Abstract

One of the ecological roles of mangroves is to act as a barrier to seawater intrusion, which is crucial for maintaining the balance of coastal ecosystems. Gebang Village is a coastal area with mangrove forests along its coastline, but the density of these forests varies from location to location. This study aims to determine the relationship between mangrove forest density and the quality of well water in Gebang Village, the main source of clean water for the local community. Well water samples were taken at three locations selected using a purposive sampling technique based on mangrove density levels (low, medium and high) to ensure comprehensive representation. The results showed a significant relationship between mangrove density and salinity, turbidity and total dissolved solids (TDS) in the well water of Gebang Village residents, particularly in wells close to the coastline. The higher the mangrove density, the lower the salinity, turbidity and TDS parameter values in well water, indicating the effectiveness of mangroves in filtering and protecting groundwater sources from seawater contamination.

Abstract

This report discusses the air quality of flue gas emissions from Chimney Units 3 and 4 at PT. X. The study was conducted as part of an internship program aimed at evaluating emission testing methods, the compliance of test results with emission quality standards, and the potential impacts of air pollution. The testing methods applied refer to Government Regulation No. 22 of 2021 and the Ministry of Environment Regulation No. 15 of 2019. The test results show that the emission levels from both units remain below the established quality standards, although some parameters are approaching the threshold limits. Regular monitoring is conducted to ensure emissions remain within safe limits. It is expected that this report can provide useful information as a reference for air pollution control in the industrial sector.

Abstract

Proyek konstruksi Rumah Sakit Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (RSPTN) Universitas X menghasilkan berbagai jenis Limbah B3 dari aktivitas pembangunan, operasional lapangan, dan perawatan peralatan. Limbah tersebut memiliki sifat berbahaya sehingga memerlukan pengelolaan sesuai regulasi untuk mencegah pencemaran dan risiko kesehatan. Studi ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi jenis Limbah B3 yang timbul serta menilai kesesuaian pengelolaannya di Tempat Penyimpanan Sementara (TPS) dengan PP No. 22 Tahun 2021, Permen LH No. 14 Tahun 2013, dan Permen LHK No. 20 Tahun 2020. Limbah yang dihasilkan meliputi oli bekas, cat beserta wadahnya, solar bekas, bahan pelapis kedap air, dan thinner. Pengemasan dan pelabelan sudah sesuai ketentuan, namun fasilitas TPS masih perlu ditingkatkan seperti penutupan bangunan, ketahanan lantai, fasilitas keselamatan, dan kerapian penyimpanan. Pemindahan limbah dilakukan melalui pihak berizin seperti DLH. Secara umum, pengelolaan Limbah B3 cukup baik, tetapi masih diperlukan peningkatan sarana TPS agar lebih aman dan sesuai persyaratan.

Abstract

The implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is a crucial aspect in construction projects to minimize workplace accidents and improve labor productivity. This internship report aims to evaluate the implementation of the OSH system at PT. X on the RSPTN Universitas X Project. The methods used include field observations, interviews with related personnel, and documentation review. The results indicate that OSH implementation has been carried out through the provision of personal protective equipment (PPE), safety induction programs, installation of safety signs, and routine supervision. However, several violations in PPE usage were still observed. Consistent and continuous OSH implementation is necessary to achieve the zero accident target in the project environment.
