulu academic year 2016/2017. Polpulation in this research is all students of class X of MIPA in State Senior High School of Bengkulu which amounted to 1620 students. The technique of determining the sample that will be used by the researcher is Proportional Random Sampling technique and the sample is 324 students. Data analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis, normality test, linearity, correlation and hypothesis test. Based on the analysis, the correlation coefficient value is 0.232 > 0.11 (r count t > r table), and t count > t table (4,312 > 1,967), indicating that there is a significant positive correlation between students' perception about teacher teaching style variation and student's chemistry learning result.

Abstract

This research was aimed to know  the differences between the student’s chemical learning activities and achievement by using a models called Team Assisted Individualization and Group Investigation based on Curriculum 2013. The samples in this research is class X MIA 3 (Team Assisted Individualization) and X MIA 6 (Group Investigation). The result of this research is learning activities and achievement and than the analysis used are the score and percentage of mean, normality tests, homogeneity tests, hypothesis tests. The observation result of student’s learning activities in the 1 and 2 of experimental class was 78.79% and 68,18%. The mean score of student’s achievement for experimental class 1 and 2 was 80,56 and 75,31. The result of t test obtained tcount > ttable, 10,6 > 1,0 for learning activities and 3,36 > 2,30 for achievement. It means there was a significant differences between the student’s chemical learning activities and achievement by using both models of learning.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the misconceptions of Chemistry Mathematics course participants during online learning in Chemistry Education Study Program, University of Bengkulu in the 2020/2021 academic year. This research starts with an online learning process for 4 meeting using Zoom meeting application and Google Classroom using synchronous and asynchronous methods. The method used to detect misconceptions is to provide a Three tier multiple choice diagnostic test consisting of multiple choice question, clear reasons in the form of an essay, and the level of confidence in answering and giving reasons. The tool used in this research is attest tool in the form of a diagnostic test and non-test tool in the form of an interview. Data collection techniques were conducted through test sheets in the form of a Google Forms application and short interviews about diagnostic tests in the form of videos. Data analysis was conducted on response options, reasons, and confidence in responding. The results showed that online learning had an impact on the misconceptions about Chemistry Mathematics course participants with a range of 0-50% where the highest misconception identification results were found in the application of inverse trigonometric functions by 50%,while 0% misconceptions were obtained in the basic concepts of algebraic functions and conversion of rational equations into a partial fractions.

Abstract

Abstract The aim of this public service activity is to teach teachers to be able to create a digital book using Kvisoft Flipbook Maker application as a learning media for high school teachers in SMAN 4, Kota Bengkulu and describing the feedbacks of the books from the teachers. In this activity, there were three approaching methods that were used, namely workshop, guided practice, and evaluation. The instrument used in this activity was a response questionnaire from the teachers. The result from the questionnaire shows the average level of satisfactory of 4,25 (very good). It means that teachers understood and ready in creating and using the digital book using this application. Teachers were actively involved from the preparation stage, implementation on class, and inducing other schools to use the digital books. The teachers involved were very eager and enthusiast as the instruction to make the digital book was easy to follow, the software was readily available, and the product was easily accessible. Abstrak Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk membuat buku digital menggunakan aplikasi Kvisoft Flipbook Maker sebagai media pembelajaran bagi Guru SMAN 4 Kota Bengkulu serta mendeskripsikan respon guru terhadap buku digital yang dibuat. Dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini menggunakan tiga metode pendekatan yaitu pembekalan/workshop, praktek terbimbing dan evaluasi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar angket respon guru terhadap buku digital yang dibuat. Berdasarkan hasil pengabdian yang telah dilakukan, guru telah berhasil membuat buku digital dengan menggunakan panduan yang sudah dibuat. Dari angket yang disebar diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 4,25 dengan kategori Sangat Baik. Artinya guru/ peserta telah memahami dan siap dalam membuat buku digital menggunakan aplikasi ini mulai dari tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan dan aplikasinya di kelas dan pengimbasannya kepada sekolah lain. Guru yang mendapatkan pelatihan ini sangat senang dan antusias terhadap pelatihan yang diberikan. Kelebihan buku digital diantaranya adalah untuk mendapatkan dan membuatnya sangat mudah, tidak terlalu banyak biaya dan bisa dilihat dimana saja dan kapan saja.

Abstract

This development research aims to determine the level of feasibility and student response to the developed digital LKPD. The research was carried out in June-August 2021 at Bengkulu University and SMAN 08 Padang Jaya Bengkulu Utara. The development model used in this study is the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages, namely, Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The sample used in this study was class XII IPA. The trial was conducted on a small scale with 12 students of class XII science. The research data was obtained from a validation questionnaire of material experts and media experts as well as student response questionnaires. From the results of the study, it was obtained that the feasibility level of digital LKPD in the material aspect was 85% with a very valid category. Meanwhile, the media aspect is 85,6% with a very valid category. The results of student responses to digital LKPD in small-scale trials obtained a percentage of 87.03% with a very interesting category. The results of this study indicate that the Digital LKPD developed is very feasible to be used in the learning process.

Abstract

SMPN 3 Tebat Karai merupakan salah satu sekolah yang ada di Desa Tapak Gedung, Kabupaten Kepahiang yang memiliki sarana laboratorium komputer di sekolah.  Akan tetapi pemanfaatan laboratorium komputer di sekolah masih belum maksimal, oleh karena itu perlu diadakan workshop yaitu berupa pelatihan dan pendampingan tentang pembuatan media berbasis informasi dan Teknologi (IT). Tujuan pengabdian ini untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan pengetahuan guru dalam membuat dan merancang media pembelajaran khususnya bahan ajar digital berbasis android menggunakan aplikasi articulate storyline serta mengetahui respon guru-guru SMPN 3 Tebat Karai terhadap kegiatan workshop bahan ajar digital berbasis android menggunakan aplikasi articulate storyline. Metode yang digunakan untuk kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah pembekalan/workshop, praktik terbimbing dan evaluasi.  Peserta kegiatan adalah guru SMPN 3 Tebat Karai yang berjumlah 15 orang. Kegiatan pengabdian berlangsung dengan lancar, peserta sangat antusias terhadap materi yang disajikan tim. Sebanyak 75% peserta telah berhasil membuat bahan ajar menggunakan aplikasi articulate storyline. Dari angket yang disebarkan 100% guru sangat tertarik dengan materi pengabdian. 80% peserta memahami materi yang disampaikan tim pengabdian. Peserta berkomitmen untuk mencoba menerapkan bahan ajar yang telah dibuat kepada siswa di kelas setelah selesai kegiatan pengabdian berlangsung.SMPN 3 Tebat Karai is one of the schools in Tapak Gedung Village, Kepahiang Regency, which has computer laboratory facilities at the school. However, the utilization of computer laboratories in schools is still not optimal; therefore, it is necessary to hold workshops in the form of training and mentoring on creating Information and Technology (IT)-based media. This service aims to increase teacher motivation and knowledge in making and designing learning media, especially android-based digital teaching materials using the articulate storyline application, and to know the responses of SMPN 3 Tebat Karai teachers to Android-based digital teaching materials workshops using the articulate storyline application. The method used for this service activity is debriefing/workshop, guided practice and evaluation. The activity participants were 15 Tebat Karai SMPN 3 teachers. The service activities went smoothly; the participants were very enthusiastic about the material presented by the team. As many as 75% of participants have succeeded in making teaching materials using the articulate storyline application. From the questionnaires distributed, 100% of the teachers were very interested in the service material. 80% of participants understood the material presented by the service team. Participants are committed to applying the teaching materials made to students in class after the community service activities are finished.

Abstract

This study aims to develop teaching materials in the form of an Interactive E-Module on Thermochemistry at SMA Negeri 3 Bengkulu City. The feasibility of this Interactive E-Module is based on the assessment of media experts and material experts. Products that are declared feasible, are known to be attractive based on a questionnaire response to the interest of students and teachers. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE type of research model. There are 2 media and material validators each who are competent in their fields. The small-scale test sample was 12 students with purposive sampling technique and for the teacher's interest response test as many as 3 chemistry teachers. The results of the feasibility of the interactive E-Module are based on the assessment of media experts getting very valid qualifications with an average percentage of 94.50%, material validation getting very valid qualifications with an average percentage of 93.88%, student responses getting very interesting qualifications with an average percentage of 91.41% and the teacher's response to getting very attractive qualifications with an average percentage of 90.55%. This shows that the interactive E-Module on the thermochemical material produced in this study is considered very feasible to be used in learning.

Abstract

The challenge in 4.0 era requires teachers as part of the society to have certain qualities such as able to prepare knowledgeable and skillful students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) subjects as STEM based learning is align with 2013 curriculum in Indonesia. At SDN 6 Tebat Karai, teachers' ability to develop STEM-based learning tools is still lacking, so training in making and developing learning tools is needed. This activity is a community service activity aimed at elementary teachers so that they can design, prepare, and produce a set of STEM-based teaching instruments and able to perform those instruments in a classroom. The community service activity was done in SDN 06 (state elementary school) of Tebat Karai Region, Kepahiang on 28-29th of July 2023. This activity was a training program followed by 15 elementary teachers of Tebat Karai. The training method used was technical assistance method in a workshop that consisted of training, guided practice, monitoring, and evaluation processes. The output of this activity was STEM-based lesson plan using project-based learning model that consist of 6 major learning activities which are: (1) introductory by giving essential questions; (2) project planning; (3) scheduling; (4) project progress monitoring; (5) student assessment; (6) learning experience evaluation. From the activities that have been carried out, the results obtained are an increase in teacher understanding of STEM-based learning tools with a difference in N-Gain value of 0.87 in the high category.
